I was too then decided it would be smarter on my part to at least check that they turn on and fire before stashing away for the long haul. That way I’m not in for any surprises down the road and the device is still under warranty. Who knows which manufacturers or vendors will still be around when I end up using it.
Likewise. All new mods, for stash or not, go through at least one full battery cycle for testing. If stash, then reboxed with all parts. At least I know they worked when new, so can contact vendor or maker if not. tanks don't get that treatment, but they do get opened up and visually inspected (Since my RTAs run in only two flavors these days, anything I miss on those, well, I still have spare parts
Kinda like checking your car's spare tire air now and then, not much use if it's flat!
