LOOK. It wasn't fun for ME EITHER, frankly. LOL.

I want to hear more about these fentanyl vapes, like really you can vape fentanyl? What HAPPENS? Is it spectacular?

I kid, I kid, but I am sort OF CURIOUS. I mean, if fentanyl vaping is all that's left I might want one for my final hours in the bunker.

I don't mean to make fun of opiate addiction (I mean, I am one, in recovery) but HOLY CRUD does that sound EPIC. (Good or bad.)

Yeah, I want to see the article some testimony from someone who did it, an some testimony from outside observers.

Yeah, ban flavored vapes. In the meantime, new headlines:

Fentanyl found in unregulated vape cartridges in other states. ‘Just a matter of time’ before it comes to Utah

Are they all blind? Stupid? Unwilling to admit what's really going on? How is banning
innocuous nicotine eliquids, which have been used by millions worldwide for over 12 years without ever causing a death or illness, going to help with this current health crisis brought on by tainted illicit cartridges?

Sometimes I just want to scream.........

"“Fentanyl is the number one problem we are seeing with the cartels because they are putting that out in mass,” Besser said."

Cartels huh... I wouldn't believe it even with "proof" because the Tobacco industry has more to gain here.

If you can't beat them... just kill off a few people, cause a mass panic and destroy the industry. One that's your $2.5 Billion/year competitor.

Nah you can flavored cigarillos here in most flavors you want (those tiny, vile cheap cigar things.)

I always wondered who wanted those things until my stoner son (yeah, yeah he's a medical MJ user who sometimes still acts JUST like a stoner the two are not incompatible, actually and I am sure he would have been a stoner anyway, not that I care.... Provided you are functional) used to get all excited about buying them and rolling blunts. I pointed out a more expensive cigar would not be as gross, which agreed with, but he also pointed out he could get like a 6 pack for like 5 bucks. LOL.

Anna

Apples are cheaper, covert and at a moments notice I could eat the evidence without raising suspicion.

i just looked up fentenyl.
it's supposed to be super strong.
if that's so, why would you need a vape for a delivery system?
vaping can't compete with mainlining, can it?

does anyone know?

It's roughly 100x as strong as her/oin. Smoke it or shoot it and you seriously risk an OD.

thanks, morg, but why vape it then?
sounds like you just need to cut it.
does vaping cut it?
i gotta say, reducing the impact of drugs doesn;t sound like junky behavior.

Lungs get the drug to the brain quicker even over IV. It also affects the type of high in some cases. I only answer junkie questions...

Some dealers put it in her/oin to make their product stronger.

Sometimes the end user doesn't know it's in there, they do their normal dose and end up OD'ing/dead.

Uh, I used to work with the types of addicts who like, if they knew there was a "bad batch" out there they would like make it their mission to a go out and find said ...... because they would get a "better high."

I'm not saying that's smart thinking or anything, and while I am glad I was more of a pill popper and until the end a rather restrained opioid user, I can see the logic.

However, Fentanyl patches shouldn't really exist if that is what you are using for "chronic pain" well, you are doing it wrong. You definitely should stick with the medical marijuana.

I am ALMOST 100% certain that this is the GAFIA (government mafia) at work again here, because I guess if fentanyl acts in the lungs the same way as like, you know, anything else, you actually NEED HARDENED opiate users to make it remotely okay and they'd have to have a killer tolerance so to speak, otherwise it just kills everyone.

But you know opiates ANYWHERE marijuana goes it wants to go one BETTER. VITAMIN A carts (MJ) killing a bunch of folks.

"COME ON OPIATR DEALERS YOU KNOW WHAT WE HAVE TO DO. FENTANYL vapes. Let's like hush it up too it will be a super secret present.

But yes, have we learned anything about the BLACK MARKET and vaping yet, FOLKS WHO THINK A TAX IS SO BAD????

Is that like, what you want to think about as you try to buy black market nic eliquid? I sure don't.

And I am SURE GAFIA STRIKE NUMBER ONE against nic liquid will be to kill off HUNDREDS if not thousands of teens and others, to "prove their point."

This is a good read:
The CDC Is Still Warning People to Stop Vaping Completely Over Lung Illness Cases—But Why?

Matt Sutton of the non-profit Drug Policy Alliance told Gizmodo. “Given that all evidence points to the substances in question being purchased off the street and not from legitimate licensed retailers, any bans that are put in place will only negatively impact the safest sources.

From your link...

But Angela Janis, a Wisconsin psychiatrist who has worked with patients who use medical cannabis, is one of many outside experts who are starting to have problems with the federal government’s approach to EVALI, including the CDC.

“I’ve had issue with their use of the terms vaping and e-cigarettes. The nomenclature they use seems to be intentionally confusing,” she told Gizmodo. “Generally, vaping is a delivery method, and e-cigarettes are colloquially known to be those vaping devices used for delivering nicotine, a sub-set of vaping rather than a synonym. The use of the terms synonymously purposefully conflates the two, but I think this leads to more confusion.”

If I Didn't know better, I would say it is Confusion by Design.

One mellows as they age. :)

I miss the times of my youth when every day was an opportunity to explore and enjoy. Once you've seen all you want to see and done most of it, life can become boring if you let it. My teen years were the best. I had limited funds, good friends, a yearning to explore, and an ability to see the best in most everything. :)

@DaveP don't mean to offend, but you are NOT NORMAL. I bet your parents loved you but highly ATYPICAL.

"See the best in everything":lol::lol: Still working on that one. Although, I am considerably less morose than I used to be.

I had fun as a teen, occasionally, like between bouts of not only seeing but manifesting the WORST in everything.

My dad loves chocolate phillys. Gave him a Cuban when we were in Italy, but he opted for a philly instead

Free syringes are given out because the injecting population is like RIFE with either HIV or Hep C (depending on which coast you live on) and frankly, they are given out because someone struggling to come up with their next dime bag is NOT going to try to buy or steal a nice, fresh syringe.

Free syringe programs are a GOOD thing, and they reduce the spread of like diseases that TRUST me NO one wants.

While I agree that ecigs are equally if not MORE harm reduction for smokers, tearing down free syringe programs is not the way to like, PROMOTE either.

Yes, it's total hypocrisy and I am still SO glad they exist.

I am also 100% PRO programs that will PAY addicted women to get Norplant or an IUD. Both are COMPLETELY reversible and they reduce crack babies with HIV. If said woman in question wants to get sober and have a kid, like, then she can.

I would go a step further and make them sort of mandatory. These women do not want (and are not allowed to HAVE even) these babies.

Course, I'm a bit hard core about that one. USE birth control, especially if you are prostituting yourself for drugs.

You may like the program, Anna, frankly I do not.

It normalizes drug use, and if you want to find something that kids will think is alright, this is it. Many of those free syringes wind up on the streets after use. Some of them are left on subway and transit seats infecting innocents. Trust me, it's fact. Yet it gets almost zero attention compared to the vaping crisis.

We would not have this whole vaping nightmare if it wasn't for more drug use and abuse of devices by the underworld. Once they succeed in banning flavors and vaping itself, they will just go elsewhere, leaving us nowhere.

We will have to agree to disagree here.
