Me too, but I came a little late to the table on these KFL's. I could go a long time with what I've got, but I'll pick up some more just in case I live 10-15 years more than I think I will

since you've quit smoking, this is a real possibility. LOL

Is there any way you can get someone else to build for you once you can't do it yourself anymore? Maybe a relative or friend? Or a vaper you can trade with or pay to do it?oplholic:
I prepped for 5-7 years because i am going on 62 years old. My left hand is messed up by Duprodens contracture, abd my eyesight is going to HELL in a hand basket. I may not be able to build much longer than that.
No. I live alone in an RV, and tge farther i am away from my family the bettee i like it. 2000 miles away and wish it was farther (red necks to extreme)Is there any way you can get someone else to build for you once you can't do it yourself anymore? Yeah, family. You can't put them in a gunny sack and bury them, what can you do?No. I live alone in an RV, and tge farther i am away from my family the bettee i like it. 2000 miles away and wish it was farther (red necks to extreme)
My brother was very abusive to his wife a d children. She killed him after she snapped. I told tge truth what i actually saw going on. My father never spoke to me after that. Till he died in 1995. My brother Jim hasnt spoken to me for the last 26 years. He did send me a letter asking i give up my part of my fathers estate. I signed it because i didn't give a ____. If i am to be punished for doing tge right thing my family can go straight to HELL!
IF i was in the same situation i would do the same thing.
@oplholik
I looked at several factors.
My age
My health,
My poor eyesight
Mt messed up left hand
And came up with a realistic prepping model. I keep saying this is prepping not hoarding.
The person that dies with tge most toys is dead.
You choose your Friends you choose your enemies but you are stuck with your family whether you lime them or not.Yeah, family. You can't put them in a gunny sack and bury them, what can you do?
Is your trouble coiling or installing?

A little after i did tge right thing and testified on Marsha's behalf i started using my mottoIt's sad that sometimes when a person does the right thing, they are made to be the bad person in someones eyes.
excellent idea!Assuming that vaping open systems goes underground and you may become unable to build and install coils, it might be a good idea to visit a couple local craft/jewelry shows. There are likely many crafters who make jewelry with beads that would be able to help out. Some of them may be like minded preppers as well, so future barters could be established. Cultivating those relationships early could be very useful!
excellent idea!
as for iffy family members,, I am of the belief all family is like a tree,, sometimes those branches need pruning. and yes I 'prune' as needed.
I've got some catching up to do.Been the black sheep of the family for 26 years and couldn't care less.
my husbands family should all be pruned,,,,,,,years ago his mom moved in with us (she never liked me and let me and the family know it).....(btw,,i am the one who stayed with her holding her hand upon her death while the family fight went on in the hospital hallway).........anyway,, we would go to work and apparently she invited all the family to stay with her while we were at work. (school age kids too)....we couldnt figure out why we kept running out of food...........anyway,,, since i knew the 'family' might come over occasionally when we were out i hid all of my small collection of jewelry and no value class ring in a tiny container up under a bathroom sink.........yes, they found it and took it. to this day they cant believe i am ...... off about it. it took them years to admit it,,, and still they think i have a problem. my husband and i were poor when we got married,,, those tiny rings, earrings and my class ring meant something to me.When my father's parents were young they didn't have much money. He was a miner. They had to show up at the mine every morning, they waved in as many as they needed that day. One day my grandfather cleaned out their entire meagre savings on an impulse and bought my gran a set of hand blown glass paperweights. The glass company closed down and those paperweights turned out to be really rare and desirable. They were the only valuable thing she ever owned. They were promised to my father and then to me. While gran was still alive my father's sister and her husband showed up at her house one day and stole them. I never spoke to that side of the family again.
To me family are like anyone else. You choose whether to associate with them.
I like the .03 coils that ec makes for the pico. They do not overheat. The .05 they can keep. If he got a kit, have him switch the coil to the .03ohmI met an old friend last week and he was vaping. Just started. He had gone to the vape shop to pick the gear up. Apparently he knew the owners.
He came out with 2 setups. One was something called a Volcano. A Spinner-like battery with a CE5 style topper, using a proprietary thread. Pretty ancient gear. Maybe from the UK, I couldn't find out much about them. Uses a 1.8 ohm head. Not a bad vape.
The other was a Melo tank with a Pico. He said he never used it because it vaped so hot. I looked the Melo up and he probably had a 0.5 ohm coil. I didn't get a chance to check out the power settings it was set to because he had to take off.
He didn't know anything about the upcoming regs so I got him up to date. I'm going to get together with him again soon and check out his Melo, see if I can fix the heat problem. I also suggested he get some nic and look into stocking up. I don't think the Volcano heads can be rebuilt. Don't know about the Melo. I'll do some research. If anyone here is familiar with the Melo I would appreciate any info, or links to info. Haven't found much on ECF yet.
When I see him next I'll let him try my gear and see if he's interested in stockpiling and rebuilding. He's a metal worker and a lathe master, kind of guy who could probably build his own tanks if he wanted to.
It's a shame that someone could go into a store and come out with an ancient Volcano and a subohm tank and Pico that he had no idea how to operate. He did seem interested in learning more about it so he could get off the cigs.
