It's because PayPal won't allow PayPal to be used for atomizers specifically.. so the only other option as fast tech doesn't apparently want to deal with a million credit card companies, is to start dealing in bitcoins.
It's not all atomizers. It's just specific products. That I know of so far, anything authentic from Aspire and any version of the Erlkonigen.

ETA: All you have to do is order something for the right amount of money, then cancel it immediately choosing gift certificate for your refund. That way you can spend the gift certificate for whatever FT can't use PayPal for. That's the way I do it.

That's what I hear too, but I had no issues or restrictions ordering it, so I guess we're good for now

I'm looking for specifically where I saw that, but I'm not finding it at all.. and from what I can determine, according to usps it seems that 100 mg is still falling under the okay to ship..

I wish I could find that, because I was absolutely certain that there were new rules under hazardous materials for usps and nic.. and I usually don't become certain without researching.. but I'm just not finding it now..

So maybe I am wrong.. wouldn't be the first time, won't be the last.. hahaha

It was authentic Aspire that I was trying to buy and they wouldn't let me make the purchase with PayPal.. this was last week, I added it in with other things and they rejected my atomizers..

Good trick on the gift certificate.. I'll have to try that.. :)

I assume that way too, purchases stay underneath various governments radar..

I don't do bit coins either.. so I'm trying to make the various fasttech purchases that deal with atomizers on eBay.. so far I have made 3 purchases, each one has been pulled from eBay within a day or two of my purchase, but once paid the seller's are mailing them out.. I guess I'll do that as long as I can..
You know you can get around the bitcoin at FT to purchase those atty's. Just make a purchase close or over the amount you would pay for the wanted atty's, then cancel that order and instead of refunding paypal, get a gift certificate. FT will allow you to purchase those atty's with a gift certificate. As
soon as your bogus purchase is complete from paypal just cancel it. I would not wait too long.

:)

I got an Eleaf GS-Air 2 tank off FT and paid with PP, just 2 weeks ago. Payment processed with no problem.

I was told just tonight by the neighbor who works at a local vape shop... that it's Aspire products that PP won't process from FT, because Aspire doesn't even want their products sold on FT. Aspire has apparently contacted PP, to not process payments for anything Aspire...coming from FT. It's got something to do with Aspire evidently receiving lots of complaints about "their" products people have bought on FT. However, nearly all of them have turned out to be knock-offs and not authentic Aspire at all.

So no new stuff out there I am assuming. Or are there new items we just can't get them? Not that I am looking, just curious.

my local vape shop still advertises all sorts of stuff as in stock that was released well after last Aug.

My understanding was that FT was not an authorized dealer, and Aspire was getting grief from their authorized dealers about being undercut on price. FT then went after PP who I guess decided it's not worth the headache and skipped processing. FT then had no other option but to sell Aspire stuff through their gift certificates. To my knowledge FT has always been very responsible and reliable for accurately describing their products as authentic or "styled". I do believe they have Nauti "style" BVC coils they sell, but they are marked that way to avoid confusion.

I guess Aspire was large enough to take FT on over it.

I wondered about the "styled" terminology. i expected more clone branding so I could tell EHPro and Tobecco from whatever else. It must be a way around naming clones vs brand names. SXK also said STYLED. Some others mentioned no brand, just styled.

ETA: Just checked my order status and it says, "Ready to Ship". I guess that means it's waiting on pickup from USPS.

One of my brothers uses an N mini. He says the knockoff coils from FT vape the same as authentic. He bought authentics for several years before switching a few months ago.

They could be overruns right from the Aspire warehouse. They label and sell them as knockoffs so lots of people don't dump the expensive authentics for the same "knockoffs".

It should be possible to figure that out by examining both for tiny differences in fabrication.

One of my mysteries-of-vaping is why are coil heads so expensive compared to atomizers and mods? I manufactured once upon a time. The more of something you make the better you get at it. The assembly of Aspire style bvc coil heads must be a very refined process by now. Cost of the raw materials bought in such large quantities must be low. All that's left is labor time. The right specialized fixtures and tooling should make that time minimal. So what are those special tools and fixtures. Can we come up with some home made versions to make rebuilding these coil heads easier and faster? Probably, in fact, certainly.

They're so expensive because they're based on the razor blade model. The razor (tank) is cheap. The blades (coils) are where the real money is.
