I don't know if this has been posted, but why oh why do the British seem to be getting it but our legislators for the most part don't seem to be.

Tobacco and Related Products Regulations 2016 - Hansard Online
I think 10 years from now, the FDA is going to look really stupid compared to the UK. I picture the Brits smoking rates continuing to decline along with their incidences of smoking related disease and death. Meanwhile in the good old USA smoking rates will be climbing back up along with smoking related illnesses. Of course, the FDA looks really stupid right now too!

Yes, it's Wikipedia, but it's cited:

"Propylene glycol is also used in various edible items such as coffee-based drinks, liquid sweeteners, ice cream, whipped dairy products and soda. Vaporizers used for delivery of pharmaceuticals or personal-care products often include propylene glycol among the ingredients.Propylene glycol is used as a solvent in many pharmaceuticals, including oral, injectable and topical formulations, such as for diazepam and lorazepam which are insoluble in water."

But try finding an example. I couldn't, when I tried.

Well, if he accomplishes nothing else with that video, at least he got me wide awake when I was about to decide to take a nap.

I like it, and will be viewing it, regularly. I've seen a few of his reviews, but he never reviews gear old enough to resemble anything I use.

I'm gonna watch it speeded up next time, for extra urgency effect. I do that by downloading the low quality option from the UnPlug plugin for firefox, and play it back using vlc media player (freeware). If anyone tries it, I suggest going no faster than 1.7x speed for that video. Any faster might burn holes in your speakers and/or ears.

He's fun with captions on.

I'm not telling anyone else what to do, but I'm not lying in this fight. It seems to me that all the little, and not so little, lies we've let the other side get away with are coming back to bite us.
I'm not going to, either, and haven't been, but I've been supportive of people that use some of TC's lies to make the comparison to smoking even better than it is, which happens to be way more than enough, without disortion. Sometimes I tried to separate out the lies from my support, but usually not.

I get torn over that. I don't feel right supporting, or not supporting.

It's one of the problems for all being on the same page, but not the only.

Sounds like me, except that I wasn't intending to quit. I liked smoking and just got an ecig to play with, I thought they were a gimmick, but after trying one I was amazed. I never had another cigarette. That was almost 4 years ago.
Exact same thing for me, 'cept it's been just three years. 3 PAD for 45 years, mostly unfiltered, and I just picked one up on a whim at the checkout counter one day. Not had one cig since that afternoon!

Now this hurts all of us. The littlest to biggest companies who make and sell vaping materials in all categories. If the manufacturers have huge meetings/conferences scheduled to meet with FDA etc., what about the faces behind them (US)...isn't there any way we can demand that our faces and voices be heard as well? This affects many of us having no expectations from vaping. I liked smoking. Had surgeon tell me I had to quit or no surgery, no surgery I'd have been paralyzed! So they put me on chantix got sicker than a dog still have side effects, had surgery went back to smoking just can't taste certain things, tolerate certain smells or tastes can't drink coffee or I'll get sick.
Started vaping 2 yrs ago basic pen style started at 24 mg, then tasted it out of a bomber mod. BAM put down 24 mg to 6 and now at 3 mg if the juice is only available in zero I'll take it. I have intense debilitating pain I need something to do. I don't need the nicotine as much as an escape from pain. Vaping got me to quit!!! Now my bones aren't falling apart as fast, I'm not putting poison in my lungs I can breathe. Now when I'm hurting I smile with my mod and great juices relax and smile, it gets me through another day, without smoking cigarettes.
I tried patches you name it. THE ONLY WAY I QUIT OR COULD QUIT IS VAPING!!!
I'm a face with a successful story because I Vape.
Don't we have the right to rally, protest and be SEEN AND HEARD!!!
Big tobacco, government, hospitals, FDA and pharmaceutical companies would rather see us try to find a way to pay for chemotherapy, hospital visits and let us slowly die!
I fought harder than I should have had to with my health and I am more than willing ready and waiting to fight to keep my vaping rights! Which affects my health.
There has to be a way we can demand were heard and ask the people with the best success stories to bravely stand up and look them in the eyes and tell their stories.
My personal experiences have taught me that I had to be educated and proactive in my health care and I honestly had to scream fight and go over big shots heads to be heard. When they wouldn't approve a bone stimulator. I went to the corporate office of my insurance company white as a ghost gnarly looking crawl walking in and calmly said I wasn't leaving until it was approved....They had to SEE ME to HEAR ME! (not to mention other people they insured saw me). Yes, I was approved quite quickly. Lol
This is no different, it's easier to push people down when you can't see them because were faces without names or stories right now. I'm sorry but no matter how many letters we write or petitions we sign, we are invisible. And I know so many of you have put your hearts into trying with all you had to make a difference, please don't think we all thought it would help!! They place those papers in closets.
There has to be a way we can request having the right to speak peacefully and respectfully with them, can't we set up a few conventions like the manufacturers are, so all of us can afford to go so "We the People" get to meet with the same people who are going to shut this all down!
Having to see our faces and hearing many stories has a profound affect on any human being no matter how big they are or what job title they have. I know I didn't go up against the FDA, but I went head to head with doctors, surgeons, insurance companies.
Believing in yourself, knowing yourself and educating yourself about protecting your life, your health means something!!! We don't have the 2 yrs we thought
we had. This is a big group, strength in numbers!!!
So let's find a way to be seen and heard at a professional factual level. When your calm and collected and speak with passion and factual information your on the same level as them.
Those are just their jobs, ultimately they are just people like us. When you don't yell swear or scream .. YOU REALLY ARE HEARD!! We would have faces at these conventions, we could help end lung cancer from killing not just ourselves but our children and so on. Unfortunately, I am only educated in family and traffic laws, but having an open convention with adult respect and behavior with them "could" make a difference??
Just a thought! Have a great night. keepcalmvapeon

I am not certain if I get what you want as an example. Do you mean in a specific food item like this?

    An example in inhalers.

Oh, PG in inhalers. This is another faulty argument (right next to "it's just water vapor" ) often used by our side. PG was used in asthma inhalers in the past, but has been discontinued some time ago--they probably found a better carrier.

The only inhaler I know of that uses PG is this one--not sold in the US.

    Nicorette Mist (Johnson&Johnson):

"Adults and Children over 12 years of age" :)

And the list of ingredients: ;)

    Propylene glycol
    Anhydrous ethanol
    Trometamol
    Poloxamer 407
Glycerol--(that's VG for those who don't know)
    Sodium hydrogen carbonate
    Levomenthol
    Mint flavour
    Cooling flavour
    Sucralose
    Acesulfame potassium
    Hydrochloric acid
    Purified water

Very admirable what you've been able to do advocating for your healthcare. I'm trying to think how we could do similar kind of advocacy. I doubt there are many of us, who by appearance it would be obvious that we need vaping, but I understand your point about face to face meeting is larger than just that.

    I really appreciate your message.

I actually agree with you, that we need to get a good public image out there.

I actually don't know what our general public image is, other than vaping is BT version 2.0. Most of the public doesn't even know that cloud competitions exist.

What we need is this, but of vapers:

We could start that here. We create a thread of nothing but pictures of ourselves, one pic each of course. It wouldn't take even one tenth of our membership participating in it before we had a huge collection that someone with the know how could then turn into a video.

I do remember reading the ingredients on my daughter's asthma inhaler about 5 years ago and it contained PG. I didn't know they discontinued it. Maybe not in inhalers but certainly is still used in a lot of meds such as these:
