I’m going to begin the task of separating my mods and atties plus accessories like coils into a stash for future use.
I was curious as to how people are deciding what goes in the stash and what doesn’t. I mean all my stabwoods I use plus several dual and single battery mods I use often. Others I hardly use at all.
So do I put the cheaper gear in the stash with a few nicer devices too? Same with atties. I use almost all my atties.
And should I open every mod to see if it works? I kinda hate doing that especially if I end up selling any of them.
Thoughts would be helpful.
The last year before the vaping “epidemic” issue brought me back to ECF and back again to stocking up, I had stopped using many mods at once like I had when I worked at a vape shop (until May 2018). Through til September 2019 I used four mods - my Geekvape mod lasted a year and died, so I pulled out the Therion DNA from the drawer and put it back into rotation with a couple other devices specifically for my MTL tanks. So, for me, I didn’t have that many being used at once as I had in the past.
So since stocking up again, the only mods I have bought for present-day use are the MVP3 (MTL), MVP5 (an indulgence), and the Topside 90w as I wanted to get back into the swing of squonking before eventually moving fully into mechanical squonks for DL (after my present-use mods die and, presumably, deeming pushes out easy access to new, regulated mods).
The vast majority of what I have bought since Sept 2019 has gone into the stash box. I haven’t checked them. I, too, am riding on the edge of the knife lol. But what I am not going to do is start bringing my stash into present-day rotation. I figure the first mods I will begin to work through will be the Lunas for squonking. When my Therion and MVPs finally die, I will move to the Squid DB for my Brunhilde or KF2019. Likely I will use a Jackaroo for Serpent Elevate or other RTAs.
I am not feeling 100% secure in regulated, high-wattage devices. Last night on the Shiny thread
@AvaOrchid (I believe) mentioned Asmodus had a Lustro for $25 with free ship so I bought one. It was impulse but a good deal, IMO. Realistically l have no idea how long to expect these devices to last. I feel that in the end it will boil down to my REOs and I can only hope I bought enough replacement parts to make them last.
