My old dog used to root around in the litter box for cat poop to eat. Apparently that is a great delicacy to dogs. :D

We used to refer to that as 'snack in the box'.

Sorry, back on topic. Have been reading all this linked material. Interesting.

What this may do.... (another trip through the "gov't prism" where you get 180° opposite of what's intended) ... is cause people to open carry*. Which would be fine with me.

*the practice of openly carrying a firearm on one's person in public.

    Makes perfect since.
    1) Forces one to Display a Weapon, allowing a Quick Panic cop more freedom to Claim " Threat to Life" when unnecessarily killing a J-walker.:glare:
    2) Places the Weapon in a more convenient location for a Quick grab attempt by a real Career Criminal.
    3) forces increased Gun Violence so they can push harder for removal of Hand guns for personal defense.

Sorry, my Father worked for the Navy, Atlantic fleet and had credentials to carry Concealed for over 20yrs. He Showed the utmost Respect and Honor to the Servicemen and women He brought back home for the last time, as well as their families.(USN Decedent Affairs)
Only once in 20yrs. did he feel the need to expose his firearm. In doing so he stopped his own Carjacking, likely saved his own life and possibly Scared the :censored: Teen, who ran away Screaming for his life, into never trying such again.:D

On a personal note - My Dad swore by the Navy(serving with honor/etc.) for Decades. in the late 80's he Saw the shift in government policies and military practices. As things got worse, he became very outspoken that youth should be very careful about deciding to joining the Service.
Government has been on a downhill slide since.
Much of our membership is going , I was just a Kid. Well, I was already in my 30's

(This is actually the response to the request I posted further down. I happened to find it first.)

GAO Report to the Committee on Finance, U.S. Senate September 2015
Regarding the effect ecigs on Federal Excise Tax (FET)
Most of it is "We don't know," but it does say:

"...we found no significant evidence of a decrease in FET revenue from cigarettes at a rate greater than the 6-year historical trend during the time frame when e-cigarettes have been on the U.S. market. We estimate that cigarette FET revenue would need to decrease by an additional $2 million to $3 million per month to signal a significant effect from e-cigarettes."

"If the percentage of high school students using cigarettes continues to decline, and if other factors such as current levels of regulation remain constant, the number of cigarette smokers could dwindle further in the coming years as the current cohort of high school students ages. [This was before the deeming regs.]

"A continued decline in cigarette smoking among high school students—which could be due, in part, to increased use of e-cigarettes—would reduce cigarette FET revenue at a greater rate than the average historical trend."

    http://gao.gov/assets/680/672467.pdf
All that goes down the crapper under deeming. All new inclusives Deemed tobacco Products will Boost FET, along with an increase in Tobacco use for the first time in Years.

So my wife only smoked around 20 cigarettes in her life...

She has never vaped, other than to taste a flavor of mine now and then...
Yet she seemed to summarize this whole mess quite well...

Tobacco plants grow in the ground.
Therefore the Earth is a tobacco product.

And the Milky Way, by association, is also a tobacco product.
And as such, the entire universe is a tobacco product.

And therefore, so is Stephen Hawking and Neil DeGrasse Tyson.

So true, so very true. EVERYTHING is a tobacco product.

That's the dangerous part, DC2. Not weird. Beware. Zeller also sounds like a human being. So does Califf.
Has anyone here considered that Glantz and Zeller might actually be human beings???? I havent, but I'm just wondering if anyone has.

As far as why Glantz sounds human, I can only speculate.

Might this be the only e-liquid approved? Dirty Ashtray - eLiquid Flavor

Dirty Ashtray. A blend of 8 tobacco varieties with a hint of a Real Analog.

The flavor is very realistic to the flavor of a burning cigarette, very similar to the taste of a re-lit cigarette after it has been put out.

I'd kinda like to try that. Probably sucks and would ticked everybody around you off. Still, I'm curious...

The first vendor I know of who carried it was Parkes. Read the reviews, people actually like it. (It's also available from them in a DIY flavoring.)

    Ashtray

ETA: They are going out of business. Their final sale ends June 10 @ midnight EST.

Use code saving for 50% off (DIY excluded)

I don't. Sorry, Les. There's plenty of evidence out there proving beyond any doubt that e-cigarettes are way less harmful than smoking. If he doesn't see it, then he doesn't want to see it.
I've heard him admit in many interviews, that e-cigarettes are less harmful than cigarettes, that's not the issue. He just claims that his meta-studies show that using e-cigs will make it less likely that you will actually quit smoking !

and to think...those people could actually go down in history as heroes of public health by supporting vaping if they REALLY CARED about public health
Have you seen how Glantz carries himself ? He already believes that he is a hero, and so do many others in the field unfortunately. He was a big deal in the 90's. The whistle blower at Brown and Williamson sent the documents showing big tobacco's coverup to him for publication.

Due to our extreme fascination with Glantz and his extreme fascination with and study of vaping, one can only conclude that Glantz is now a tobacco product. He must submit a PMTA, or self-destruct by August 2018.

I can start worrying about 3rd and 4th hand exposures to bad stuff. The idiocy ANTZ promote is bad for people's rationality, probably more than my own, because I have my own phobias, and don't have room for many more.

So you know how the fda won't allow free juice in shops anymore, no samples. Well, how come big tobacco reps come into clubs and bars and give you a free pack or more of cigarettes if you sign up for their mailings.

In California, free alcohol samples are routinely offered in regular supermarkets like Albertson's, Ralph's, Gelson's etc. From beer and wine to scotch. And in California everybody has to drive to get to a grocery store. Doesn't bother anybody.
