Here's the thing: a product not approved through PMTA will be subject to "FDA enforcement". This means seizures for international shipments, just like they tried to do in the Sotera case.

So to think that it will be easy-peazy to just buy your products from fasttech and have them shipped to your home is not realistic, in my humble opinion.

In 2 years when this really hits, I have no doubt there will be active enforcement to shut down the black market.

Authorized channels and supply chain only. Alternatives will in time be criminalized. This is a de facto ban and take-over of an industry. My take. Good luck. :(

Unfortunately, you are 100% correct.

Could someone enlighten me what this means for you guys? (Sorry, I just heard about this 5 minutes ago).

What are "tobacco products"....is a battery/mod like an istick a "tobacco product"?
How could they regulate, say, mods?
(This sounds as absurd to me as someone wanting to regulate ashtrays since they're also "tobacco products")
If this affects makers and vendors of ejuces...does this also affect, say, the sale of Aromas?
How does this affect people like me who buy bases and mix their juices? I mean, even after such crazy "regulations for the sake of saving our children" LOLMAO are in place....getting PG/VG with nicotine will still be possible and so should be getting flavors?

WHAT AN IDIOCY AGAIN by the US gvt....de-facto banning e-cigs and telling millions of vapers go f themselves and buy your Marlboro again...seriously? And when EVER have I seen "cotton candy" flavored aromas marketed to children? NEVER EVER. Those people are so far from reality...and it's clear that Big Tobacco has their hands in there. It defies any logic, not less than "transgenders in the wrong bathroom" issue.
Yes, they can regulate any "component part". From what I'm reading, that's pretty broad (and no, I haven't read nor digested all 200+ pages of this thing yet).

Frankly, it would be hard to regulate PG and VG, especially VG since it has other uses (skin moisturizer). Nicotine is a different story.

EDIT: Also, on the live vaping blog, on page 222 the deeming also appears to cover zero-nicotine eliquid as well. I haven't confirmed that yet, just reposting.

Order placed (nicotine and a new dual-18650 box mod), emails sent to POTUS, senators and representative, and phone call comment to WH made. I think I may just call and leave a comment every darn day. Idiots, I won't accept quit-or-die.
We all need to have this mentality.

If an eliquid producer has the hundreds of thousands of dollars to submit applications, do testing, scientific analysis and so on and so on, they'll survive. But as for local shops who produce their own juice lines, they don't.
Not to mention the new taxes that will be imposed and no one will be able to afford juice just as they couldn't afford cigarettes and looked at vaping as a cheaper, albeit healthier, alternative.
Not to mention the countless other effects these regulations will cause.
Just a very sad day here, guys.

So if I understand correctly, there is a 90 day grace period? I'll try to read more later. So I wonder how much stuff they'll be able to stop from coming into the country from china.
I see you are a WTA person as I was. That is what got me over the ciggies TOTALLY. I guess Aroma is totally screwed. Once again the middle class gets the big screw!

Yep. On page 222 of the deeming doc, zero nic is in-scope:

"Also, as stated earlier, nicotine-free e-liquid that is intended or reasonably expected to be used with or for the human consumption of tobacco products in most cases would be a component or part of a tobacco product and,
therefore, within the scope of this rule. These products will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.

But it would still be very hard to regulate VG and after 5 years of vaping that's all I need to stay happy.
