From what I have read the FDA will not concern themselves with anything DIY
initially. I am not aware as of yet anything in the reg's specifically curtailing the
sale of nic-base. What i know the FDA did say is they are at this time not even
concerned with black market sales. While just referring to the cigarette black market
as a guide they do not expect the black market to exceed 10% of the total market.

However the FDA via the deeming regs also stated they reserve the right to change
or modify anything they deem necessary to effectively control and regulate tobacco
products. I suspect as long as DIY and or the Back market doesn't result in the
situation that occurred during prohibition they may just ignore the segments
under the guise of saying ,see we didn't ban e-cigs. Even in light of the fact there
will be little if any legitimate e- cig market left.

The bottom line is if the FDA deems it necessary to get rid of DIY and or the black market
they will. The process to effectively do this either are already in place or in the process
of coming on line.(think homeland security)
Regards
Mike
Also you need to take into consideration local and state authorities. They will use FDA regulations to perform any massive bans, tax's, etc. They can and will use it to literally send in the SWAT team when ever they feel like it, they've been doing this with Organic Farm CoOps.

These rules have a very sinister purpose, all to protect the status quo.

Excuse me Qew, but you are in the wrong forum, we put NIC in our juice here. ;)
Both of my parents smoked around me from birth, I started smoking when I was 14, I was/am one of those adolescent victims I guess.

I think when enlightening people about the Final Rule and when contacting our representatives it might be worth adding this...

During the time the current regulations were being drafted, FDA Commissioner Margaret Hamburg allegedly used the agency to get a dangerous drug approved, even though it had serious and sometimes deadly side effects, to generate millions of dollars in illegal drug company profits for her husband’s hedge fund company.

Former FDA Commissioner in Massive Conspiracy and Rackeetering Lawsuit | Federal Charges.com 2016

I would also add that while Glaxo-Smith-Kline is the license holder of Nicorette, the manufacturer is a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, the same company that Hamburg is accused of helping, and they do all the marketing internationally.

Somehow I'm not too worried about BT. ;)

Oh Tweety, just because they're the only ones manufacturing anything identical to what was available in Feb. 2007... ;)

Seriously though, I am now starting to wonder. With all the onerous testing the FDA has tacked on, will BT even be able to pass through with SE?

Full pressure needs to be put on the Democratic Party. From the head of the DNC on down they have been pushing to kill Vaping and pressure on any Democrat who doesn't follow the Party policy against Vaping. So insure you really push any Democrat in your area to end their assault against Vaping.

Yes this is bizarre, traditionally it's been the GOP who have been in the pockets of Big Tobacco. Personally I believe it's more about the money they're loosing in tobacco tax's to be the main motivation. In any case we need to put a full court press on the Democratic party to end their assault against Vaping.

Dems tend to be in the pocket of Pharma. Every one that has thrown a fuss over vapor has had their donations checked, chock full of pharma, medical and law firms that work for the industry.

Will BT even be able to pass through with SE?

Cigalikes will, but that's not a problem, since if you get tired of crappy cigalikes that didn't work well back in 2007, then BT will happily sell you tobacco cigarettes. Win Win.

Sorry I did not have time to listen to Kevin's show as of yet... so it is not until tomorrow at 2pm est?

He said he wasn't exactly sure of the time, although I'm still listening to the broadcast. I don't know what time his show is regularly on.

They wouldn't need to if all competition folds. They can just keep selling cigarettes.

It's a good article but there's more information in the broadcast.

Me too. I'm listening to a rebroadcast of today's show and he said Siegel will be on tomorrow.

Now I'm getting confused, and I've already seen it!

Edit. Maybe this will help, I meant I watched the WhiteCloud Webinar, it will be rebroadcast on VPLive.

My laptop will be considered a tobacco product because I sometimes spill e-liguid on it. Seriously though the DIY crowd will be left alone except for nicotine.

Just don't plug your e-cig into your laptop to re-charge, FDA will seize your laptop... :)
