...really want to be looking at things that will last more than a few months :)
O'well they indeed do. My Kayfuns from 2012 are as new and performing today as they were on their day of purchase. Welcome aboard dear!

I was thinking those gizmos on the build deck are for thicker wires. Sometimes with thicker wires, as you screw down they tend to get pushed out, but with those arms, they would stay. Maybe if you raised the screw, you can feed the wire around then trap? The only thing though, is in that clapton pic, the wires are on the outside, not between the screw and arm.

K5 – a message to “mouth to lung” vapers...

~WHAT WE HAVE OBSERVED

Since the K4 was released, we could observe that around 50% of all K4 customers have bought a 4S Kit, willing to sacrifice adjustability to increase the airflow...

~INTENTION
The K5 is by no means as a “sub-ohm tank” only. Our core focus has always remained on flavor and usability... but we recognize the fact that there are vapers out there who simply prefer direct lung inhaling and who’ve been neglected by us in the past.

~KAYFUNS HAVE ALWAYS BEEN MODULAR AND CUSTOMIZABLE
As with most things, the truth usually lays somewhere in the middle. Therefore, most today vapers like a setup in the middle. We’re confident that, for the vast majority, the K5 will have an airflow setting, you will enjoy!

For those, who prefer a tighter draw than the K5 offers by default, we’re already on an inexpensive solution, that can be added effortless to the K5 and will give you the experience, you desire.

I, for one, will be glad to get rid of the air flow screw. That has been the only con in an otherwise perfect device. As Bronze knows, for whatever reason, all my air flow screws want to loosen. I have come to realize that I rarely set my mod down when I am not doing anything that requires both hands.

I find that I cannot sit still. Something has to be moving. I do believe that I twist my provari around, bounce it on my leg while listening to music. That thing pretty much is always in motion.

I have not done anything to keep the screw in one spot (tape or whatever around the threads) cuz I don't know exactly where I like the air flow for all time.

It has become second nature to check the position of the airflow screw whenever I fill or do anything that requires the removal of the kayfun from the ProVari. If that screw comes out just enough from the bottom, it will seize onto the ProVari ring. It had happened a few times before I figured out what was causing this to happen. Once I figured it out and am vigilant, it doesn't happen any longer.

I am looking forward to checking out the K5. I can say with certainty, if there is something that I can screw up..... I will.

I also can say with certainty, I will figure out how not to screw it up again. :p

Or how to fix after said screw up. ;)

Which is why Svoemesto made a mistake by not having you as a beta tester. :)

Did you try using one of your spare airflow screws (that came in your spares bag)? Many times it will solve your loose screw issue (on your KFL, not the one in your head). :D

I was looking at this vid

and it seems that both air and e-liquid controlled by the same ring by sliding it up or down..

Yes, it appears the air flow ring has a lift/turn/drop action. And it looks as if it is locked in pretty good.

I'll be buying their "inexpensive solution" I'm sure. :)

I know! Right?!?! ROFLMAO

I haven't thought of trying the spare screw. I will see about that.

Nothing will fix the loose screw in my head. I kinda like it that way though! :D
