Excuse me if I'm wrong but is there any noticeable difference between heating the wire pre or post coil?
I know the wire is ever so slightly easier to wrap but I can't even tell the difference. It's not that stiff. I just bend the wire, put the coil in an atty and then pulse the coil and scratch the coil with my screwdriver to get rid of any hotspots. Torches are handy anyway but I really wouldn't bother. You could get another spool and some cotton for the same price and just forget heating the wire pre coil.Imo.

I like LS mixed but don't like it straight, it is interesting how our taste buds differI tried it and didn't like it, also tried just LS and with lemon. Go figure. Loved the Lotta Latte, choc cake and especially the Blue Note though.
Yup. I cycle through all my stuff periodically.I'm changing my strategy. I've been testing my mod stash before putting back away in boxes for the long haul. Then I started thinking about it. I've decided to instead rotate 3 mods every month and use them all as I go. Use determines life more than age but in the back of my mind I also think that letting mods sit untouched for years has no benefit. Maybe it's similar to a car where it's better to drive your extra car once a week instead of letting it sit for month. Not a good analogy but the idea is the same.
I just sat down and did a perfect build/wick on 2 of my tanks. It was nice and relaxing. It improved my mood...and my vape. lol

As long as you remember to take out the batteries it's a good idea to stash one or two
mods for just in case, but your car analogy is a very good one, really.

I made the battery mistake once and pretty much trashed a vamo. Won't ever happen again. I probably could have cleaned the contacts but didn't bother and tossed it. Probably should have cleaned it...lol
I only keep two mods with batts at any given time. Good advice for sure.
A couple other pieces of my strategy is if any mod dies in the next 2 years I'm going to replace it with 2 more. I'm also going to use a pico and vtc daily to test longevity. If each mod can last 2+ years them I'm good for a long time...and I'm going to buy more regardless to keep my sanity as the days tick away...haha
IMO It's always good to start up and power off devices like you said, sometimes even brand new things in boxes can not work if you wait and let it sit forever, than things you use normally everyday, even cars. I remember when I was in the USAF stationed in Elemendorf AFB, AK 10 years ago, those winters are very brrrrrr. If you drove a car rarely, always run once or twice every month in the coldest months. It helped maintain your vehicle as well as keep the fluids flowing normally. When I left that middle of the winter, came back from Iraq, my car wouldn't start, I was gone, nobody drove it, mechanic said to run it more often. I suppose devices would be slightly different as there's no fluids in them but I know sometimes old batteries that haven't been use for a while may discharge a little fluid. I'm guessing it can't hurt to power on periodically; making sure your device/mods work properly, check for battery acid residue or black carbon marks around contacts too.
Good habit infact anytime I am not vaping I take off the tank and remove batts. Is it wrong that at night, I take my batteries out and my tank off of my provari? Been doing it since January.
Torching b4 installing not only makes it easier to roll and have the wire hold it's shape
it also helps a lot when you roll micro coils if you torch while you squeeze.
Sure you can do it after it's in the Atty but you risk shorting the contacts.

I'm fond of different people, new things in life, and people that I have nothing in common with actually. I'm more attracted to that than someone who's just like me, who likes everything I like.. BOORRAANGGG, lol.
Just unscrewing the tank a few turns without completely removing it works too. Just need to break the electrical contact.Good habit infact anytime I am not vaping I take off the tank and remove batts.
I had the same experience with 2 VAMOs, a 5 and a 10
I almost tossed them but put them in a drawer while I waited for FT to get the boards in stock. (which still hasn't happened) Then one day out of curiosity I put batteries in 'em
and they worked!
What happened is that juice leaked from the tanks
since I hadn't used them in a quite a while, this shorted the switches on
so the batteries got wasted. Since the juice was still shorting things
they wouldn't work even with fresh batteries until all the juice evaporated.
Yea, I've taken to buying two of everything. I have 4 eVic VTC minis now
'cause I bought 2 v1's which I updated to 75 watts
but when I saw the new v2's with the nifty clock on the display
(I understand you can put a color bmp pic in there also) I had to have 'em.
So I bought two more..LOL
