Looks like Johnson's Creek is having second thoughts about "welcoming FDA regulation". And, I guess this answers my question as to whether they got cut out of the whole Blu loop when it was sold or not.

Majority Media | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee | Homeland Security & Governmental Affairs Committee

That letter to the FDA is the first thing I have read concerning and since the final deeming regulations that lifted my spirits. Dropping letters to everyone on that committee showing my support......oh, I see McCaskill is on it.....oh well.....the letter itself has brightened my day enough to not let that drag me down. :)

I posted this in the HR2058 thread but figured it was worthy of putting here to.

AEMSA hired a consulting/lobbying firm to push for approval of HR2058. Every day is a mix of good and bad news. Posting good news always feels better...lol

I left a comment about the risks according to the Royal Colllege of Physicians because the article had an erroneous comment about the risks of ecigs. Gotta get the good info out there. vape on!

I just did the latest CTA from CASAA. I noticed that they did not mention the Cole-Bishop Amendment. So I expanded my message to them.... In spades. I also went on a little rant of my own.

I also told them I was watching and I was taking notes on how they vote. I made sure to let them know that if they don't help, I will do my best to help Them Out of office the next time they are up for re-election.

I'm not in his jurisdiction (though he's in mine, in a way) - but I emailed a "Thank you" to Ron Johnson for that letter. I mean, holy crap, a voice of reason in a government agency...challenging the FDA?
    Shaweeeeeet.

I shoulda saved my email. I had some winners in there...

I recently "deemed" that the FDA was a basketball team. Doesn't make it so.
My e-cigarette is a little wooden box with a battery in it - that's not tobacco - and that's kind of the whole point.

In case you don't want to wade through all the info in that link I just posted, I think this one point is something most of us didn't even think of. Basically no changes can be made, including safety features. I will paste an example from the blog:

Comment: This seems like a good point. If I am a manufacturer of batteries for electric toothbrushes and people start using my batteries in their vaping devices, and I then put a note on my web site stating that these batteries may be used in vaping devices, I am now a tobacco product manufacturer under the regulations and must comply with all provisions. This means I must label my product as a tobacco product (falsely stating that it contains tobacco) and furthermore, that I cannot make any changes to my batteries after August 8, 2016, even if those changes are critical safety improvements, unless I receive pre-market authorization approval from the agency. If I am a manufacturer of glass vials and I am reasonably aware that many consumers are using these vials to store e-liquids, I could possibly be deemed to be a tobacco product manufacturer. If I advertise that these glass vials would make good containers for e-liquids, then I am most definitely considered a tobacco product manufacturer.

Okay, made it through the spurt of comments, now a break to read the half a dozen or so tabs that round opened up on my browser.
ROFLMAO I just had to close a bunch of tabs because I was getting confused on what I had read but left up to repost somewhere else.... Got it done though. :)

Johnson Seeks Answers from FDA on Burdensome E-Cigarette Regulations

"Please provide this material as soon as possible but no later than 5:00 p.m. on May 31, 2016."

Ouch. Sounds like Mrs. Kodiak giving me a due date for one of her projects. (And one does not ignore a due date from Mrs. Kodiak ).

Just be glad she gives you a due date.

Doesn't Johnson Creek know that the FDA will know it when they see it?
Sorry for not being sympathetic with Johnson Creeks plight.
It just goes to show you were multi-million dollar expansions and ISO certified production
    facilities will get you, nothing.
Making e-liquid is closer to making Kool Aid than extracting plutonium.
    Regards
    Mike
