Thank you on that. Would you happen to know where I can get the 1 L or 500 ml glass bottles for base mix in my freezer?

I got mine from a place in Quebec along with some other bottles and 4 litres of VG. Some place locally would be you best bet as shipping on a couple would be more than they are worth. Amazon might be worth a shot.

Have you put me in your will yet??
That's spelled; Z-u-t-a-n...

Only kidding. I hope you outlive them pesky Provaris

Yeah, slightly jealous
I'll have to keep your address handy and stick it in my Provari box :) Willed to Zut Man, UK :)

I can't tell which version you have for sure but they all work about the same so the instructions on the joyetech site should cover everything. If that doesn't work, feel free to pm me tomorrow and I will see if I can help.
Okay downloaded the manual thank you for suggesting that. Didn't think of doing that before. I will go through it tomorrow and see if can get it to work on my tank again. Thanks for the offer ......maybe it is just defective and I never knew lol Will try again and if can't do it .... just going to toss it to junk pile

of course, everyone likes something different. as i said i am keeping the provari in my emergency survival gear collection. i also have some un-used 1860 AW batteries, the old RED ones laying around.

as we are on the topic of provari what is the best tank you can run on one. can take one of my sub ohm tanks and just use thicker wire with more wraps in order to achieve higher resistance?

Version 2 and 2.5, you are limited to 3.5 amps and 14.5 watts. I like the Subtank Nano among newer tanks for this mod as the smaller diameter works with the bevel top, but you can add a ring to make a smooth fit with a 22mm tank. I'd bet the Kayfun is the most popular tank on the ProVari, but most tanks with the ability to dial down the airflow and juice flow to match a higher ohm coil should be workable. Using a regular drip tip instead of a big bore one helps tighten up the draw too. More wraps of your existing wire or using a higher gage thinner wire should get you over 1 ohm. It will be pretty much a MTL setup though, so you may not use it for much more than emergencies. Still good to have those backups!

It looks to me like you must set it up before using it. This may help you as well.

I wouldn't toss it. If the display lights up and gives the readings, I am betting it works fine. Just a matter of setting it up with the right tank and volts. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Yeah I have put the wattage up to 5.0 but still not getting anything other than a tiny amount first time on trying .......if try again nothing. Let is sit and shut off and again only a tiny amount if anything. I am just hoping at this point that the next one I get will just be easier to use.
That sounds a little like what my brother complained about with his Lambo. He had given up on it and thrown it in a drawer when the Twist came out. Then he gave it to me.

He had been using the wrong batteries in it. The site he bought it from were out of the correct batteries. Variable mods all need high drain batteries. Back then IMR batteries were still rare. Now they're common.

    What batteries are you using?

    Jumping in here.
I have been making my own e liquid for over 5 years now so that is not an issue BUT I have never put it in glass for freezing as been said here.
Currently I have what would be 12 L at my preferred nic level ( 1 L of 200 mg, 1 L of 100 mg and 1 L of 48 mg) in the freezer in original plastic containers they came in.
So my question is what kind of glass stands up to the freezer? I have glass for all my mixing ..... current flavor mixes.
As for stocking other hardware I have to do it carefully as I do not have a income that has any wiggle room. That is why I have been mixing my own for years.
You are all making me worried about hardware ..... tanks, coils batteries (various types) I don't have :( I have two MVP box mod, a couple of clover Overlord 11 twists and the rest are ego twists... that all that I have been able to afford. My tanks are Nautilus mini tanks, Aerotank mini and Smok MIcro Core ADC 11 dual coil clearomizers. I clean those coils until they no longer work to stretch out the costs of them. I have some 510s for testing my mixes that is about it. Well other than the hundreds of the old mega cartomizers that I have never thrown out. So stocking up not easy if have to hold out more than a year to find something affordable.
But if need glass for storing base mix in freezer I will do that just please let me know what glass will stand up to the freezer temp.
Reading this thread has been an education.........wish I could be there with you :)
Oh by the way fasttech is no longer sending out batteries. Edit for this info added.
Do you have Carto tanks? You can use up those Cartos. You probably need some rebuilables. Lots of sales going on for older stuff which is basically what I bought. Maybe toss in a few Provari's, they are cheap now.

Okay didn't think about the batteries and just been trying to sort out what is what with them.
    What I have:
this one just took out of the evic :
    Efest 2000 mAh IMR18650 3.7V Li-MN High Drain rechargeable
I also have but not sure if good for it and not sure what they are for ratings are:
    Ultra Fire LC 18650 4200 mAh 3.7 Li-ion Blue
Samsung ICR18650-26F Samsung SDI 2E14 Pink
    No name ICR 18650 2200mAh 3.7- LD29

Well I am almost 60 never been good at math or science so this kinda frustrates me at times. I have had a run of bad luck with getting anything but twists. Hated the Zmax ? (that was my second attempt the first was getting GS VV Mod tried it once stuffed in box still have that to get rid of. The Zmax and didn't like it either as button kept going up when didn't want it to. Then I got a mechanical simple nothing to it but no kick and really wasn't working for me ......got a external kick uses the 510 but that didn't work at all (still have that) lol My luck has not been good for getting these I thought the eVic would do the work for me lol
Okay will any cable work with the eVic?

Hopefully fozzy or one of the other sub ohmers will see this and give you ideas. I can't help since I am a tootle puffer. :)

I sub ohm also. I tootle puff MTL sometimes also; when inside at work in my office or when around others not to disturb them with plumes. I'd rather respect someone's space/air and not push boundaries of annoyance when I exhale my vapor. I try to think about those around me, I know, weird..

I find when I feel the urge for a MTL style vape, the best tank (IMO) has always been my Russian 91% (Kayfun Lite) and my Provari. I use 28g Kanthol 7-8 wrap on a 2mm and I get around .9Ω - 1Ω for resistance, which to me (IMO again) is great for flavor on said or similar style atomizers, and that resistance has always worked on my Provari mini 2.5 w/ 18650 battery extension. Never could run a .8Ω but .9Ω always worked. Anything lower it wouldn't even read the resistance. Provari's are meant to last forever, take a beating while maintaining it's great look, straight signal, not pulse width, hit hard, flat, and, clean; still does 4 years later too.

I have a few carto tanks (cartomizers) not sure on spelling. I have some 510 atomizers and some 306 ones I use for testing my mixes. I have hundreds of those old Mega Cartomizers ...if you remember them? The big plastic ones that you filled with a needle ........might end up using them lol They have filler in them and taste is not great with that but at the time they were popular ( I am a stocker by nature but gave up stocking up with hardware for e cig as it changed so fast)
I have some Borg carto that I have not used too.

Out of the batteries you mentioned, use the Efest 2000 mah IMR. They're not the best IMR batteries. But, at least they are IMR. You shouldn't use the others with the Evic.
Okay thanks for letting me know. I knew I needed to figure out those batteries and been trying to learn about the better ones. I can always use them in my flashlight lol In my trying to learn about sub ohm I have paid attention to battery talk and knew about high drain but still not clear on what name brand is best and the mAh numbers.

Looks like a standard charger from pics, can't tell but here is one from HG, not sure if they charge shipping as I haven't ordered from there in a long time.

Do you have a regular charger for the batts? That would be best for charging.

The ICR batteries are good for the old-style mods, like the Bolt or any other non-VV, non-mech mod. You know, the ones we used before VV with the only electronics being a simple momentary switch. Either that or, like you say, a flashlight.

Yeah have a good battery charger but was thinking the cable for the evic that goes to programing via computer ....when I tried that with another cable it didn't work.

I have thought about building coils ......even have on wish list a kit for doing that at fasttech but I am worried that I will just not figure it out. I for sure would need a magnifier with a light to it. I am planning on getting a rebuildable soon in case I have to learn. In Canada not have the FDA messing it up here but since neighbors what happens in the US will hit us one way or another in Canada. Kinda been hoping that fasttech will be enough not have to go to extreme. You know as long as they can't stop the shipments from China :) Did make darn sure I had enough base mix to last me for a long time.

I have not heard that vg has that short of a shelf life. Not telling anyone else what to do but I have vg and pg that is over 5 years old and no discoloration, no smell, no change in viscosity, nothing. Just like new so I am not worried about that part of it. But that is just me and my :2c:
I looked up VG and it was good for 14-22 months

If you store it in tge cold and dark you can Stretch it a year or two.
