Somewhere out there
IME, when it comes to regulation, blurry is way more common that simple and straightforward.
Sadly true. Regulations lead to rules and laws and SOP's (standard operating procedure) for gov agencies. We just don't have an SOP for 8-8 and after yet on ecigs.

Actually, I bought one of the original Kayfuns when first available, think it was 150.00. I didn't like it and sold it.

That said, I did buy a clone yesterday but won't have any spare parts unless I decide to risk another order.

Most stateside vendors sell spare parts kits for popular atomizers, especially the Kayfun series. Kidney Puncher is a good place to start.

Here's a thought. Anyone who is worried about importation of ecigs directly after 8/8, why don't you ask these US online vendors who are complying with regulations to stay open. Being that they get their livelihood from China and are already putting in age verification, alternative payment options(bitcoin), and the like to ensure that they stay open. One would think they would have information that we don't and aren't just going by "someone said".

There might be a shop willing to let you use them as a way-point in the delivery of imported goods too. They have the license. Just ask them if for 5% surcharge for handling the packages if they will help.

I know but not sure who will still be in business later on. I didn't want to order a bunch more stuff right now but perhaps I should get a few spare parts for the thing.

What coils do you use? i dont use mine because i dont like lung hits myself?
There is airflow on the STM. Close it down to a pinhole, or use the 1.5 ohm coils.

Most STM fans wrap their own coils a d build on the RBA.

I either use the stock coils 1.2 or 1.5 or make my own with 26 or 28 gauge wire. I also have a bunch of 1.2 ohm coils pre wrapped that I'll use.

You can find Kayfun clones these days for $9.95 each. The 3.1 and lite plus V2 are two of the top choices. The Kayfun 5 is out and I'll get one of those once they start to appear in the U.S. as clones. The K5 is an evolution of the K4 with what looks like fewer parts and more sophisticated design.

Once you try Kayfun you will find out just how easy it is to use and maintain. It's solid and heavy, but a snap to take apart and recoil. It's a low airflow design that resembles the draw on a cigarette. That's probably why it's so popular.

So many RBA's are free flow airflow these days for high watt vapers. I'm more of a MTL vaper, so Kayfun is just right.

I just bought two Kayfun v5. Machining is very high quality. The airflow ring is kind of sticky...or I just need to learn where to go with the ring to get it to click in to place. The airflow when set on wide open is pretty tight but I think it will be OK for direct lung hits.

I'm waiting for clones to appear as well.

My planning time frame is 10 years. For that my bare minimum is 3 liters of 100 mg nic, 5 SV rda clones, and 5 Picos. Cost for those is about $315. But if anything goes wrong I won't make it to 10 years so I'll have redundancy. That will consist of a 1 liter bottle of RTS Vapes 200+ mg nic, 5 more SV rdas, and 5 VTC minis. Cost for those additional items is about $330. If all of that works perfectly I'm good for 15 to 20 years, about what it used to cost me for 2 1/2 months of smoking. I have several years supply of most everything else but I'm not counting it as part of the stockpile because I'm sure I'll be able to find those things somewhere.

Whatever are my favorites are the only things I use. After this I'd rather not discover anything I like better because maybe that means I have to buy 5 more of those. Maybe my vape will become like the old cars Cuba is famous for.

You sound like me. I keep reading about all these different toppers but since I am happy with what I have and have enough to last for a very very long time I don't want to find something that I might like better :D

They are great tanks and so easy to build on using the RBA. I have the STM, but prefer the Toptank mini which is pretty much the same except it's topfill. I use it as a MTL tank with no problems. :)
Do you know if the o rings (that I ordered a ton of spares from FT) for the subtank mini fit the toptank mini? I was planning to get a few more STM and some spare RBA but top fill has me considering the TTM if I can use the same spare rings I bought on either.

Just talked myself out of buying a 4 gallon cube of PG/VG. I already have a gallon of each, and at the rate I vape, it will take me a couple of years to go through those! I think both will still be available a couple years from now. PG is used to feed animals, I don't think they can put an additive in it that makes it taste nasty. VG is used in candy making and baking, so same thing.

For anyone who does need some, Essential Depot is going to up their prices as of this coming Sunday, so get while the getting is good!

The Chinese government subsidizes these transactions, which is how companies like Fasttech can afford free shipping on even very small orders.....{SNIPPED}.....
And here I am sitting here with a defective tank & was told via email from the company I got it from that due to high cost to ship from China, I need to just go ahead & purchase a new one TO SAVE THEM MONEY! :-x

    From Essential Depot's e-mail:
"The upcoming Feb 2017 Federal E-Cig Regulations have caused a spike in sales to the 5000+ Vape Shops we supply. The associated demand spike across the industry has caused VG and PG prices to go up significantly. Our manufacturer and supplier is giving us one more week to purchase at our current price. Please help keep your price as low as possible by ordering at the current price before August 1st."
