On a true dragon (like iTEO shows), I think it must go through the coil and shoot out the ends.

Hey Kriskee, does the vapor shoot out the ends on your build?

Yup from both sides. I stick a pin to keep the shape uniform and adjust it on the cotton. Then i use tweezers to push the coils together. Im guessing that the coil cant have gaps to achieve this.

Bound to have some small gaps though because the air can't be coming in either end. :vapor:

got it set up on the Rm2!

Wrapped 28 gauge wire 10 times on a safety pin, small size, 1.3 ohm coil.

Put the legs through the wire holes as normal, BUT once the legs are in even, shift the entire coil over (away from the juice feed hole) so the opening in the coil is as close to the wall as possible.

I used Peaches and cream yarn. Take a 2 inch length of the yarn, and tie a girth hitch around the coil so the ends of the yarn go under the coil. Here's the somewhat tricky part. Keep the safety pin in and apply pressure so the wires remain taut. Snug the girth hitch down so its tight all around the coil.

Trim the ends and slightly push them under the coil.

After reading all the pages, I have built 2 "dragon" setups on my Nimbus clones. One with 25AWG, 6 wraps on a paperclip giving me 0.5ohms and the other is using 26AWG, 8 wraps giving me 0.8ohns. Both are giving me tremendous clouds. This is my first built on nancoil (never tried microcoils) and really loving it. Thank you ITEO for sharing this.

I just picked up an Igo-L from a local vape shop about 2 hours ago, I've built 4 coils for it so far and every single time I get super harsh, burnt/dry taste that makes me cough up a lung and hurts my chest.. not to mention barely any vapor, its not even 1/100th of the vapor production you're pumping in that video. I am so envious of people who get that kind of vapor production. I guess I just have no idea what I'm doing. I just use a small hex key, wrap about 5 wraps, hook it up and heat the coil to glowing for about 10 seconds, thread my wick and its always a terrible vape :(

*EDIT* regarding the guy above me and everyone else who wraps these micro coils using paper clips, how in the world do you thread any wick through that? and even after you thread the wick, how is it any good at holding liquid with it being so thin? I'm a complete noob to RBAs in need of some guidance.

Id recommend reading through at least the first few pages of this thread, as Jjshbetz11 noted, there is no wick goign through the coil, the coil sits on a bed of cotton or other wicking material.

@ Elgato...

Are you sure you've positioned the coil close to the airhole? If not you'll get intense TH will significantly less vapor.

Like others mentioned, even though 42 pages deep and counting, this thread if read through should explain everything you need to know with one of the first things being that with this build there is an absence of threading the coil. Instead its using the open coil with wicking around it while making sure to leave the ends of the coil open that makes this type of set up shine and stand apart from other builds as the open coil allows air flow through it while wicking around the coil feeds it.

Some may prefer just sitting the coil onto cotton but I prefer to take full advantage of the coil's surface area and wrap the cotton lightly around the entire thing with exception, of course, to both ends leaving it open. I find it increases the feeding of juice to the heat of the coil which combined with air flow through the inner coil itself results in some of the most insane vapor and flavor I've experienced from any build.

Also, I'm assuming you're using a multimeter to make sure you know what the ohms are so you don't run the risk of battery exploding in your face with flames water wont extinguish.
