I have a question. tobacco advertisements have been banned from tv for a long time. If vaping products are deemed to be tobacco products then why can Juul and Blue and a couple others still advertise on tv?

Probably need to amend the law to include vaping products.

I think you will find that "Tobacco Products" were Not Banned from TV.

I believe that "Cigarettes" were banned 1st. Then "Cigar" and "Pipe Tobacco" were amended in to the Communications act.

I'm Not sure if "Smokeless" products have ever been Banned on TV or Not?

Tobacco advertisements have been banned from tv for a long time.

Initially that only applied to cigarettes. But the Marlboro Protection Family Smoking Prevention & Tobacco Control Act gave the FDA the power to regulate advertising of all tobacco products.

Ten years, and we've gone from being considered friendly, harmless, and eccentric to bring seen as demonic, morally corrupt, drug pushers. The DEA is involved with vaping product returns, what a croc of s**t! Wake me up in a sane world please, if it even exists anymore.

It's almost like they're using ecigarettes as a tool for furthering drug enforcement budget increases. Like there isn't enough money being funneled into the whole failed system.

BREAKING: FDA filed a notice that it will be appealing Judge Grimm’s decision in AAP v FDA. The vapor industry was also recently granted intervention & has also filed a notice of appeal. Stay tuned for more analysis (but this likely won’t impact anticipated flavor ban guidance).
