stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Copy & Pasted that. That's my start into juice making. If I only knew a pegasus that could deliver me some syringes and flavorings this time at night, I'd be mixing me up some Somoa Cookies. When I buys some syringes like @sketchness said, what should I get after that? I already have a clean 120ml, 100ml, 60ml, 30ml, 15ml bottles..

Oh and what kind of syringes should I get? I know medical kind have different gauges and sizes, I'm sure it's the case with the kind ya'll are referring to use with making juice.
if there is a farm store near you (often called feed stores for horses etc) you can pick up syringes for $0.15-0.50 depending on the size and in cool tubes for storage.

i mix a cookie recipe for 600 mls at a time.. so i mix it 'bulk style'.. i have an electric juicer,, i put everything in the mixing cup,, (except the nic) and beat it until it turns white and foamy =about a minute or less.

pour it all into a 20oz ss water bottle. all done. the flavors are all done with 1 syringe and the glass of water to rinse the last used flavor out before getting the next flavor.

its about 10 minutes all together from start to clean up.......my cost i estimate around $12 for a near months supply.

on weekends i mix up small batches trying to find something to make another 600 mls of......so far i mix up a lot of stuff i like for a day or so.. but nothing i am in love with -----yet :)

on the smaller batches i mix in a smaller jar (old salt pepper shaker) and use a battery operated coffee frother.

nic is never mixed in my recipes until the time of use.............and that is kind of rare. instead i have been using my old nebox as a nicbox..

ot-but the nebox is acting up again.. trying to decide if i should put something smaller than a dime inside the battery compartment.. because the positive terminal doesnt want to make contact with the battery. ---this is rare event for mods because most battery compartments are tight,, the nebox actually uses a spring load allowing for a very thin shim to be used..i am thinking. -----the nebox is refusing every brand new and used battery right now.. but if i hold it just right it lights up for a second. the spring is fine,, the problem is the deep inside positive terminal.

Gosh! I made it to the end of the thread!!!

Today marks the end of a 1 week experiment: can a medium volume D2L vapor make good use out of dated eGo/Evod type equipment?

    Here's the opposing technologies:
    29138876444_8590c65a7e.jpg

The little Evod worked well as a "fill in" for my KF4's (not pictured) and was ok in the car to/from work but just did not have enough air flow to go with morning coffee or evenings in front of the TV.

The larger Evod was able to do a fairly good job of filling in the voids where the little one was not quite enough. With the airflow wide open and the twist turned up to 4.5V I'm able to get an ok amount of vapor production out of it.

So it seems that these can fill in when I no longer have the hands/eyes to wind/wick my own coils and my fancier mods have bit the dust.

I've decided there's three levels of being done.

The first level comes when we have everything we think we need and could be fine for many years to come if we needed to be. :)

After we reach that first level we look at everything we have again and decide there are still some more things we'd feel much more comfortable having for the long haul especially if we can still purchase them at a really good price. Often its more of what we have already, and not something brand new to our stash.

After we've finished that second level of being done we move onto the third level of buying more stuff just because we still can :D
    Ha!
    Well said!
I think I am in somewhere between the second and third level.
Heck, my bday is coming up so I think I am pulling the trigger for another relux..........

i think i am least over the hill in buying the expensive stuff and most of the rest of it should be inexpensive.

how do i know how much to hord?
First Nic base to last as long as you want to vape. Mods, figure how long each one "should" last and get backs ups for back ups incase if failures.
Toppers, again how long each will last, get back ups for back ups. The other stuff batteries, wire, wick, PG/VG, flavors stock what you feel comfortable with but they should be available long term.

Have you tried a pencil eraser to clean the spring and/or positive contact ?

That's a good point. Birthday and Christmas... do I want ties and cuff links or do I want vape stuff? I have lots of ties and cuff links.....

There ARE a couple of GP mech mods and a few RTAs that I have my eye on but can't justify buying myself...:)

everyone is dif,,i use rayon,, 1 box at sally's =several vapors lifetime supply. (I Pif it away)

mods,, pretty simple as i am a minimalist:

2 nebox (1 acting up) (its a mod w built in tank)
2 topboxes -1 atty rides in the car as a back up and the mod part is currently a battery charger on my desk.. the other sits next to my husband begging for attention
2 griffinc's=1 is my adv other is packed
    2 avocado -mostly packed/semi used
1 corolla- i like to use it when mixing
    3 rda's
    2 oni mechs
    4 pico mods

i plan on all of this lasting my husband and me the rest of our lives.. i figure the mech's will last darn near forever

i chain vape,, my husband barely ever vapes.. he still smokes.

yes,, i have tried cleaning it several times. kanger's have given me problems and their customer service for questions suck.. so they dont get my biz anymore.

One other stocking up strategy is to offset potential boredom. I have a bunch of RDA's and tanks that suit my style and were inexpensive closeouts. I may not use them for some time, if ever, but should I get the itch in the future I want my options handy.

Well that's too bad :nah: It's frustrating when a mod stops working for any reason and customer service isn't good.

Kanger products have been good to me (knock on wood), I've never needed to contact their customer service so I have no experience with them.

If the FDA 'deems' it to be used in vaping, it becomes something they can regulate, ban, control, etc. I am not certain that anything is completely safe from their grasp but I think flavorings and vg/pg, wick materials might make it. I am a little worried that they will ban batteries that aren't used in other devices, we shall see. My point is never take anything for granted where the FDA/gov is concerned.

Specialty flavors are about the only thing that was exclusively created for vaping - everything else was already on the market. Now you may not be able to walk into a vape shop to buy it or go to a vape website, but it is out there being used with other products.

How do you think that we found them in the first place and started incorporating them into our products. I can still remember us looking for glass tubing manufacturers so we could make tanks... And wick materials - several sources were tested from all kinds of products to determine what was best. Later they "became" vaping related as we adopted them.

    Totally agree

I have a bunch of RDA's and Tanks I bought a few years ago in co-ops for stocking up that I never got around to using that I figure will come in handy down the road when I just want to try something different then what I'm using every day :) I've always felt the variety of trying new things played a huge part in my success with vaping.:)

If you are not opposed to the idea, how about the things you use on flat top batts in mods that only take nipple top?

I agree but the problem is that as it stands now and according to the regs specifically, 'anything that is expected to be used in ends can be included in regulations/pmta.' So if they 'deem' that cap vanilla custard will be used in ends, they could mess with that in some way. I doubt they will go after every little thing but if they choose to aim at flavor vendors and such, it could potentially be a problem as with anything they can 'deem' to be used in ENDS whether used in something else or not.

You would be surprised what you can find in a Tractor Supply.

Gey food for pets, VACCINATIONS for pets. Methanol or methyl hydrate for my alcohol stoves, and much more.

Yeah, sugar and spice told me about that store, just never went in one. Usually for stuff like that, I go to Wal-greens, Lowe's/Home Depot, R.E.I., Bass Pro Shop because those are just closer to me. They only have Tractor Supply stores in smaller towns but I drive by one all the time. I guess it's time to take a peak in one now :)

If the flavor vendor advertises "vape safe" or provides vaping recipes and the like - then yes they can be targets. But if the flavor vendor changes their site to candy, baking, etc. then they would be safe - You would have to know what is safe to vape with or at least have the ability to find out before you purchased. There are already vendors re-aligning their sites away from e-cigs and related items. They are doing it to stay open. The smart ones will do just that.

They cannot go around and say Cap Vanilla Custard is an Ends item if it is used in other products and that is what the vendor is selling it for. It is just impossible for them to take it to that level. What are they going to do - make cupcakes illegal?

Just because you also order some and use it in a vape related manner is not the vendors fault.

What Nic level do you use? You can buy most Nic levels at Wizard labs in a PG/VG mix ready to use and I think most Nic sellers offer it, Heartland, Nude Nic, etc. for small size flavors to try go to GremlinDIY, 5ml flavor size is $1.75 I think. Samoa Cookie is by Real Flavor. So pretty cheap to try :) just rinse out a bottle you have around to use.

I use 6mg nic only. So far I've copy and pasted the suggested supply items and will get those hopefully sometime this week. I have a bunch of clean bottles in all sizes and storage containers already. I may need a few measuring items and that should cover the basics. Just trying to find out what I might make first; a creme, s&m, b&m, etc vape. I'll look at flavorings soon. Is there a nice one stop shop for nic, flavorings, etc?
