I thought 20 drops was 1 ml.

That's a "standard" measure. I have a couple different pipette sizes, and I've counted about 30-35 drops/ml for one of them. The key is CONSISTENCY. Once you know YOUR drop size, just stay in proportion.

The DIY calculators allow you to modify your number of drops/ml to help you stay consistent. (I'm just too stinkin' lazy to count :D )

Right. That's why Semiretired listed those things in answer to your question "what do I not need to hoard".

i remember the thread, it's just that i hear contrasting ideas. who is right at this point? i am thinking some things are going to be very difficult for them to mess with. some things im not so sure of. like kanthal, im not sure what uses it has besides vaping? the batteries we used, the high strength batteries like the brown LG's im guessing are not vape exclusive. cotton LOL.

at this point are things still being produced and imported OR are supplies going to get exhausted and run out?

things working against me..... i am 35 years old, that's a long way to go. i have a wife that also vapes so i have to hoard for two people. returning to cigarettes is not an option. i enjoy vaping, i strongly believe its not doing me much harm, if any. i do not plan on allowing the government tell me that i cant consume nicotine in the safest form available.

yup i am making progress but still work to be done. i am hoping we would get significantly longer then a year out of a device. its difficult to know how long a device will last. the relux seems to be a solid choice. we have owned the one we have for at least a year, it even got soaked once. seems well made.

Just a little more stocking up for us. Since my wife likes simple clearos and isn't a tinkerer, I went after the Kanger CEX or T5 ones that Heavens gift has on clearance. The heads are simple to replace and rebuild and with 30 clearos and 35 heads shipped for about $30, I couldn't pass them up. She will be better prepared if something happens to me or she wises up and gives me the boot!

I haven't counted mine but all of my vari's are from when they first came out around 2010 or so, except I did cave and got the 'glow' recently. I have been able to resist all those sales from provape even tho their emails and you guys keep testing me.

You just reminded me that I have a glovari too. Here I was thinking I had all SS or silver is what I think I referred to them as, the other night

Legend has it that the Glovari, when placed on a nightstand, has magical curative powers. Just don't tell the FDA!;)

I just want to add this: For years, folks were saying things like the FDA can't touch ......(drip tips, for example), so I falsely assumed most things were safe, would only be taxed and controlled for 'safety'. We were so wrong because of one little word: "deemed". If the FDA 'deems' it to be used in vaping, it becomes something they can regulate, ban, control, etc. I am not certain that anything is completely safe from their grasp but I think flavorings and vg/pg, wick materials might make it. I am a little worried that they will ban batteries that aren't used in other devices, we shall see. My point is never take anything for granted where the FDA/gov is concerned.

Dang. Sounds nom nom. I saw ya'll talking about Samoa too, not sure if it was on this or another thread. I like cookie vapes every once and again. So where do you get your pre mix stuff and how do I learn to get into this easier way of making juice?
What Nic level do you use? You can buy most Nic levels at Wizard labs in a PG/VG mix ready to use and I think most Nic sellers offer it, Heartland, Nude Nic, etc. for small size flavors to try go to GremlinDIY, 5ml flavor size is $1.75 I think. Samoa Cookie is by Real Flavor. So pretty cheap to try :) just rinse out a bottle you have around to use.

I've decided there's three levels of being done.

The first level comes when we have everything we think we need and could be fine for many years to come if we needed to be. :)

After we reach that first level we look at everything we have again and decide there are still some more things we'd feel much more comfortable having for the long haul especially if we can still purchase them at a really good price. Often its more of what we have already, and not something brand new to our stash.

After we've finished that second level of being done we move onto the third level of buying more stuff just because we still can :D

I'm not sure this fits any level specifically but adding something you like but didn't think was absolutely necessary at huge discounts can occur at any time and is easily rationalized. Especially in the third level.

    At least for me.

I think this is where I have landed. I'm only getting things to flesh out what I currently have (like a buzz-load of Melo coils :D ) I did treat myself to a new mod (I really didn't need it, but $20 seemed like a good deal to not try.)

There's really nothing out there that I WANT right now. I have PLENTY of mods and toppers, coils, wire, wick, flavorings, PG/VG/Nic. Batteries are in pretty good shape, but within a year, I'll start cycling out some of my older ones.

Sweet man, thanks for your help. After I get those, I'll PM you, @bnrkwest, or @Sugar_and_Spice later on what to get after the supplies. I know this isn't ya'lls first rodeo and you guys have experience.
You can find things at some of the DIY shops, I think One Stop DIY Shop has supplies. But you really don't need much, if you mix in the bottle it is so much easier. I don't use syringes, but if you like to measure that way it is fine. Once you try the simple way you can get into DIY from there and find how you like to make juice. But I wouldn't worry about extra stuff until you know you like what you make :) I think you will because the flavor blends are fabulous! One thing I do is mix things light on flavor first, then add to it after I try it. The Samoa I will add more drops since it is light, so will add 5 more drops and see how I like it. I write it down until I get proportions to my liking :)

I got my Samoa Cookie and some other Real Flavors and more TFA samples I didn't have, at OSDIY Shop. Their prices during their Sept. sale...with 15% off were:

    Real Flavors (15mL) sample size = $2.12
3 times as much for only $.37 more

    TFA (15mL) sample size = $1.83

Edit: I forgot about their One Stop Flavors and One Stop Blends prices (like Lucky Shot, Baked Cinnamon Roll, Strawberry Milk, Lotta Latte, etc.):

They're regularly $1.49 for 9mL sample size, but with their Sept. 15% off...they're only $1.27 each!
