I agree that putting Toucan Sam on a juice bottle is stupid in this climate, not wrong but stupid.

However, the juul product is just a product, just because it is popular with a younger crowd doesnt mean they should not sell it. Hell, its popular with adults too. I dont see any problem with selling that product, except its too expensive for the refills.

Beer is popular with the younger crowd too........
How is this any different?

Is capitulating?

And this is a cause you, personally, are willing to lose vaping over?

I'd go so far to claim that sleek, technical, apple-ish product design would attract teens even more than specifically "for kids" packaging. They want to appear as grown ups and wouldn't want to be caught dead with "for kids" products. I know I didn't need to have winnie the pooh on cigarette packs to start smoking.

Making juice packaging appealing to consumers isn't "giving ammo", it's what every single industry that sells to the consumer market does. They have as much ammo as they want. It's the packaging now but if that proves to be an ineffective strategy it will be something else. There's no shortage of things they can choose to attack. Flavors, nicotine strength, refillability, external batteries, fancy mod/tank design, device size, nic salts for less throat hit... to name a few.
the JUUL product is just a product, just because it is popular with a younger crowd doesnt mean they should not sell it
Of course, but it's a prime example of packaging not being responsible for the popularity as claimed.
And this is a cause you, personally, are willing to lose vaping over?
That's not what vaping is lost over. That's the current iteration of their argument. What will vaping be "lost over" next? Choose from the list I gave above ;)

So basically your of the opinion that anything the anti vapers hold up as "proof" that vaping is bad should stop being made or sold.

So, no more sweet dessert flavors.

No more cute names for ejuice.

No more low wattage high nicotine devices.

No more cute packaging to remind someone of flavors they enjoyed in their youth.

No more flavors of any kind unless its tobacco.

No more access to low wattage vape products in gas stations or convenience stores..

Big tobacco should be the only ones allowed to sell vaping devices.

There should only be allowed closed systems for vaping.

All vape products should have integrated batteries

Did I miss anything? We are saving the children after all and agreeing not to do anything "bad"...

I'm pointing out the ever changing goal posts...

If we agree with the anti vapers every time they say something about vaping appeals to kids or is otherwise harmful then we will not be vaping long.

We all know the flavors and packaging is about selling to adults by reminding them of flavors they loved in their youth..

Taste and smell are the biggest memory triggers there are.. Manufacturers are banking on selling based on happy memories.

I know this.. but you are stating that anything we do that gives "ammunition" to the anti vapers should simply be put to a grinding screeching halt...

I'm just pointing out that road leads to vaping being completely taken over by BT and what's left of vaping will help no one quit smoking ..

No, I'm not okay with that because I'm assuming they didn't get permission to use the character, or to have a similar name. If they did, I'm actually perfectly okay with it. My issue would be the legal IP/Copyright/Trademark thing. I'm an adult, I'm creeping up on 40, I like cartoons. I'm currently drinking coffee from a TMNT mug.

I also don't think the second label is "capitulating" because I don't care if a company chooses to have a more "adult" label. I don't care if they have a plain brown label with just text on it, though it probably wouldn't stand out to me on a shelf.

My problem is with "vaping advocates" attacking the vapor industry for perceived transgressions that we all know are BS. "We" are reinforcing the lies, and that will never be a good thing.

Yes... This is what Some are willing to do.
Are you choosing not to comprehend what is being said, or just being smug?

I'm speaking to you..

Not making strawman arguments.. I'm pointing out where agreeing with lies will take us, all of us.

I'm done talking though.. you have proved to me it's pointless..

The truth is apparently meaninglees to vaping "advocates"

Heck if this is advocacy we don't need enemies. Ill stock up and mind my own.. and pray you all don't destroy vaping too fast.

So How Far are you Willing to take your Crusade for 'Truth"?

Are you Willing to Alienate the Few Members of Congress that are Pro-Vaping?

And BTW - How are you Determining what the Truth actually is?

Which ones, so far, that don't immortalize FDA authority in legislation based on this fiction of vaping is tobacco and for the children?

Just sayin.

Good luck, signed RVW. :)

Hate to say it. But I think the e-liquids that contain Nicotine derived from Tobacco are Not Tobacco Products ship has Sailed.

I'd be Worried about being able to Continue to buy Flavored e-liquids myself. Because that is the 2 Lane Bridge we are heading for Right Now.

And 2020 is right around the Corner.

Give an inch.......

First they came for the packaging, and I did not speak out—

Because I was not concerned about packaging.

Then they came for non tobacco flavors, and I did not speak out—

Because I didn't use non tobacco flavors.

Then they came for high mg nicotine, and I did not speak out—

Because I did not use high mg nicotine.

Then they came for high power devices, and I did not speak out—

Because I did not use high power devices.

Then they came for my vape—and there was no one left to speak for me.

3. Smoke contains MAO inhibitors (he knew what they do) and there's no smoke so vaping nicotine is magnitudes less addictive in vapor than in smoke.

That (MAOI inhibitors) was the toughest to get over. You know, that almost instant calm that comes over you from the first smoke of the day.
