Sooooooo

I did some price comparisons between Stabwood UK and Vicious Ant USA inc all shipping, ID verification, delivery with an adult signature fee and taxes.

only to find out that ordering from the UK site would be actually less expensive than purchasing from VA stateside.

The biggest reason is that the state (sin) tax is 90% :w00t: in Massachusetts !!!

The UK site doesn’t collect those taxes or fees. The Customs form is labeled as “Electronics something something” and nothing more. They’ve never had a package returned due to customs issues.

Of course the bummah is that I fell in love with a pink Marquis on the VA website :( !!!!!

Life always makes things interesting! “Life” like a vape mod means ANTHING in the scheme of things !

I'm down to 27 ProVari...2-Classics, 2-P3, and 23-2.5 (3 are Minis + 20 full size). Have sold several new ones I had duplicates of, in the last 2-3 years. 22 are still new in their boxes. I just couldn't resist many of the amazing finishes/colors, and the Dragons...(oh my they're gorgeous). Also bought 2 new prototype 1-of-a-kind colors/finishes that never made it to production before PV closed.

Didn't even have a single ProVari...until May 2016. That 1 was going to be IT as far as ProVari, until this thread made me aware of the rabbit hole. :D

To this day, I've never tried a Provari. No reason other than I was too cheap back then to pay what they cost. Now I have one DNA mod after the next.

I’m actually disappointed in the price drops of used mods especially high end vape gear like Provaris and Lost Vape DNA75Cs and Yihi too mods.

I thought that as items were harder to find due to: shops closing, outrageous state taxes, shipping and ID fees - then used great condition gear would actually cause the prices to inflate. You know like

    Supply and Demand

I cringe when I see the prices on a lot of the Asmodus hardware for pennies on the dollar!!

Asmodus has SHUT DOWN! Their mods are great and unique. I would think the prices would shoot higher but what do I know :matrix: lol!!

The Trishul Mods came in from Evolution Vaping in England. They're good for a mid-priced mod. (about $55 US). The outstanding feature of these mods is an excellent magnetic constant contact switch that once pressed, makes a quick and decisive contact. The constant contact mechanism uses a silicone ring instead of a spring to create pressure against the battery. The button is recessed, so it is very stable when standing up and there is no fiddly locking mechanism. It comes with a plastic insulating sleeve that accommodates a 21700 battery, and an 18650 adapter. There is an insulator around the hybrid top connection. When opening the bottom, the threading is a little loose, but it tightens up fine. The tube feels rather light - at first I thought they were plated aluminum, but the manufacturer's spec says that the tube is solid brass or solid copper - the copper and brass finishes appear to be more of a "copper-tone" and "brass-tone" and lack the appearance of "depth" that you'd expect with solid polished metal. There are vent holes at the top end with grooves to the outside. The 18650 threading is a little loose too, and the top is not removable. The biggest negative to these mods is that the copper and brass version are hard to use with one hand. The tube does not have enough taper and it slips between my fingers when trying to press the button with my thumb. However, the black version has enough friction to use this way. When holding it between my thumb and fingers, the button is a little hard to press with my pinky finger. It includes a spare silicone ring and magnet. Overall, I'd say that they're worth the price and I don't have buyer's remorse.

@Fidola13 asked for photos, so here they are:

I've found the Orbtronic rewrap button top (unprotected) 18650's to be a good fit for pre V3 ProVari's. My wife prefers 18500's though, so I might have to look around once the stockpile is exhausted in a few years.

I always preferred the mini's with 18350's or at most the mini+extension or full size w/o extension using an 18450. Those size batts even when I found some, just didn't last long compared to being spoiled using AW batts for years.

Thought I'd post about these deals in case anyone has checked their "stash" and discovered maybe they could use a few more decent, well-known mods and/or kits, for very good prices. They'd also help newbies to stocking up, to stretch their $$ and get more bang for their bucks. (I know most of you already know the details about each mod, kit, tank, etc....but I posted them for newbies that those details might help.) Anyway.........

Ejuices.com has extended their 30% off sitewide Sale, and they have the following available. The prices shown already have the 30% taken off. But....if you sign up for their newsletters (the box to do it will pop up with the offer while you're browsing)...you'll get a 20% off code emailed to you quickly. You can use THAT code, too!

They're still offering Free S/H with a $75 or more order. You only have to reach the $75 in your Cart before you apply the 20% off coupon code though! It will still show Free S/H... after you apply the code and the total drops well below that. Without hitting the Free S/H amount, it usually runs $10 + up, especially because of the Adult Signature cost.

They have quantity discounts that automatically apply, too, if you order more than a specific number of any of them.

GeekVape Aegis Solo Starter Kit - comes with the Cerberus sub-ohm tank (it can use many different compatible coils); at 30% off it's just $20.29. But take another 20% off = $16.23/kit. For those that aren't familiar with it, the Solo takes a single 18650 battery. It's available in Black/Red only.

Vaporesso GEN-S 220W Mod - At 30% off it's only $28.69 and is available in many colors and color combinations. If you apply the 20% off code...it drops to only $22.95. It takes 2 18650 batteries.

Vaporesso GEN-S Starter Kit - It comes with the NRG-S tank (it uses any of the Vaporesso GT coils, and many other coils are compatible, too). By the way, the GT coils are also on Sale! At 30% off the kit is just $34.29 and 17 are available, only in Matte Gray. With the 20% off code, it would drop to $27.43, which is a really good deal!
