I have bought a mechanical mod before but had no kick and didn't see the attraction to it so gave it away. I bought a stand alone kick that uses the 510 connection and tried added it to that but nothing happened that was why gave it away but still have that kick thing. I also got one of those battery testers (round one with the 510 connection and still have that unused) I bought a Zmax long time ago and didn't like it (gave it away) ...bought G5 VV mod and hated it with a passion still have it unused. Then I bought a Evic with all its fancy settings and never got that working for me. I am still trying to figure out the evic out lol There is a pattern here I need nice and easy mods :( So I stuck with the twists. For making coils not sure I can do that I would need a resistances tester and all the other stuff. My hands do not work well so I really don't think I am up to that. Worried about spending more money that will be wasted on me.

I find it very hard to keep up with all the new stuff.........things were way simple 6 years ago lol

Have you thought about a Provari 2.5? At $29 on sale new from ProVape, they are as durable a mod you can buy and incredibly simple to use. I have a bunch and love them. Not for subohming, but great for those 1.5-2.0ohm coils.

What about getting a Pico? They are inexpensive and many of us really like those.
I just checked with fasttech on that and good has no battery included so I will see if can afford that soon. Anything with a battery in it fasttech is not sending anymore. I do have some batteries I bought for the evic :) Price on fasttech is just over $37 but no shipping costs so that works out. Thanks

That's nice of you to offer that gear up as there is likely someone that would really appreciate it!

There prices sure have gone down since the last time looked there. For the mini I would have to buy more batteries and after shipping that is just too much for me to handle right now. I am in Canada and the few times I went to BM store the prices are just too high and shipping is expensive in Canada or to get something from the US. Main reason why I use fasttech so much.
I will have to think on getting the mini but thanks :)

I use FT at lot. Somethings you can get some good deals up here. If there is anything in particular you are looking for just shout. There are a few Canucks on this thread.

we actually have a used but good provari in our collection. i think it might be 2.5. it is several years old. its a good durable mod, but once i got into sub-ohming it really doesnt produce enough vapor. i cannot imagine if innovation would have stopped with those devices. shameful to think if what we have today, is all we will ever have. imagine what another 3 or 4 years would bring. of course FDA does not want that to happen. cigarettes are already way obsolete killers. left completely unchecked, there wont be anyone hardly left smoking anymore. of course what a terrible thing.

i also have several protank 2 units un-opened and sealed that worked well with the provari at the time. i see the older provari 2.5 being recommended so much here but i think that its just too far behind the times. the only think that i think i would like that they produce would be the radius, but that too has its limitations. at least its less limited then the other products.

i will stick with my relux units

Okay thanks for the link and you were right the other was a kit. Put that on my wish list will try for it soon. Please tell me easier to figure out than the eVic (the one before supreme or all the other newer ones) as that just defeated me. Not once have I gotten that to work to have a vape. Really worried I will not be able to figure out the new mods.

It has been great to have so many choices as we are all different. I sold my Releaux 200 at a loss cause I hated it. I don't need anything over 30 watts, I find the flavor disappears at high watts and it also makes me cough. There are those of us that don't like sub ohm and like the safety and durability of the Vari and that is why you see so many of us recommending them for mtl vapers.

Very true. I am in Toronto and most of my Provaris were shipped to US hotels while I was on business or vacation. Shipping to Canada is more than the 2.5.

Thank you on that. Would you happen to know where I can get the 1 L or 500 ml glass bottles for base mix in my freezer?
Last few days been trying to find some more Smok Micro Core coils for the Smok Micro Core ADC11 Dual Coil Clearomizer? Every where I look not available. Item is discontinued but I really like them and have a number of tanks. I bet will will see more products discontinued very quickly so those they don't have to do the FDA crap on them. I hope my Nautilus tanks will be fine for at least another year. I am trying to get tanks all set up for lasting me a week without refilling and enough batteries or like my MVP as I have to have surgery in the next couple of months and will be in the hospital for up to a week. They have to fix a vein in my head. I really would like to get some more of those Smok Micro Core coils as the tanks are just so easy to work with.

i cant argue the durability. what do you find wrong with the rx200. we have had ours for a while and its a trooper. we do have that provari in our collection, but i probably wont buy any more. now if they could have kept everything else the same and just updated with better sub ohming ability i think it would be a winner. i also have somewhere around the house my original early provari and best to my knowledge it still works.i know we paid allot more for the provari then they sell for now.

my reason for sub ohming and cloud chucking..... i went down in nic several times and i have found that if i go up in wattage, down in ohms, i can go down in nic and still be satisfied. when i was using a provari i was at 24MG now i am down to 8MG

but you most likely use 3x the juice so in effect, the same nic level, at least that's my experience

I don't like sub ohming, hurts my throat and chest and flavor loss as I said before. For those reasons, no need for that heavy Releaux. It was nice that batteries lasted forever but I rarely leave the house so that is not a biggie for me. Personally, I don't think multiple batts in a mod and high wattage is as safe but that is just my perspective.

Your Vari wouldn't happen to be metallic bronze in color by any chance, is it? lol I am hunting for that one.

That is a good point, I forgot about that. I only do 3mg or less of nic now and could do without it so the device is not dependent on nic levels for me.

Whether it's mechs or regulated, 6 or 200 watts, should you find your sweet spot, that's what you need to stock up.

Up until the FDA published the regs, someone using a ProVari 2.5 with a Protank was often told here that their setup was obsolete and inadequate. I suspect many lower wattage vapers didn't participate in ECF much as there was little interest in or discussion of their preference.

The game has changed from new shiny to survival for many here and which way you like to vape has become less important than making sure you can continue to vape in the future. The original ProVari design's proven durability, smooth power delivery and price has made it very attractive under these circumstances for many lower wattage vapers.

I feel lucky that I found my sweet spot at lower wattages a few years ago and go through about 9ml of 8mg liquid a day - with a top coil tank on a ProVari 1, 2 or 2.5. I get a full day out of one 18650 and it occasionally is used to pound a nail sticking out of my fence. It's the best tool for me.

    Different strokes for different folks!

Wow, would you look at that...I have saved almost 16k by not smoking so all my collecting isn't bad in comparison. Not to mention healthier and better smelling.

no doubt that vaping is cheaper then smoking, especially since i DIY and now build my own coils. but that number depends upon a number of factors. im guessing that number represents what you would have saved if you went cold turkey and did nothing in its place. factors like how much do you spend on hardware, do you DIY liquid and coils, ect. also how much were you spending on cigarette? way back when i used to smoke i was buying tobacco online, buying tubes, and DIY my own cigarettes. the tobacco was sold as "pipe tobacco" to avoid taxes. i was smoking for cheap. how you got your cigaretts is a huge factor with the cost part. if you were buying legal NYS tax stamp garbage, sure you were paying more for 2 packs then i spend on an entire pound that would make two cartons.
