I just attempted to place orders with 4 chinese vendors that sell only vape and was redirected to paypal to pay for my order as normal.

CVapor
3AVape
For a little while this AM, 3f and ft weren't able to process PayPal. It may have been a random PayPal thing, but I placed an order I wanted as soon as it cleared.

Here is a Site that is putting together a Database of who has and has not submitted a PMTA.

You don't need to be a coder

Still Very Little Information as to Actual Line Items. But I would say that is by Design for Many OEM's and Retailers.

Another scary deadline arrives and as usual we're left dangling. Death by a thousand cuts. It's like they enjoy torturing us.

I suspect it might be a while before we know what the actual outcome of this one is going to be. It's not impossible that they do start approving PMTAs in a reasonable manner. Or just the BT ones. Or none at all. Or they refrain from enforcement. I'm watching from the sidelines at the moment since it doesn't really impact me personally.

There are UK vendors, too. With the positive attitude toward vaping there, they could remain a source for our needs, no?
Anyone else remember paper checks & money orders?
Those were never really a thing for overseas transactions.

Yeah, but shipping is gonna kill it. Only reason why buying from China is even a thing in the USA is because taxpayers subsidize shipping costs from china (but not to china).

Of course I guess if one is desperate one might pay $20+ for shipping from UK or EU lol.

Not to mention, I doubt most EU vendors are willing to lie on customs forms like Chinese seller do.

I've tried several sites by placing mock orders--now my mailbox is full of emails urging me to complete my order. :D

Not any more. I placed several orders from Chinese sites that used to offer free shipping (over a certain small amount) and none do anymore, except for FT.

Yeah, but chinese shipping is still far cheaper than shipping from western countries last I checked. In fact, Last week I found a hard-to-find vape item and the only place that has it was in Canada. They wanted over $25 to ship a package that would've weight less than a pound.

Last year I found a place in Italy that makes mod parts that I can't get anywhere else and their shipping for 2 battery cap was about $20.

Yep. That's just one of the reasons I have never made a retail purchase from China. I refuse to force other people pay for my stuff.

Chinese sellers doing dishonest things? Say it ain't so!

It's still subsidized by the United States. You ever tried returning a package for a refund back to China? Unless it's a small, expensive item, like electronics or expensive jewelry, the cost to ship back to China is more than the value of the product. Yet, they can ship to the USA for little or no cost, even though because of covid and fewer flights, the cost has gone up. That is why there are fewer free shipping options and FT had a problem on its hands a few weeks ago.

Yeah, that's what it actually costs without subsides. But somehow the deal that China, Inc. made with the US Government has utterly spoiled most people.

Yes. And the shipping was to a US warehouse (inexpensive) and I was reimbursed for it because my item was defective. But yes, I agree with your (and @Rossum 's )arguments about shipments being subsidized. But whose fault is it? ;)
