I'm not a REO Owner.

But I remember this Thread because the Concept of a Hot Spring always Intrigued me.

A pdib mod :>p

Maybe something can be Gleaned out of it?

There is also a Link in this thread...

Wanted - Reo grand spare parts, mostly want spring

... to someone who sells Hot Springs for another Mod. Not sure if they would work? But the Price seems right to do some Old School Modding if REO springs can't be found.

I do have safety vape fuses, didn't think of that but it might work! What is a bolt? A safety thing?

fuse mod was to substitute spring with 20 amp automotive fuse, kinda bent into place

bolt, i think was supertrucker, drill a hole in the bottom, put a solid bolt (like nuts n bolts) up to where battery sits

i don't think a safety vape fuse will fit on top of the battery in a REO? I only use button top batteries so I don't know if you can use a flat top? I don't have a P67 though.

Some REOs can use flat top batteries. If they have the later gold fire bar they can.

That said I HAVE used flat top batteries in the older REOs. BUT it take a ton of noalox and patient to get it to fire consistently

That bolt idea sounds really unsafe

The P67 is supposed to take flat tops, user said that is what he used.

My REO Grand LP, P67 and Mini 2.1 LP all use flat tops. But yes- all with gold fire bars

IF I remember right (big if) the P67 and LP REOs all came out at or near the same time as the gold fire bar. The gold fire bar was designed to use flat tops. Earlier REOs with the silver metal pointed fire bar were designed for nipple tops.

Now me being me I had already been using the flat tops in the old REOs for years at that point as finding decent nipple top batteries had already become difficult.

EDIT: If I remember right Noalox is not to be used with the gold ones. You use a different thing. Will have to hunt down my tube later to remember what the stuff is.

Noalox is messy stuff and is part of the reason they used to tell you to take you REO apart and wash it in soapy water scrubbing it with a toothbrush (the old style metal REOs).

EDIT 2: It's Deoxit Gold you use on the gold bar REOs

I'm pretty sure they're safe to order from again.
i'm pretty sure no place is safe to order from anymore.

flavorjungle.com is one that changed their name (formerly ecigexpress)
Was just looking there and am curious why they require an adult signature for delivery ( Shipping Information ). They don't seem to sell anything that's exclusively for vaping or that contains nic. Licensed as a tobacco dealer, no matter what they're selling, maybe...?

Yes @Myrany you got it (hi there by the way!). De-oxit D100L (red colour) for cleaning contacts and De-oxit Gold for a layer on top to help conductivity.

And on whether you're willing to risk seizure + ATF agents knocking on your door w/ a warrant.
That is where I am. Are there things I would happily buy? yes. Do I need them no not really. I made sure I was set before the date they had to start reporting things and the shipping mess kicked in. I do not want to take the risk.

It appears this has nothing to do with PACT Act. That's the same shipping policy from EcigExpress. Adult Signature was added to their shipping policy at ECX sometime in 2017
2017 ECX Shipping Information Page

Also, I noticed that their shipping costs in their shipping estimator don't reflect the cost of adult signature (which is about $7-8 on top of shipping costs) and I also noticed their shipping estimator includes FedEx, which doesn't ship vape supplies anymore (or so they say).

I just email them about it. Just curious what their response will be (if at all) and if they remove it. They may not realize it's still there.
