Same for me. I'm 6 years in now, was a dual user during the transition, and have slipped off that cart a few times since. Monkey on your back is a very good analogy. Easy to get really bummed out when you slip up, but you have a good support system here. vaping isn't as wildly popular as it was (try watching some of the old shows like mod Envy and such from the old and defunct Vapers.tv on the tube)...but despite the legislation and disinformation campaigns, it still works to keep us from relapsing.

I still like them but the other tanks I got are better and are a better vape. One issue I have is that the only coils made for them are subohm with 0.5 being the highest and it's a dual coil. It's a better vape but I have to run them at higher wattage which drinks more juice and an 18650 battery runs out a lot quicker than when vaping 1.2 ohms single coil.

But damn, the vape is nicer and it's cooler than subtank 0.5 ohm coils (I prefer the cooler vape which is why I never took to the 0.5 ohm kanger soils). I paid an average of about $8 per pack average for all my kanger OCC/SSOCC coils and I have a feeling I would have to take a loss. Bummer.

I don’t remember for sure but know I paid a lot less than that for the Clapton coils.

Really... I feel so bad. Quit for over 8 months and "slipped" back into smoking (still love vaping and hate smoking, but need a few every morning) So love vaping and wonder why I why still do that (hate myself for it) Going to vape right now and re-think life (why, after 8 months did I slip?) I have may excuses... stress, my living situation, ect. but every time I smoke. I'm like this tastes like crap, my lungs hate me, and i just want to vape instead (because it tastes so good) Seriously... it is hard to get this "monkey off my back". Didn't mean to bring anyone down... just being honest.

Every cigarette not smoked is a win. Don’t guilt yourself into a depression like I did years ago. I was vaping, using snus and nasal snuff and still slipping years ago. It took me several years. Even if you never completely quit, you’re still way better off than if you were smoking the entire time.

Hey, as so many other people already know, I was a "Dual-User" for over 9 years. it wasn't until more recently (almost 2 years now) I became a full-time vapor. During that earlier time period we had a very active thread were "We" discussed the ins-n-outs of quitting and supported one another as dual users that you might want to check out. There are a few "Stories" about the trials and tribulations people went through as they Started, "Fell Off The Wagon", and Continued their "Transition into the World of Vaping" you might find them very helpful to read:

Yes I still Smoke Cigarettes and I am addicted to the smoking habit - support and chat thread.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Since I bought those, I’ve stocked up on a few other coils that I like better.

This is why I hate trying new stuff at this point. I'm afraid I'll try something I like better than what I have stocked up on and then feel compelled to stock up on that new thing I like more. Sure enough, that's what happened. Ignorance is bliss (and a lot cheaper lol).

As said, do NOT beat yourself up over that! It happens. Hard to change a 44+ year habit!!

For me, it was a question of getting the nic to the right level, with likeable flavors, of course. While I have backed it down a bit, I still vape at about 18 mg/ml, but it took a few months at 24 for me to get "over the hump." No desire to go lower, even 8+ years in. When I do mix lower, well, I just vape a lot more and "jones" for the nic, so why bother?

It didn't help either that my wife still smoked while I was trying to quit. We always smoked in the garage and never in the house so I still vape in the garage. Every time I go out to vape, I walk past the cigarettes. Talk about temptation. Doing diy mixing helped me quite a bit. To have a bunch of flavors on hand and being able to attempt to make just about any flavor combination that you want is attractive and for me it's turned into a hobby between mixing and doing product reviews.

Here's how I prepared in case the bottom falls out of vaping: 4 Brunhilde RTA's, 6 UD Bellus RTA's, 50 boxes of Aspire Nautilus coils, too many to count Aspire Nautilus tanks, and about 50-60 bottles of my favorite vape juices. Juices will last for years if kept in a cool, dark, dry spot and in airtight plastic bags. I have some juices from 4 years ago. A little darker, but the flavor is the same if a little deeper.

I also own several mech mods that use readily available batteries. I don't see 18650 batteries being outlawed anytime soon. Too many other uses other than vape mods. I use a "Kick" that has an automatic cutoff and acts as protection from an overheating battery.

Over did it? Maybe. But, I'm ready for the apocalypse and the inevitable backlash when businesses go under and local/state/federal tax revenue takes a nose dive. Sort of like Prohibition.

Anyway, at my age, my stash will probably outlive me and end up in the Smithsonian.

I guess I'm an over prepper. If I only had what you listed then I'd be nervous and would still be ordering like crazy. I don't use store bought liquids but have 10.5 liters of 100mg nic, over 100 mods, probably more tanks and rtas than mods, an uncounted number of pods and pod mods, hundreds of a handful of different drop in coils in case I can't build at some point, and over 600 flavors with some in bulk. I am pretty sure that we'll still be able to buy flavorings and the deeming isn't why I have that many. It turned into a hobby.

Just wondering... are you talking about the UD Bellus? Very small build deck, not enough space to work with? It has been a nightmare for me (but the one time I got it to work, I loved it) Please give me some tips. ;)
Lol, I honestly wouldn't know. I broke both glass tanks the first couple days I had it (bad week). It's been sitting in my vape kit for years and never been put through its paces.

The design is very similar to the obs crius though, which was my favorite rta for a couple years b4 I broke all the glass for that one too. But with the crius I usually did 8 wraps microcoils. Came out to about .6 Can't really go wide diameter coils because there isn't enough space in the chimney. The juice wells are pretty small too so since the microcoils can't have tons of cotton the wells don't get too choked up going that route.

But the real kick in the pants about it all is I finally got my shipping notice from ft on the bellus replacement tanks and I realized I ordered the ones for bellus plus! Doesn't look like I'll get to try that one out any time soon after all. Maybe I'll try throwing some extra large o-rings on there and see if it works but I'll have plenty of other stuff to play with soon enough as it is.

I've been stockpiled since before this thread was created. That never stopped me from adding more and newer stuff, it's been a lot of fun. Unfortunately it looks like the party will soon be over.

Just bought 4 more Pico squeeze 2 squonk mods directly from Eleaf for $20 ea on closeout. I now likely have more of them on hand than the manufacturer. My wife still uses a clearomizer (drop in coils) and while we have a quantity of coilheads on hand I picked up a few extra MTL RBAs for her just in case.

I fully intend to continue ordering small items like pre-wound coils, drip tips etc directly from China and will until they stop making it through customs.

I've got enough juice and hardware for about 6 years...I hope. The garage freezer is full. Once they kill online purchases, I'm done buying. In 6 years, when I turn 79, I will either have to radically change my gear and nicotine juice, or just go back to smoking cigarettes. After 40 years of PAD or more cigarettes, I switched to vaping over night back in 2010. I'm still using pre-punched cartos in a 6 ml. tank on top of Eleaf Picos.

I posted about this in another thread...but I thought I'd post about it here, too, since many people come here who don't frequent that thread.

In case anyone plans to order anything from FT from now until Feb. 17th...this info might save you the aggravation I went through last night and until 5:30AM! Their Chinese New Year holiday starts Feb. 6th and they won't be back to work until Feb. 17th. Many people may have known those dates, but I never expected the following PITA experience 4 days before the holiday period started, especially when things I was ordering were shown as In Stock!

Even if items show as In Stock, Ships Next Day, Ships in 3 Business Days, etc.....you won't know until AFTER you've completed Checkout and take a look at your order...that the item's shipment date has been changed to 2/23/2021 at the earliest! All but 1 of mine was changed to 2/25/2021.

Chatted for a long time with CS rep. Sheryl, after placing and then ultimately cancelling 3 orders...after trying alternate or similar items, and/or quantities in my Cart that still showed In Stock....only to find out the same thing after Checkout! She said they were in the process then of changing all shipment dates on item pages to reflect the new late Feb. dates. They're also actually out of stock on many items that don't show Temporarily Out of Stock, and are running very low on a bunch items, too, ...and will be waiting for deliveries from the manufacturers after the 17th.

IIRC, you got yours just about the same time I did, from Ejuice Steals when they had them at an amazingly low price.

Yes I think you are right. It was some crazy low price but I don't remember exactly what it was.

I do, but I won't post it here. No need for everyone to know what they cost...'cause they haven't had any more since they sold out of them a year ago this month. Plus, Ejuice Steals plays with their pricing more than any other website I've ever bought things from. They'll raise everything in Clearance by $1, then maybe 3 weeks later lower them all by $.50. A month later they'll all go up by as much as $3 across the board! A few weeks later...they'll go down $1.50 or so. Made no sense to me at all. I do know it had to do with them "merging" inventories and business with another company though. Other company didn't want to sell their Clearance stuff as cheaply as EJS was selling theirs!

Between Eightvape and Ejuicesteals it was a wild ride on a pricing roller coaster back when they were moving that inventory out. It was fun while it lasted!

I expected a bit of that as these shipping cutoffs come up but it seems stock levels in the US are dropping. By the time Chinese New Year ends and shipping resumes many online sellers may have stopped replenishing. A dangerous waiting game for bargain hunters.
