The Berserker has such a tight draw I never use it, it detaches my dentures, LOL.

I used rayon at pretty close to 90VG to start, never had a bad taste. There is a break in process you gotta saturate the wick and burn it like you are dry burning a coil (I mean, not quite that much) but it should kill any rayon taste. I do it as I tuck in my tails these days but I am an old pro now.

Yep...this setup is all I’ve used and all I had for over five years. Which is why this new hoard of mine is overwhelming. I just about can’t keep up with what goes with what any more. I loved my simple setup. I have a backup coolfire in purple that I’m going to pull out very soon. I may buy another one as well.

There's a version of the coolfire 4 that does not have a built in battery. I have one but I don't remember when I bought it. It's the same form as yours but without the lanyard loop. There's also another version, later, ( I think) looks a little different. I saw them at direct vapor, not cheap, but if you love it, something to think about.

Lol, I've lurked this thread from day one, never posted.

Good to know I bought the right kind. I just need to figure out why I can taste it. It vapes great though. I think I’m in the minority and prefer cotton over rayon.

I'm also one who prefers cotton over rayon. I just get a much cleaner taste. And I don't find that the rayon taste goes away with use.

Fasttech has a ton of ohm testers for like 1/4 that price. I also had picked up 2 from I Central Vapors for $3.29.

But the Coilmaster is so nice to build on. It's a nice stable place to build on as well as check your resistance. And you can dry burn your coils on it, too.

Well you all have been busy. Not too much to add, vaping isn't really all that exciting when you use drop in coils only. Just a drive by hello!
The excitement's in the hunt - a great deal on drop-ins gets the heart aflutter!

I have a few of those puck things with the 510 in the center for that. Can't remember what they are called.

@Zutankhamun was asking about multimeters because he can't use a 510 meter since the atty in question doesn't have a 510 connection. ;)

It’s okay I had another which I took the 510 from

Adapters are cheap... ;) I have a ziploc baggie floating around somewhere with a ton in every size you could think of. Haven't used them in like 10 years, but you never know. lmao

I think there are a good many Nautilus Mini users here so I'll ask this here first.

Can you use the Nautilus AIO coils in the regular 1st generation Nautilus tanks (5ML or mini)?

They look exactly the same except the Nautilus AIO coils have much larger wicking holes over the regular Nautilus BVC coils.

Can I have some of your guru knowledge and help please?

I’ve had this atty for ages but I had the 510 version. I know my builds and I know what is safe but I have never been able to check this just the once to make sure it’s fine.
Can anybody explain to me the settings I should have selected and I guess red to pos and black to neg. I don’t need it very accurate just enough to test my own drippers and see if it works to any degree. If the reading is wrong but relative then I know this atty is fine

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

2nd question. If this dmm is as rubbish and broken as I think then any suggestions for a cheap alternative just for a quick check. Cheers

What atty is that, BTW?

GP heron. I think v 1.5 (mtl for me. I think v2 is the restricted dl)

I’m sure you have seen. It’s got that weird filler material in the tank which holds the juice.
They updated it so you can just fill it normally but I like the filler

I prefer rayon, I have some organic cotton tho for rebuilding drop in coils
My first wicking material was a bag of japanese organic cotton squares off Amazon, may be 200 squares, under $10, shipped from Japan. It lasted about 3.5 years. I'm working on a second bag.

p.s. i've aways used the plain steel version of these thrum cutters to cut the cotton, it's small, don't take up much space in my rebuilding box.

I’m of a very similar mindset. I have what I need. And some stuff to PIF. But I have also had a lot of fun finding new goodies, hunting down interesting things, and rounding out my collection.

I’m going to miss the hunt. There are a couple things that I will kick myself forever about if I don’t get one and I’m not going to wait and see. If I can find them, I’m grabbing them. I keep thinking I should try to get them on sale... but what if they’re gone and no sale happens? I got lucky with that Armageddon sale, and the Florida Vapor stuff. I was tempted by the SqEvo but I think I’ll pass. I do think I have to have another VA or two though.

It’s so sad though. End of an era.

Oh I really hadn’t thought about the aftermath of not being on the hunt. The thrill of finding and receiving gear you really want. Now I’m depressed. What a sad thought. What will us Shinys do?

This “shiny support group” really may end as a true support group for depressed Shinys. I know I’ll need a lot of emotional support after the rush & high of getting new gear.

This is terrible. I suppose we’ll still be able to find shiny items from places still shipping to the US.

I suppose our Shinys could be New To You items as well.

Such sad times ahead

Start collecting firearms, lots of shiny guns out there. Lots of fun at the range too.
