That Discover article needs to go to FDA on Nicotine the Wonder Drug. I also was surprised to learn in Anatomy and Physiology class that we humans have nictotine receptors in our brain. I thought what? All these years we have been sold a bill of goods that nicotine is bad but our brain actually needs nicotine! I was stunned.

Well once they have squashed this industry then BP can do there own studies and make Billions...

I posted awhile back that my order from FT still had not arrived even though it was processed through New York on 23rd July. Well it is still not here! After several phone calls my local post office just called me back to inform me processed through does not mean it has cleared at all and it is still in customs. They also have another customer who has complained about the same thing, there's was 22nd July. He said they are backed up, it is only a few drip tips as well.

I just thought i would let you know in case any one else is still waiting.
Shipping in general has been wonky from FT lately. I received an order in Canada on Monday that left China in July 27 and I have a few orders that shipped on July 24-27 that I still haven't received. My lead times have been under 2 weeks to almost 6. So random....

Still waiting on my mini-USB rubber plugs that I ordered so still not totally stocked.

And since someone posted a video by a muckraker stirring .... for attention here's today's video from some actual advocates that actively advocate for vaping rights.

Good to know, I was thinking about a private FB group to for LVC "lone vapers" but anyone could join to help out the lone vapers :)
A new group started recently called Grassroots101 to help answer questions etc.
I have a t-shirt coming from them that I'll wear when visiting vape shops.
It says I Vape I Vote I Help on the front and Ask me if you need help across the back

Busy people here again today, took me a while to catch up on all the post :D

So far I've avoided the vaping facebook groups cause I don't need the drama so many of them have. Honestly, I avoided this thread the other day because I didn't care for the direction it took, but fortunately it got back on track :):) :) This has become my favorite thread :)

Honestly it scares me to death that my husband might die before me, but, I can't live his life for him. He has to make his own choices, for himself.

Mine doesn't want them vape, he thinks it's wrong somehow, to plug in and recharge your smokes, instead of lighting up and burning. he is old fashioned and doesn't take well to change, and this is one change he won't even try. He also laughs at me for vaping "cake" as he says instead of cigarette flavor. I offered to get him some tobacco flavors to try and see if he likes the taste, but he says no. He wants to smoke.

Nothing I can do about that, and since we both were smokers, I don't think I can ask him to change because I did.

But I understand that fear, it worries me all the time.. I do not want to outlive him.. I have already outlived one child, and an adopted child as well.. (one to cancer, one to Afghanistan) I don't think I could deal without him.

I'm so sorry for your losses too.
And sometimes for some people who go through the awful thing you two went through any change or anything new is not welcome. My son's death made me fearful of change too. But here is how strong that smoking habit is: I had been cig-free for 15 years when he died but I started up again and didnt quit until 1.5 years ago when I discovered e-cigs. And I only gave them a chance because I didnt want to die young and leave my hubby alone. I wish I had known about them back then.

Edit: i'm sorry about posting this here. It has nothing to do with stocking up but I knew how Opinionated felt. Perhaps the mod should remove it. I would but we cant do that.

Here's a thread that was started on them: Pod Mods: Which One Are You Liking the Most?

There are a few of them out now. Some think that these may be what might make it through this deeming.
Dumb question but why would these make it through? If they are refillable technically they are the same as any open ended systems and even if they are not refillable they still contain the stuff the FDA objects too. What am I missing?

The non-refillable POD systems are the one's that people think might make it through. Not a dumb question, it's a dumb answer. It has nothing to do with safety, health, or product quality. The reason people think they will make it through is because they're being made by big tobacco as well as others, and they would be easily quantifiable for tax purposes.

I just realized that as of today I've avoided smoking at least 87,000 cigarettes  That's a lot of butts ;) :D

Hmmm, wonder how many bottles of juice I've vaped ? I'm estimating 11,000 mls. Which translates to 367- 30ml bottles. :) Much of that nic free, although I still enjoy some nic sometimes and always plan to

Do you remember EddardinWinter? That guy with the lion avatar? He was pretty vocal in the CASAA debate threads back in the day. He went back to smoking. His new passion is motorcycles. LOL I still touch base with him off and on through facebook.
My jaw just dropped. Out of everyone I've encountered here he'd be the last I'd expect to ever go back to smoking. Normally it takes something severe to have happened to pick that cigarette back up. I hope he is ok.

What made me go  is when I got out the calculator and multiplied 30X365=10,950X45 and came up with 492,750 cigarettes smoked during the 45 years I smoked :( I haven't smoked 51,900 since I switched to vaping

I smoked for 46 years. Toward the last 10 or so of those I was smoking anywhere from 2 to 4 PAD.

I'm not going to do the math 'cause I might cry.

Rebuilding a bathroom is pretty severe...
But I came back to vaping as soon as I finished and took my first bath in the new bathroom.
