What up neighbor!28g Kanthal yea, its a touch under .4ohms. I have been vaping it for the last day or so, I think I may need to switch my juice cause its hitting hard as I expected, but the juice Im using makes it a TOUCH harsh at times.
This thing is a cloud machine lol. I can't really judge flavor though. I used a DIY juice. But I will be rewicking and changing juice on it soon.
As for splitting method, I did a normal 10 wrap first and then torched while pinching. Then I split it... this part was an absolute pain in my left .... cheek. If you have one of those jeweler's magnifying headwear, I highly suggest you use it. I wish I had one lol. After I split, I have it a pinch with tweezers to tighten them back up. Then I put my safety pins back in and installed them. I gave them another pinch after dry burning them to make sure everything was nice and tight and in working order.
These coils glow bright red instantly.
Decided to finally pick up some cotton from CVS for my Igo-L and Vamo. My first coil was terrible. Second coil was good but broke it trying to bend around the cotton. Third was a charm. Though I still can't get the cotton where I want it. 11 wraps of 30gauge around a paper clip gives me 2.7ohm. Will play around with that next. Even with my newbie build I feel dizzy after 2 hits. My 50/50 DIY Lychee tastes a lot better with the sterile cotton over the normal coil with ekowool.
One other note, its so much easier to put this coil on the IGO-L than a normal coil wrapped around a wick.
I just feel like at lower ohms you're probably just torching the juice & with higher VG juices you're building up a toxic layer of funk quickly. I get ridiculous flavor from a dragon nano between 0.8 -1.2ohms. Just my take on it.
Nope. My coils stay clean.
But you have to realize, you're not taking as long of pulls on these setups.
Try using 28 gauge. It's thicker & thus more durable and will require a few more wraps/coils but each coil set up can last months.
