It was just too funny for me to pass up ...and it made you smile too, so that's got to be good anyway! :)

Absolutely! ...Laugh in the face of adversity, even if it does make you weep inside! If nothing else, it'll make us feel better:

You think I'm kidding? Did you see this gem from CDC?

http://www.ecigadvanced.com/blog/wp...Campaign-Recruitment-Flyer-All-Conditions.pdf

We are also looking for ex-smokers (age 20–60) who: ... • For at least a year, used e-cigarettes or smokeless tobacco while continuing to smoke some cigarettes; and • Thought using e-cigarettes or smokeless tobacco to cut back on some cigarettes would be good for your health; and • Despite cutting back, you were later diagnosed with a serious health condition.

It took me about an Hour to get All the Spit off my computer monitor when I first saw that.

The question remains, however, how much PG/VG can be safely inhaled, day in and day out, in rather large doses, for months, years? So far, after almost 10 years of use, we haven't seen any adverse effects. But it's still early.

Inhalation of PG studies go back to the DOW Chemical studies - some back to 1947 as regards to the workers in their factories that make PG (and VG). There has been no adverse effects. I've posted the link several times here - don't have it at hand. But these ARE long term studies.

But my point was that there are no PG containing inhalers, asthma or otherwise, in this country, so we should stop making that argument. And vapor is not just water vapor (I wish Greg Gutfeld would stop saying that every time he talks about e-cigs).
Hold on not so fast. In one of the good Dr. F's studies pertaining to the composition in e-cigarette cartridges Water had the highest concentration of any ingredient found.
Back at the time PG would have been the main carrier base.VG could have been a
component but, I am unsure of that.

PG is hygroscopic (VG is too) and absorbs water relative to the humidity in the air.
With a temperature range between 60 to 80 F and a relative humidity of 30%
the water content would be between 8.xx to 9.xx % naturally. This one reason
why it's used to keep Twinkies moist and as a carrier and active ingredient in hand
lotions. It not only holds water but attracts moisture. Of course barometric pressure,
volume exposed to the air and actual water content along with the time factor of absorption
play a part too.

Most juice makers actually add water to the mix to maintain viscosity and it enhances
vapor production depending on the mix's other ingredients and or amount there of.
Ranges from 2 to 3 % up to 20 % have been used the average being about 8%.
Water content typically are not indicated as in the amounts used could
change depending on environmental conditions and as there are no inherent health
risks with distilled water aside from drowning in it why bother. Even with out water
your juice is going to have water in it. Typically 2-3%.

When e-juice is heated the first component to vaporize is the water. What you see
in a pot of boiling water is visible evaporation of the water in a pre gaseous state or
Water that was in a gaseous state returning to water. Water in its gaseous state is invisible.
This atomizes and carries the base liquid and the components in it and is mixed further
with the air as you inhale which contains additional water. This is also why your juice
may taste different from bottle to bottle from time to time. Check the relative humidity
in the air. It changes constantly. I learned this mixing paint in a commercial setting.
One does not make a product that performs identically in each and every application
every time and every where it is used. It is made to consistently work in a range of
temperature and humidity settings and other environmental factors with in the range
of specifications listed on the label. Water in juice does this rather nicely.
Basically when we inhale or exhale on our PVD's what we see is water with the amount of the base mix
it is able to carry.

That is why in cigalike carto's you find more water content. They typically add more
water to enhance shelf life (maintain water content when stored in arid conditions) and for product performance in any part of the world they may be used. Within a certain extent of course.
All factors cannot be accounted for.

So saying it's just water may technically not true,it's truer than we think. It's vaporized
water carrying other compounds.
Regards
Mike

Or vote for an administration that will gut the FDA and get some common sense people in there to run it.
Not that any President would have an easy time doing that, but the buck stops at the top for the FDA. The President.

I keep reading that the FDA has no evidence that vaping leads to smoking cessation. Has anyone tried collecting data from users such as starting a thread on ecf, asking certain questions and putting that info into a log/chart/graph? I know CASAA is super busy right now but if we had thousands of names/contacts that can attest to their quitting tobacco, it should help in future endeavors. Would this be a good idea and if so, could someone with the skills take this on, if ecf agrees? I am no good with pie charts and all that stuff but I am certain we have folks with mad skills on this forum.

Perhaps Mt Baker and other vendors could request the info from their consumers and compile data to add to the list.

Lots of stuff kinda like that has been done, and there are good studies showing vaping has great success for smoking cessation. FDA is ignoring all that, for politcal reasons.

So true, they are creating enough hurt on/in themselves. Not to mention which of us was not previously one our self?
And they've been abused by Government, Public Health organizations, organizations and corporations that contribute to political campaigns, corrupt scientists, and by society. And the abuse has been escalating for years and years, and continues to, even today.

Nope. I don't want to join in the pile-on.

Robino, that is what I assumed and I see lots of other sites with testimonials. I guess I am asking how we can get this info to the public and/or combat their misinformation. I know nothing is going to change the FDA's opinion internally, they don't care is right.

What amazes me is all this regulation for something they say might be harmful while all the commercials advertising various prescription drugs list so many possible side effects, including death. Brainless..
If you pay the right people then causing death is acceptable.
If you don't pay the right people than being nearly harmless is not enough.

I don't think it would be hard at all honestly. Put in a guy to head up the DHHS who will get an FDA administrator to tear up those regulations. It really wouldn't take much at all.

Good point. The testimonials should be released to a site that is absolutely public that we can then link to.

It's like many have said. This isn't about whether vaping is a good or bad thing. It's about money and power.

...but some people react like what they are hearing is the product of the mind of an addict...
This is probably the most evil part of what they have done to us...
    Rampant Antismoking Signifies Grave Danger

    THE ‘BLUEPRINT’ SUMMARY:

Demonize the tobacco industry. Eradicate all industry advertising. The tobacco industry will be portrayed as always evil, public health as always good. Public health is always right - anyone questioning public health will be smeared (argument ad hominem) as a tobacco industry shill or sympathizer/apologist, i.e., wrong by association.
Smoking will be punished through taxation and the removal of smoking-permitted areas. Any reference to smoking/smokers will always be negative and never positive. Smoking will always be referred to as abnormal behavior. Smoking will be depicted as a non-normal or abnormal behavior. Smokers would be depicted, in a wholly derogatory sense, as ‘nicotine addicts’: Smoking would be ‘reduced’ to no more than nicotine addiction. In short, nonsmokers are ‘superior’, smokers are ‘inferior’.
