If you really want to change donnies mind on vaping, cut him in on the profits, otherwise he is going to say stupid stuff like the sound of windmills causes cancer (a direct reference to his golf course in scottland where golfers were offended).

That is it, the real truth. Everything else is just a way to avoid the truth. Donnie is driven by $.

Not your $'s, his dollars, there is a big difference.

@DarrenMG please stop. Look, I don't disagree with your assessment of the current President, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a single instance of me bashing him in these forums because in so doing I would be sewing division. There is enough division already in this country and in this world. On this forum, we need to stand united. Please stand with us, and stop sewing division amongst our members.

I wish. But

I try to bite my tongue, like you do, when politics come up here. Most of the time I succeed or hit ignore before my brain explodes. But looking back at the thousands of posts I've accidentally stumbled over bashing Obama, childish rants about Kalifornia, sneering at Obamacare, it's endless. Now a few stray shots come in from the other side and there's a righteous ....storm of outrage and red X's.

OK, Darren, please stop. The room needs more grownups, be one of them.

TBH I don't care what people say until it starts an argument in a thread I started and seems like it could cause the thread to get locked. I want the discussion to continue and in order to do that it has to remain unlocked.

He, you, and everyone esle is certainly entitled to your opinion and even to post them. To be clear my asking him to take it to The Outside was primarily driven by one sentence:
This is what happens when you open up of that gates of let's not be PC, you are going to get nasty stuff back too.

This admitting that he was and would probably continue posting comments that were intentionally "nasty" and seemingly intended to start fights is not going to be tolerated by either side. If anyone feels compelled to call out a specific politician for something they did or said then fine.

Okay lets say congress is not acting out of ignorance, then the next explanation is worse.
In other words, what I've been saying all along? Does anybody really believe that the key players don't actually understand what's going on here? Seriously?

This is not now, nor has it ever been about children and public health. It's about power and money which are two sides of the same coin.

Lobbying these people is a waste of time and always has been. Public opinion has to change in such a way as to impact their power and money. Until that happens, nothing will change. Nothing.

They also care about keeping their seats. Because if they lose that, they lose access to their personal money spigot.
Yes. Power means keeping their seats and money is what accomplishes that. Power and money.

Let's not kid ourselves. This goes for all politicians, regardless of which party or what area of the spectrum they fall on.

Nah, the right felt no guilt over calling obama, obummer, or being critical. If it was about honor the president then why did that happen? This is what happens when you open up of that gates of let's not be PC, you are going to get nasty stuff back too.

Trump whines over any negative news report, yep, that is what happens when you open the lets not be PC flood gates.

People are respectfully asking you to stop.

Here on this forum we don't always agree about politics, but we do offer one another respect despite our political differences..

I love @Eskie to bits, and I'm sure he feels the same about me, yet politically we are on opposite sides of the isle, yet, we discuss politics frequently - we just do it respecting the people we are, and our samenesses, rather than emphasizing our differences, or trying to poke bears with sticks.

Sure, sometimes you come across posts that are like yours, but those people are also asked respectfully to stop, and loved for the vapers and people they are..

It's like family here.. so stop acting like the crazy drunk uncle at Thanksgiving day dinner.. respectfully.

I would like to know if there still are new members who recently quit smoking thanks to vaping. May be all who wanted to quit did it already?

Due to all this publicity I think the forum has gotten a lot of new foot traffic, and some of them are new vapers..

What I was trying to say is that we shouldn't give up flooding their phones and emails, letting them know that we vape and we vote. There are way enough vapers to sway elections and I think they should know that.

Hey.. based on a post by @Baditude in another thread, I think (?) he indicated that the house is planning a bill (today?) to make vaping illegal?

but I'm not seeing anything new other than the hearing from yesterday, after a cursory look through the thread real fast..

am I missing something? Or was yesterday's hearing what Bad was talking about and I was misunderstanding?

As members have pointed out...you need to stop - you have been told this before.
You are posting against the rules.
If you want to post political stuff then take it to the Outside Forum - that's why we have it.
It is not fit conversation in the General Forums.
Thank you.
