Wow, fozzy, that is a lot of stuff. Enjoy

I would like to add that my cc companies were wonderful during my theft nightmare. Happened on New Years Day and the CS rep spent hours on the phone with me and was so helpful. They never gave me grief and I didn't lose any money. My bank was good also. The only twerps were the low end stores like Walmart and Target. Bottom line is I trust using a cc more than getting other cards as I have had problems with gift cards stolen and I was just ____outta luck for that amount of money. We all have to do whatever works in this age of crooks. Did I mention I hate thieves? If they worked half as hard at a job, they would be millionaires.

I didn't know this. I shop at Safeway and always have to enter a pin number. I select "credit/debit" on the machine prior to swiping. Next time I'll look for a debit only option.
If you run it as a debit you have to use a pin. If you use it as a credit card you don't use a pin. That said, I never swipe my debit except at an atm.

First issue of trip: Already had one haha. No eliquids allowed in checked luggage. All has to be carry on. Agent had to make sure it was allowed first too. TSA didn't even flinch when it or the ecig went through on the scanner.

My ditch worthy mods for just in case: istick 20w, kanger topbox mini, protank 2, and a couple disposable CE4.
I think this was a recent change, I read about it a couple months ago. Have a good trip.

Yep, I thought so until the phone calls rolled in. I got into an argument with Safeway, Walmart, Target and Kmart over this. I kept telling them I had never used my debit card, didn't even think I had a pin number so how could someone use it? They didn't want to tell me about it but the very nice police officer explained it when he came out to take the report.

thanks, unfortunately I just went downstairs and squirrels already took it all.
I guess we should have expected all this vaporizing stuff to vaporize. Oh well... guess it's closed systems from BT for me starting Monday.;)

How do you get yours so early! My mail doesn't run here until 2pm.. and sometimes later! It must be nice to be on an early route!

I got one package yesterday, one coming today, and my last should be here Friday. Then I'll be done!

Not likely painting their house. What they do is either own a scam co or a friend does. They can then 'launder' the money through the business and get the cash. It is a twist on the old: steal cc/id, buy a bunch of high end stuff and return it immediately for cash.

I went through an identity theft thing a few years ago. Not being criminally minded, I couldn't believe the stuff they did. They were already returning high end items while I was making a police report. Fortunately, the store was suspicious and called me. Other stores like Walmart were not so careful and tried to make me pay for the bad checks/cc fraud. For the checks, they didn't use the stolen ones, they printed a fake name, used my address and phone number on checks for a local bank I have never used with a bogus account number. When checks bounced, the merchants called me. Went on for 3 years and was a nightmare. For anyone else who doesn't know it, they don't need pin numbers for debit cards, I always thought you needed that and have one but never used it. Apparently, you just swipe the card at many places and get cash, buy gas, whatever (Safeway was one).

Thanks for the heads up, I checked my accounts and will be keeping an eye out. The only good thing that came out of my id theft nightmare is my cc companies seem to have me on a high alert and they won't accept a lot of purchases until I call them and approve it. All of the international orders usually require my approval.

    That must have been horrible!

They have probably changed things then cause mine came out of the bank account instantly, not on a cc. Bank reimbursed me for it within 3 days or so. Either way, I don't like that they can do that without checking id or anything. They didn't try to paint a house, they bought baby items among other things. How low is that? They just wanted cash.

He is trying to beat the mid-day heat I think.

This is exactly why I don't use my debit card. You don't have nearly as much fraud protection as you do with a credit card.

I have never been affected by fraud, thank goodness, but the horror stories from people who have, are enough to make anyone wary.

I've heard about squirrels, raccoons, etc. (for me it's chickens- they like shiny things) Such a shame that we'll all be using Blu or something soon.

Once you use up all the funds you loaded on this card can you later reload it and use it again?
When I realized I was going to be ordering from online companies I knew nothing about, I went to my bank and set up a separate account with a debit card. Took about 15 minutes, and it protects the account I use for every other area in my life. I just put money in it as needed when I want to buy something. In effect, it works like the pre-paid credit card.

I don't think it's ever had more than $300 in it, and the accompanying savings account has the minimum $5. Money doesn't just sit in the account. For instance, if someone tried to raid the account right now, they'd get $23.78, and I made sure that I did not have overdrawal protection with the account.

I am never buying a closed end system from BT....never.
I do own a Green Smoke and a bunch of carts I got way back when. It was the first thing I tried years ago. Tasted weird and basically no vapor. Didn't last long on it.

This is a good option that I already have available. Thank you for the reminder!

I already have a 2nd checking account with a card attached that literally has $60 in it. I can easily transfer funds from my primary account to this measley account. I think this is a good option for me. No fee either. Thank you!
