Well, there was that ONE... for snus, that PROVED that the pathway is viable. How much did that one cost Swedish Match?

Yeah. It was a piece of Cake... 100,000 pages Later.

Though I understand what you're saying, not exactly the one to hold up as an example since they filed the required paperwork for the Modified Risk category. And still, after decades of studies, they were only allowed a PMTA, rather than the MRTPA they were seeking.

That's exactly what we were saying, through sarcasm.

My point is that the PMTA process for ALL tobacco products is ridiculous, the MRTP even more so. We've been hoping and pleading with the FDA to go easy on vaping. I'm not sure if they could if they had wanted to, but it's pretty obvious they didn't want to. Our strategy has been to bombard them with science that proves that vaping is less harmful than cigarettes, the same people who manufacture/fund the junk science that "proves" vapor products are a threat to public health.

And bring back Tom Baker to kick around a bit more
I liked Tom Baker... as long as he's wearing that scarf and hat, we're good.

Or maybe I'm getting my Tom Bakers confused :)

Has to be a different Tom Baker. The one being discussed has been moved on since June 2014.

This is starting to feel like I am rubber-necking at a huge multi-car pile up of cars going 70mph on the interstate. I need a break. I am bailing on this thread for a few days, I will be back in time for the next CTA.

You should, it's an excellent series. I started with the modern one that's on season 9 now, but it spans back 50+ years.

I started the series with Tom Baker, all the more reason the OTHER one irritated me. The Doctor was all about seeing the danger in all it's complexities before anyone else had a clue about what was going on, the other guy? Not so much. :p

I found the "no need to worry" /paraphrase / member but all is well. A very nice turn around and I congratulate this action.

BTW, a few pages back I think someone posted that their B&M geek told them that 150 injunctions have been filed. Baloney! Probably what the geek was told to say by the owner. One legal action so far (Nicopure/Halo) and we collectively have enough members watching that we would know the details before the ink is even dry. Not to mention, if you sue you tell the world for obvious reasons, not the least of which is your user base feels all warm and fuzzy. :) More to arrive sooner rather than later. That much I'm sure of before I take my nap! /lol

Stay strong! Fight!

What if ALL suppliers refused to comply with FDA approval and marched forward? Wouldnt that put more pressure onto the FDA to create a path that is reasonable? I understand the legal consequences but it would create such a .... storm of negative controversy against the FDA solidifying suppliers unified stand against them.

Just a thought.

Also why would ppl need to have FDA approval for Chineses manufactured technology? Shouldnt US govt be enforcing such FDA on those manufacturers themselves and not just the middle man?

Thank you for letting us know the truth. I will make sure I correct any that I find :)

I wrote something about it in the yellow stickied thread, but added the caveat that I hadn't confirmed and it was a rumor. I try to remember lessons learned. ;)
