Still on a search for a non bottom fire, non hybrid 20700 or 21700 metal mech. I can find squonkers that fit the bill but most are plastic. I have several of those. Looking for one decent metal one squonk or not.

SQ217, Krönig box 21700, and Vicious Ant Spade (has resin doors which are fragile, but full aluminum frame) are the best suggestions I can think of for metal squonkers. For a cheap metal squonker, the Athena is very inexpensive and full metal with an external locking switch, but is only offered in 18650.

yeah I have a couple of Athenas. Its the 20700/21700 that is important as insurance in case 18650s become hard to get in the future

I settled on this Timesvape Keen Mech Mod by TenaciousTXVapesBrushed Stainless
It's a hybrid but after looking at my dripper collection I have several with pins long enough to use a hybrid safely. Good ratings and reviews on the thing and it should be a solid long term backup piece. I can do bottom fire it just isn't my first choice.

My place of employment is working on a preparedness and response plan in case we have to work from home during any coronavirus outbreak. It's getting real. I heard it through the grapevine that my state probably does have active cases (of course)...just not advertised yet.

Argh! If you can use a hybrid I would have said get a Clutch hands down. The Keen is a nice mod though.
