Thank goodness. :) I'm not super worried about vg and pg going away but who knows what will happen til it happens.
VG can't be taken off the market.

It is used as

A sweetener
As a preservative
in soap manufacturing
In the Wine making industry.
In hand lotion
And others.

When you run low get another quart or gallon but there is no need to stockpile 10 gallons.

5000 feet is a crap-ton of wire and I agree hoarding it is pointless.

I DID stock up on wire when I had a 25% off coupon from Lightning Vapes and grabbed just over 1000ft. Doing the math, my 1300-1400ft stock of Kanthal, Nichrome, SS and Clapton wire should EASILY last my lifetime.... so for well under $100 total, I have all of the different wires I will ever use. :thumb:
I have 450 feet 26 gaugs
50-75 feet 28 gauge
100 feet 25 gauge which I really don't like.

My coils last 2 1/2-3 months. I have enough Kanthal to last about 250 years.

Boston rounds (brown or blue) are best IMO but honestly any dark thick glass with a good cap that won't rust or degrade will work fine. I have 100mg NIc in 750ml and 1l beer growler bottles in the freezer along with 50/100/250ml Boston rounds. You don't need to spend a fortune on bottles to freeze.
You can do what you like but i would rather use #1 plastic than glass in the freezer any day

I have several hundred ft. spools of 28g, 26g, 24g , and 22g; Kanthol.
Last time I bought more was (4) 25 ft. spools Lightning Vapes - Clapton Wire.

A good Clapton build will last a months alone, even vaping it morning to night daily. Just change the wick every so often. Dry burn. Shiny brand new again. I only change when coil does look right after a dry burn; discolored, oxidized hard, brittle, etc.

I think wire has been the easiest thus far to stock up on. But it's not likely it'll be banned anyways for it's many uses, but still, it's the only thing I have stocked up on. There's so much stuff I want. I'm going to fiddle with making my own juice here shortly, I'm going to be busy soon, but excited at the same time. I like new things..

I have bought a mechanical mod before but had no kick and didn't see the attraction to it so gave it away. I bought a stand alone kick that uses the 510 connection and tried added it to that but nothing happened that was why gave it away but still have that kick thing. I also got one of those battery testers (round one with the 510 connection and still have that unused) I bought a Zmax long time ago and didn't like it (gave it away) ...bought G5 VV Mod and hated it with a passion still have it unused. Then I bought a Evic with all its fancy settings and never got that working for me. I am still trying to figure out the evic out lol There is a pattern here I need nice and easy mods :( So I stuck with the twists. For making coils not sure I can do that I would need a resistances tester and all the other stuff. My hands do not work well so I really don't think I am up to that. Worried about spending more money that will be wasted on me.
Any one that wants that stuff I have said above will send it to you for the cost of shipping as either that or in garbage.
I find it very hard to keep up with all the new stuff.........things were way simple 6 years ago lol
Personally I HATE MECH MODS.

1. They don't have the safety features of regulated mods
2. When you hit the fire button it delivers as much power as the battery has. I hate hot Vapes and despise my wicks burning because the mech is delivering too much power
3. The battery power falls off rather quickly.
4. Faux hybrid mech's where the 510 sits on top of the battery.
5. If the 510 PIN of the Atty doesnt protrude enough you have a hard short.

I just say NO to mech mods.

That's nice of you to offer that gear up as there is likely someone that would really appreciate it!

Have you thought about a Provari 2.5? At $29 on sale new from ProVape, they are as durable a mod you can buy and incredibly simple to use. I have a bunch and love them. Not for subohming, but great for those 1.5-2.0ohm coils.
Provaris work as low as 1.2 ohms

It has been great to have so many choices as we are all different. I sold my Releaux 200 at a loss cause I hated it. I don't need anything over 30 watts, I find the flavor disappears at high watts and it also makes me cough. There are those of us that don't like sub ohm and like the safety and durability of the Vari and that is why you see so many of us recommending them for mtl vapers.
Sure does.

A also find Ultra low sub Ohm vaping ruins flavor too. At .4-.6 it tastes like the Juice is being burned instead of being vaporized.

Okay downloaded the manual thank you for suggesting that. Didn't think of doing that before. I will go through it tomorrow and see if can get it to work on my tank again. Thanks for the offer ......maybe it is just defective and I never knew lol Will try again and if can't do it .... just going to toss it to junk pile
Is it the eVic or The eVic VTC Mini?

The early versions of the eVic had issues. Try updating the firmware.

Okay didn't think about the batteries and just been trying to sort out what is what with them.
What I have:
this one just took out of the evic :
Efest 2000 mAh IMR18650 3.7V Li-MN High Drain rechargeable
I also have but not sure if good for it and not sure what they are for ratings are:
Ultra Fire LC 18650 4200 mAh 3.7 Li-ion Blue
Samsung ICR18650-26F Samsung SDI 2E14 Pink
No name ICR 18650 2200mAh 3.7- LD29

Well I am almost 60 never been good at math or science so this kinda frustrates me at times. I have had a run of bad luck with getting anything but twists. Hated the Zmax ? (that was my second attempt the first was getting GS VV Mod tried it once stuffed in box still have that to get rid of. The Zmax and didn't like it either as button kept going up when didn't want it to. Then I got a mechanical simple nothing to it but no kick and really wasn't working for me ......got a external kick uses the 510 but that didn't work at all (still have that) lol My luck has not been good for getting these I thought the eVic would do the work for me lol
Okay will any cable work with the eVic?
Efest batteries are terrible.

Try Samsung 25r, LG HG2, or Sony VTC.

I am partial to the LG and Samsung.

It is the first eVic that came out before the supreme and I didn't get a cable for it so not been able to get it going on the computer for updates or just trying to figure it out. I just bought the eVic head then later got the tube etc. Don't have a lot of money here and that was supposed to be the ultimate lol
What it has ended up being is one major pain in the .... .......which is kinda why I have issues in trying again anything that is not twist.

About sub ohm vaping I did just get ordered a tank for that ...felt like everyone was moving in that direction. Everyone that I have got them on e cigs to quit smoking have moved to sub ohm except me. I have not tried vaping sub ohms and pretty happy with the twists and my Nautilus tank

Okay thank you I have made a note to myself for that ....next find a place that is selling that doesn't kill me in shipping costs.

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
Jumping in here.
I have been making my own e liquid for over 5 years now so that is not an issue BUT I have never put it in glass for freezing as been said here.
Currently I have what would be 12 L at my preferred nic level ( 1 L of 200 mg, 1 L of 100 mg and 1 L of 48 mg) in the freezer in original plastic containers they came in.
So my question is what kind of glass stands up to the freezer? I have glass for all my mixing ..... current flavor mixes.
As for stocking other hardware I have to do it carefully as I do not have a income that has any wiggle room. That is why I have been mixing my own for years.
You are all making me worried about hardware ..... tanks, coils batteries (various types) I don't have :( I have two MVP box mod, a couple of clover Overlord 11 twists and the rest are ego twists... that all that I have been able to afford. My tanks are Nautilus mini tanks, Aerotank mini and Smok MIcro Core ADC 11 dual coil clearomizers. I clean those coils until they no longer work to stretch out the costs of them. I have some 510s for testing my mixes that is about it. Well other than the hundreds of the old mega cartomizers that I have never thrown out. So stocking up not easy if have to hold out more than a year to find something affordable.
But if need glass for storing base mix in freezer I will do that just please let me know what glass will stand up to the freezer temp.
Reading this thread has been an education.........wish I could be there with you :)
Oh by the way fasttech is no longer sending out batteries. Edit for this info added.
i stored a lot of nic in the freezer in glass. at walmart they have the 'freezer safe' canning jars....i think i paid $7-8 for 12,, then i bought the white BPA-free lids (looks like simple white plastic lids in packs of 8 for $2-3, the jars are clearly marked 'freezer safe' --basically they are wide mouth jars,, little to no shoulder on the shape of the jar,, the sides go straight up to the threading area. i also have nic stored in boston rounds,, but that was going to take up way too much freezer space in my case.

I totally get what your saying :) and I plan on getting more as I run low but it's good to hear that some have had it last longer than 22 mos. I have all my diy supplies but have yet to actually make any. So I'm not sure yet exactly how fast I will go through the vg/pg.

I feel pretty confident that we will always be able to purchase it but there is a small part of me that wonders if the government could make it impossible for people like us.

of course, everyone likes something different. as i said i am keeping the provari in my emergency survival gear collection. i also have some un-used 1860 AW batteries, the old RED ones laying around.

as we are on the topic of provari what is the best tank you can run on one. can take one of my sub ohm tanks and just use thicker wire with more wraps in order to achieve higher resistance?

Hopefully fozzy or one of the other sub ohmers will see this and give you ideas. I can't help since I am a tootle puffer. :)

Version 2 and 2.5, you are limited to 3.5 amps and 14.5 watts. I like the Subtank Nano among newer tanks for this mod as the smaller diameter works with the bevel top, but you can add a ring to make a smooth fit with a 22mm tank. I'd bet the Kayfun is the most popular tank on the ProVari, but most tanks with the ability to dial down the airflow and juice flow to match a higher ohm coil should be workable. Using a regular drip tip instead of a big bore one helps tighten up the draw too. More wraps of your existing wire or using a higher gage thinner wire should get you over 1 ohm. It will be pretty much a MTL setup though, so you may not use it for much more than emergencies. Still good to have those backups!

You can play with the coil calculator to figure out what gauge, ID and number of wraps you need to get to a certain ohm - Coil wrapping

For those that sub-ohm, but are tight on money. As you are able to stay off of cigs (this is the most important thing) - start backing off of the sub-ohm - slowly convert to being a tootle puffer. You will save money on batts, nic, flavors, PG/VG, coils, etc.

At least for me - my main goal is not to go back to cigs - so I am prepping myself to do that within my budget and even lower if I am able to, but maintaining the ability to never go back to cigs.

Just say use what you know how to use.

That sounds like someone that doesn't know how to use a mechanical. That's OK though, no one is saying that everyone must learn how to use them. There are plenty of other choices.

However, I for one have been using mechanical mods for 6 years, and will continue to do so.
