That's what I've always believed.

One possible snag folks have talked about is that the flavors safe for vaping are currently separated out for us by many vendor sites. It might happen in the future that all the flavors are listed together leaving it up to us to figure out which ones are safe for us. Like reading the small print to check for oil in the ingredients. And people who don't understand the do's and don'ts making scary mistakes.
I already do that because I like to buy direct. (wages of cheapassitude) Some paper chromatography is needed but that’s not exactly hard. I’ve done it by accident with toilet water and T.P. Just gotta make sure there’s no oil in a given flavoring. Or just stay away from anything butter,(diacetyl) cinnemon (cinnemon oil), or sometimes citrus (orange oil). You just mix it up
with some water and put it on a piece of paper. It’s kinda fun with black markers. They’re often not really black.

Interesting topic...
I had been told by a local vape shop(right before they stopped selling/making juice) that they could, technically, still do it but they needed to get some sort of certification from the government and pay a ridiculous amount of money. So it just wasn't worth it for them.
As for supplies I've found most of what I needed online but I surely miss the golden days of being able to buy parts and mods on ebay. I did buy a USB programmer from the Chinese company that makes a lot of the mainboard for mods. With that you can troubleshoot, read/write firmware, etc
Which helps keep what I have working(mostly). Also you can still get certain parts on Chinese sites if you don't mind waiting months to get it, although I notice they have cracked down a bit too(at least concerning foreign customers).
....sigh....such is the world we live in.
I'll quit before I use disposables though heh.
Also find it more than a little sus that the only ones really affected by legislation were the small shops and not the big cig companies...as others said...$$$$$

This has been interesting.
My vape journey started with the sole purpose of quitting cigarettes. At the beginning, it did that (far better than using any of the patches, gum, and prescriptions). For a number of years, vaping was a hobby, and I used vaping to lower my nicotine levels down to 3mg. I had amassed a number of tanks, coils, mods, etc. --those things we all hoarded away for that "vape apocalypse". Near the end of this journey, I have now started using the vape tools I stashed (no need buying any new equipment), and I have to say, some of it just makes me laugh a bit, especially when I come across a lot of things that are no longer available to buy anymore. Saying thanks to those vendors that are no longer there servicing the vape community, along with those juice makers (a lot are no longer in business, which is sad) that made my journey possible.

Pretty much all that I use fits that category :)
And for a lot of gear there was a brief period of time just before they disappeared from the market when you could pick them up for pennies. Like KFL, Lemo and Provari. I got quite a few of those three. plus some others.

Yeah. Minnesota was the first to require it. They had to pay to test every formulation of their product to make sure it was safe, and that kind of testing is expensive. Diacetyl and cinnamon oil just taste too good. Also there was all that cigarette company generated MCE garbage with the CDC. We did finally determine that it was BS and had nothing to do with e-cigs, but companies were already driven out of business.

No worries! There are many of us who have built a vape stash with WAY MORE in it than we'll ever use in our own lifetime. If/when you run out of an older, now hard to find favorite tank, RBA, mod, drop-in-coils, etc....just post a Wanted Ad in the Classifieds here on ECF. It's likely that members will be able to help you get more of them.

Been prepping since 2009. Got 4 80 qt plastic boxes full of vape gear (3 with gear and one with pg and vg). Started with a dozen or so 510 cigalike batteries and 2 qt jars vacusealed full of 510 attys and a bag full of radio shack battery boxes with on off switches and the fittings that the atty screws into (how many here remember having to build our own mods?). I've got hundreds of different tanks (most of which I would have to research to find the names of). I've got about 60 Kayfuns (those I actually still use). For mods, there's 6 or 7 Vamos (I think that's the name) and about 50 mechanical and maybe 30 VW mods. That supply is all thanks to vapedeals.com. I never buy anything when it hits the market but I stock up when the next new thing comes out and the older one goes on sale for pennies on the dollar. When the top air flow tanks came out I bought one and retired to the box all my other tanks. When the newer tanks came out, I filled the stash with the older ones. I just found out what a great vape the the mesh RTAs provide. Vapedeals.com no longer exists so I have to find another source to stockpile from. I found a good deal on a Geekvape Zeus X Mesh on cheapvaping.deals but even though it works really well, it uses proprietary mesh so for the stash I need to find one that I can stock with bulk mesh strips. The stash probably has miles of different coil wires, premade coils, tank parts, and mod parts. Thing is as long as vaping continues to evolve, the stash will never be complete.
Edit: Forgot to mention the unknown quantity of Egos buried down in the stash.

    Somewhere between here and there
I’ve been going through my stash of mods, tanks, and pods that I’ve accumulated from years of buying and doing reviews. I’ve found that a lot of the stuff I’ve stockpiled is stuff I really don’t care for very much. I’ve sold some and thrown out some but still have enough to open a vape store.

I hear ya. An RTA that needs a proprietary coil is more of a clearomizer than an RTA in terms of vapocalypse. It's basically a clearomizer that's easy to rebuild, but you are still behondel to the manufacturer. So when that mesh is out of production, your tanks are out of commission...unless you stockpile the mesh. So no different than a clearomizer.

Nothing wrong with stockpiling clearomizers (I have quite a few) as long as you plan on stockpiling the coil/mesh.

You don't mention a stockpile of nicotine. Do you vape 0mg? Nicotine is already hard to come by these days and it will get worse.

Just wanted to say hey. Still vaping on this 8 year old Smok MAG kit somehow. Have had some other stuff die along the way but this won't quit. Checked my coils recently and I'm probably overstocked so I did it right.

How the :censored: did you get a Smok Mag to last 8 years??? I went through 3 of them in 18 months. In all 3 the power switch quit working.

Nice to see you drop in to say Hi! Is your Dad also still vaping? I remember that you're a good son and have been helping him stay well-stocked, too. :)
Hello! Yes he is! I just sent him some of my Kanger 0.5 coils for Father's Day this year and some Pico's recently as well for another gift.

Haha I have no idea. I guess because it never leaves my desk? The tanks leak as soon as you tilt them 10 degrees so it just lives there.
