Another note is that internal battery mods/AIO have a finite shelf life. Think of them as being good for no more than a handful of years, with some loss of capacity after only a year (whether you use them or not). This is a fundamental chemistry thing - storing with a partial charge, and relatively cool, helps, but they do degenerate.

If you plan on vaping longer than a handful of years, consider getting mods with replaceable batteries. The odds are pretty good that 18650 batteries will be available for a fairly long time, and mods that can take a 21700 battery will have even longer battery availability (since they can use any of 21700/20700/18650, the latter with a small adapter).

I agree that lithium, cells internal and external, lose some capacity over time even if they aren't used. I do have one istick TC 40W that is probably 6 years old and has remarkable capacity for its age. It's not a daily use mod, but I grab it sometimes when I want a small, inconspicuous mod for out and about. It can go for well over half a day and still be at about half charge.

Finally going to get something new

I’m looking at the kfun lite 2019. I feel so old school. Why is everyone complaining about bottom fill? Possibly the best way ever. My fave attys are all bottom. The dvarw, the phenomenon you can top fill but that seems more an effort. I just unscrew the bottom ha.
I even enjoy saturating the filler on the heron (I’m weird)

I think I’ve got the vaping bug back
:rickroll:

I'm happy with the KF 2019, so much that I bought 3 more after trying it. You will need to buy the top fill kit for it and use the 4ml tank section that comes with it. It's a better flavor and vapor producer than the Kayfun Lite V2, IMO.

I just ordered a bunch of the Triton mini coils on clearance. Also hope I get them. Can’t remember if I like them but they fit my nautilus mini and couldn’t pass them up at that price. Even if just for vapocolypse backups.
I’m not holding my breath. I ordered 20 boxes, low cost experiment if they end up refunding due to no stock. I haven’t seen triton mini coils at many places for quite some time, which makes me a little doubtful. When they came out it was touted as, “get the triton experience in your favorite nautilus” kind of hype. Definitely a cheap stock up if it comes through!

You don't need an RTA "starter kit". I use various individual RTAs on my iStick 20W, 30W, 40W, etc. as well as on newer mods bought separately. You can use 1 on your Innokin Kroma mod, too.
I think he meant figuratively, not literally... as in not a "Starter Kit" in the sense of a complete mod/tank setup... but just an RTA for beginners.

0.2 ohms at 20W with 70% PG and no flooding.

I'm more shocked than I was minutes ago.

Maybe o-rings are the cause.

I mix 70pg unflavored and vape it in my Kayfuns on the .5 coils I wind, with no issues. 50/50 was creating some dry hit situations, so I went back to 70pg.

Fast Tech has a banner up on the home page saying shipping won’t resume til 2/17.

The Chinese New Year of 2020 falls on January 25th (Saturday), and the festival will last to February 8th, about 15 days in total. 2020 is a Year of the Rat according to Chinese zodiac. Supposedly, lots of workers go home then and come straggling back in late. That, and it probably takes a while to get product flowing off the assembly lines after the shutdown.

CNY is a very small part of it. China has bigger problems this year.

Corona virus outbreak. Chinese retailers aren't running at full capacity yet and I suspect many manufacturers aren't even back to work at all. Then you have the postal system to contend with. It's a big mess.

I don’t know anything about burner cc’s. Where do you buy them. I’ll give it a try. Thanks!!

MIght I suggest "You" check with your bank and get a card for her that is connected to your account . . . Or do what I did with a very good friend . . . We Opened a Bank account together in both our names with different addresses . . . She was primary account holder and lived up North - I was secondary and of course lived in Florida . . . The bank had branches in both states . . . Either one of "Us" could make deposits or withdrawals . . . AND - Use a Debit card that was linked to "Us" individually . . . Just a suggestion . . . ;)

Oh yes! Very overwhelming . I’ve vaped on a nautilus/istick for years. Still happy with the vape but refilling got old soI recently bought a Zenith/Kroma and I am loving it! Plus it looks much more updated. However with impending bans I’ve been looking into RTAs and I’m so so overwhelmed. They need to make an RTAfor dummies starter kit .
Adding some external battery mods would be a good idea. You can always (hopefully) get more batteries when they age out. Nothing wrong with isticks (except when the battery dies, they’re done). I still have two by my bedside I use every night when I’m reading.
I resisted building for a long long time, only to discover it’s way way easier than I expected. Apparently you can teach an old dog new tricks lol! I started out with the Innokin ares. Not the most flavorful tank, but it was really easy to learn on, and came with everything I needed to start. Whatever you pick, watching how to videos online can be really helpful. And, there’s plenty of help to be found here.

I've been doing a little price shopping for innokin kroma-r mods simply because I like the way they look but have been spoiled with all the sales going on so I don't really want to pay full price for one. Heck in a month or two they might be on clearance.
3fvape has them at $35 in their email this morning. I don’t see Innokin stuff on real deal sales too often. I’d love another coolfire mini kit, but I’m not willing to invest much in an internal battery mod. The prices just never came down significantly

Entirely possible though it doesn't bode well that it has acted up with 3 coils. I will grab a different pack of coils later today and give it another shot. At the very least it does call into question the consistency of the coils.

BTW to head this one off. I know it is not the tarot nano since the tank acts up on 3 mods from 3 manufacturers consistently. Was the first thing I tested.
Maybe it’s missing an internal oring? A deck picture minus coil from someone who has one might answer that. But not why it’s behaving wildly. That part sounds like the 510. Just put it up til you feel better. No sense in feeling cruddy and being aggravated all at once.

Building your own coils sounds so complicated. I was sure I’d never figure it but it turned out that it’s quite simple. I watched several YouTube videos on -Vape Coil Building and asked a ton of questions.

Basically, if you can wrap a thin wire around a pencil you’ve already done the “hard” work and can now make a coil! There are several tools that make it super easy.

Checkout the videos then ask lots of questions. You may want to get a vape toolkit. And you can always buy premade coils until you feel comfortable making your own coils.

I started making coils abt 2 months after starting to vape. And I’m not exactly young and have with tremors in my hands. So if I can do it anyone can!!

I got in some Dinner Lady Blackberry Crumble from EJS, it gave me a chance to try the SXK Haku Riviera RDTA clone.

Net, a big thumbs up on the RDTA, nicely built and easy to build.

I opened the side airflows (turn the gold screw on each side), installed a 3mm ID coil since the wicking holes are large, and cut the wick tails even with the top edge of the glass (when installed the wick will then just poke into the top of the tank section).

Normal tilting of the mod to vape is keeping the wick thoroughly saturated, great flavor, a moist, enjoyable, vape.

For squonk use I'd stuff a little bit of rayon into the eliquid fill hole, so that the tank could be laid on its side without leaking

Got my GT coils from Vaprzon today, only took 2 days from the day I ordered to get here, which is a record. They are in my home state, but the last time I ordered from them the package took a detour up North to Michigan and then bounced back and forth between Illinois and Michigan a few times before finally making it's way back down here again. lol

All of the other times I have ordered from them it took like the standard 3 days, basically the same length of time it takes to get stuff from California... or even Hawaii a couple times.

I got what's below recently and installed a couple of them. All are 3mm inside diameter so far which is nice and the resistance on the container seems to be correct. One of my atomizers needs longer legs than most current designs but there is enough. I still make coils but for a few cents each these are nice to have.

I like it alot, but I’m partial to any mod with a fire bar. Nice small form, and I like the grippy part on the back. Just enough to make it easy to hold, but not make it hard to slip in and out of your pocket.

    Veco update.

Grabbed a different box of coils. Installed one. It has been working properly for the last hour. So I am wondering if there aren't some bad coils out there. When the other tank arrives I will try sticking the coils that were not working in the Veco in it. Just to see if its something in the Veco making it picky about coils or simply bad coils.

Thanks for sharing! I put a couple boxes in my cart. Perfect to leave at my Moms. Those and a pack of lace wicks and I won’t need a whole build kit. Then keep the rest here for lazy/out of time days :)
