Have you got a link to that? Great news to read.

Edit: Tried a Google search, only interesting thing I found was that Pence statement on tobacco was "smoking doesn't kill. Government regulation kills."

It's a FB link wasn't sure if I could post that here. If you are on FB, join the group Not Blowing Smoke. It's on there. [emoji3]

And alot of people in the vaping community are worried about Pence. I talked to a successful multiple shop owner in Greensboro awhile back and he said that Pence had offered the community in Indiana a watered down and more useable alternative to the regulations and taxes that they were slapped with. The Indiana shop owners refused to compromise and rejected it, thus getting stuck with the plan they have now which is much worse. This is second hand info so not sure how true it is.

Pence was never involved, he just signed the dotted line. If there had been a deal offered that would have been very big news here. Funny how events become stories that get changed the farther they travel. :)

Might be worth doing some Searching for how Reince Priebus stands on e-Cigarettes.

He still signed it. He sucks. He could've vetoed it. I pray to God Trump stays alive while in office.

If the president elect focuses on the big picture and has the Washington savvy VP handle the legislative details, much like George W. Bush did with Dick Cheney, then Mike Pence is in the drivers seat regarding vaping regulation. I don't expect them to do anything to the deeming regs at all.
Well, that's kind of a stretch. The HHS secretary will have the most influence IMO.

IMO, had Hillary won there would have been zero chance the Deeming Regs would be scaled back or rescinded. I do not believe there is a regulation she did not like. With Trump winning, I feel there is at least a decent chance. Not iron clad, but at least decent. I'm sure every department head will be given explicit instructions to review all regulations in their area of responsibility and especially those enacted during the Obama administration. In fact, reviewing regulations across our government will be top priority in the Trump administration. Just my opinion.

I believe this is only in regards to the little rule that they published saying they would have a streamlined path for rejecting applications based on them not being complete, not being in English, etc.

Trying to figure all this out and I think you are correct. Damn, my heart went *kerthunk* for a minute. Talk about an adrenaline rush.

Oh well, I had a happy moment.... for a moment.

I guess the FDA was Wrong... Again.

If it's any consilation, I saw Republican House Leader Kevin McCarthy on CNN this morning saying that they were asking the president elect to issue an official edict to all agencies to not begin enforcing any new regulations.

Edit: I guess they were asking Obama not to impliment any new regs before his term expires. Still could be good news in that they are already addressing regulation repeals.

The window of opportunity has passed for Obama to issue new regs without fear of them being rejected easily. There is a 60 day window in which new regs can be shot down before becoming law so he likely got all the stuff that means the most to him passed already. Does not mean he can't issue new ones, just that it is much easier to get rid of them within the 60 day limit. Not sure if Trumps memo has teeth.

Well, if Obama had a pen and a phone, Trump can use his eraser and hang up. ;)

For a smile, and nothing more.......
