but basically the market here freezes in 90 days, no new anything can be introduced into the current market without FDA approval.
And the FDA will probably be screening for bogus applications that didn't have much work put into them, that are trying to squeeze out an extra year on the cheap. Likely, there will be very few legitimate applications because of the extreme expense. Therefore, almost everything would be wiped out from the market after two years, and who knows what kind stuff would be the ones that can stay an extra year. Might only be BT cig-a-likes.#14. 3 years only if a pmta was filed. Without filing a pmta, 2 years.
I have 500 ft of rayon from Sally's ,, i am sure you guys have some sort of supplier out there like them.. considering i am using about an inch per wick,,,,,,i have a lifetime supply at $16Some of us Aussie vapers have been using unbleached organic rayon as a wicking material. The cheapest and easiest way to source this rayon is buy purchasing a box of Kotex tampons from the supermarket.
Yes, we are vaping tampons
I know worrying about sourcing wicking material is waaaay down on your list of concerns, but I just thought I'd mention it as it's pretty unlikely the FDA will regulate the sale of Kotex! I expect other novel work-arounds will come to light for the hardcore DIYers.
It could hurt by wasting money, time, energy and any other expended resources if unsucessful.I hope so. Either way, that is just their opinion. It has worked in the past and I sure don't understand how it could hurt to try.
I've been thinking about this a lot today. We're all still processing...and it's really frustrating knowing that everything is being handled behind the scenes. Aside from all of the reaching out to our local reps, it seems like we should be doing more. The 2 things I'm not seeing much about:
1) Raising money. We have to do this on a massive scale...and I'm kind surprised that this isn't being discussed. I have no doubt that it is behind the scenes, but this should probably be step #1 in my view. I just can't think of anything else that is worth a damn compared to this. Except maybe:
2) Organizing everyone in the industry. I'm not sure how this is going to be done, but it needs to be accomplished fast. When these orgs finally release an action plan about raising that money and advocacy...I really hope the coordination is across the board. Not sure how to herd these cats, but we need a leader right now. And whoever that is better cowboy the eff up and do it.
but but but .... gatewaySure they will still be available. They contain no nic, give off no vapor or smoke.

#16 is the real killer, if accurate. Maybe they meant that until something's been denied, or some enforcement action's been taken, litigation is highly unlikely to suceed.
Best to take gambles that have high potential for sucess and/or high payoff if successful.True but, we would never know the outcome if we didn't try. taking a case to court is always a gamble.

The FDA would say this is evidence of your having been exposed to nicotine in your teens, and the resulting brain damage.
Nicotine causes permanent damage in young brains

The people that actually think that applying will get them somewhere. At 300k+ per application..... funds a lot of leg workers.
Remember, they don't give the money back to the applicants if they fail.
As long as the product being imported is not a new product introduced after August 8,2016 or after 2 years as long as the producer of the product has FDA approval for that product. When will imports and delivery by mail of vaping supplies be halted? I am assuming b&m will still be able to get product from overseas..
Most of the brain damage victims are in politics.Yes, Millions and millions of Adults are DainBramaged.....but only the ones that Smoked![]()

Perhaps there will be a three month period of extremely accelerated development and releases of all kinds of new gizmos! The high watts contest has been thrown a dagger![]()
Yes but you are talking retail/selling of those products. My statement was aimed at individuals possessing/using the devices.I didn't think they were, I was under the impression that ATF enforced non-compliance, but I'm not so sure now.
"We have a very effective office of compliance and enforcement that will be monitoring and conducting surveillance to detect any kind of illegal activity in the marketplace," he says. "I have no idea what the likelihood is for a black market, but if that happens we'll find it and those products, if they haven't received marketing authorization from FDA, would be in violation of the law." - Mitch Zeller, director of the FDA's Center for Tobacco Products FDA
