@leftyandsparky - I think ChelsB was asking about putting Saran Wrap over the top of an HDPE bottle, before putting the PP cap on it. (Since PP isn't recommended for temps. below 32F). She was wanting to know if that would be OK.

I will do as i see fit.Earthquakes are not a worry in any of my locations. You do as you wish, but for long-term storage, I trust glass far more than plastic. Plastic has been known to leech things. Nicotine itself may attack some plastics in the long run. Some plastics are fairly permeable to oxygen.
Hubby not being able to find that last ice cream sandwich would result in an earthquake! (I kid, he's really a great guy)It doesnt have to be an earthquake. It could be 82 year old Aunt Edna stumbling and falling against the freezer or little Johnny start throwing things around to get that last ice cream sandwich.
I use my husband electric tape to wrap the lids, I don't see the wrap hurting anything!@leftyandsparky - I think ChelsB was asking about putting Saran Wrap over the top of an HDPE bottle, before putting the PP cap on it. Do it!I use my husband electric tape to wrap the lids, I don't see the wrap hurting anything!
Wrap it!That's exactly what I was asking [emoji4]
I'm sorry! You've misunderstood me, @leftyandsparky. I wasn't commenting about your much earlier suggestion of using tape. ChelsB had responded to one of my quoted posts...about using Saran Wrap under the PP lid on an HDPE bottle. You had responded to her question to me and said your bottle had a polycone cap.
What if you put Saran Wrap over the top before closing?
That's exactly what I was asking
I think the Saran Wrap would helpI'm sorry!
I only use VG base because I don't use pg at all aside from what might be in my flavors. So pg based nic won't expand when frozen? That brings me to my next question. Since I am just starting on acquiring all of my nic, I've been buying pg based, is vg better?
I have.If your glass bottles are due to arrive on Tuesday...why not just do it all in glass bottles? I wouldn't keep 1L of nic in a plastic bottle for even a year, personally.
It wouldn't have it any other way.I will do as i see fit.
Correct, I do not. But even if I did, I wouldn't worry about it. My dedicated nic freezer is under a desk (I've posted pics multiple times). It has a lock on it, and the 120ml glass bottles are packaged in such a manner that I do not think breakage would be a problem. Some of them are wrapped in bubble wrap while others are packed 9 to a Plano box into which they fit quite snugly, preventing prevents any glass-on-glass "clinking".But you never have elderly relative or rambunctious kids or grand kids running through the house?
VG is LOUSY carrying flavors.
Don't drop it on its lid?@Two_Bears - It's not the HDPE bottle that would be a problem to freeze. They're rated for much lower temps. than any freezer, even a commercial one, is capable of reaching. It's their CAPS that are usually PP, and not recommended for use below 32F!
We're talking but not.communicating.
Glass gets brittle in the freezer. A few accidental clinks and your nic is destroyed.
The only way I would store nic in glass is bubble wrap it so it can't break.
As a test i took a bottle or Prickly Pear Juice in tge freezer for 18 months. I dropped it from four feet onto a hard Wood floor. The bottle bounced with 0 damage. I looked very close.
