I don't have the $, or the gear to make something like this work by myself, but I'd be happy to kick some ideas around with people who DID.
Let's see what we can come up with.

With all the reviewers in this industry, there must be someone that can at the very least do the recording of the ads.

New cottage industry, advertising under x amount of dollars

Or it's some poor intern with a list of copy / paste answers. Imagine that as a soul destroying job, for many reasons.

*even if it's a bot, I'm sure it is an unhappy bot.
A group of volunteer moderators with some FAQBot shortcuts?

Kinda like the canned replies we get from our messages to, what are supposed to be, our representatives.
My favorite so far, posted to the We Are CASAA group a couple days ago, a response from McCain saying he is taking your opinion under consideration and urging you to submit your comments to the FDA before the public comment period ends in June of 2015.

I love the NBS ads, they look good, great information. I've recently realized, with pretty much everything we do, vapers are the only ones who see them.

And that was the biggest  comment I have ever seen. Talk about out of touch with reality.

sadly true and we don't need to be convinced :(

    You'd think so, wouldn't you?
At this point, the clock is ticking
I guess I should have said, most of us don't need to be convinced. There are those that still think everything will be fine in the end because a black market will grow to replace what we have today. I, for one, would have no idea as to how to maneuver through any kind of black market so am hoping, praying and fighting to keep it from coming to that.

I think these are fantastic. The sad part is the FDA would say, "you can't say that vaping made him healthier or saved his life because only a drug can do that." Heck read the back of a vitamin it has a FDA disclaimer on it that basically says this product cannot claim to make you healthier. Why? Because there is no money to be made on the backs of healthy citizens.

Sorry. I picked up my Evic VTC mini this morning and I just got mad: why am I being made to feel like a criminal for quitting smoking! PS: 2 months no stinkes after 15 years PAD.
    Congratulations on being quit!

I don't think you are alone in that, I would venture to say the vast majority of vapers would not participate in a black market of an kind for a wide variety of reasons, and, I do not think a black market will be as viable as some think it will be all said and done, every time I hear someone is not worried what will happen because there will be a black market to count on just makes me  yeah..... um ..no

We SHOULD have been doing them all along. This has been a propaganda war, from the start, and we've known that regs were coming for at least the last couple of years.
Guys like Bill Godshall, and Clive Bates, and the rest have done yeoman's work getting the FACTS out there, but they needed, and still need OUR help to get the message out to the public at large. We've ALL (vapers, manufacturers, and suppliers) been busy in our own little corners, while our lives, and our livelihoods have been under attack. It may not be too late, but if it isn't, it's damn close.

Black Markets aren't what you think. I'm not saying it will be anything like as easy at it is now, but going to a foreign site, dropping $50 on a bottle of nic base and hoping it makes it through customs, that's the black market most are talking about.

From the day that I found out that vaping was in danger, I have been active in all Calls to Action. I've even tried to get people on board with a little project a few of years ago. It went okay but didn't really help in getting attention to the media like we wanted it to do.

There are many of us that have been very active. As most of us are clueless as to what to do, we have relied on organizations to help us get started.

I have been writing my reps for years. Absolutely have not gotten anything back except for the canned responses that look so similar to what everyone else gets back from different states.

We can only fight in ways that we know how to fight.

The whole damn system is broken. That is the problem.

IMO the folks talking about the black market, or laying in enough DIY supplies to last a lifetime are already GIVING UP

Would have been nice if the video reviewers had of been doing more of this before they have nothing to review.

Not sure if folks noticed, but that Billion Lives group does seem to be strategically seeking change through visibility. They were initially blocked on Facebook - they had banners or something that were banned, violating TOS for promoting a tobacco product.
They argued, generated social response, and got Facebook to change it, as they aren't promoting a product at all.

The 30-second promos are a great idea. But TV is exhorbitantly expensive, because it only WORKS if you put the message in front of people OVER AND OVER. Think about the ads you see all the time. Those are the ones that work. I doubt anyone in the vaping industry has millions of dollars to invest in an awareness campaign on TV. They SHOULD - rather than spend it on FDA applications...but...well...the only people with that kind of funding are the ones we're fighting against.

I still think these should be made. But we'll have to try to make them viral, online.

And I hope Billion Lives, at some critical point when we need it, will become generally available to view in it's entirety, free online, too. Something we could all point to, and say "watch this - it will change your perspective on vaping". I haven't seen it of course, but early signs seem to say that it's convincing, feels unbiased and true, and blows up all the BS put forth by BT and the FDA.

Oh... not giving up by any means. We just have seen the way the government has been operating for years.

For the first time, I am actually starting to stock up. I truly thought that all the testimonials, all the meetings with the FDA and all the other things we have done, would make a difference. Obviously the FDA Does. Not. Care.

I am still fighting, my god....I donate to every damn thing. I am keeping an eye on any news about a march on Washington. We throw ideas about PR around and TRY to come up with SOMETHING.... ANYTHING....

I am still stocking up but by no means does that even CONVEY that I am giving up.

Until we start changing those perceptions, we're going to have approximately zero traction politically, and our only recourse will be through the courts.
How Much Does Television Advertising Really Cost?
Local television stations typically charge from $200 to $1,500 to create a 30-second commercial. National commercials produced by an advertising agency cost far more, averaging $342,000 for a 30-second spot in 2008, according to the American Association of Advertising Agencies.

Most TV stations, and cable providers have special rates (even free) for public service announcements from non-profit organizations.
The spots can be produced "in house", or maybe with some help from the local community college, for virtually nothing...
If it's a money issue, I'd be willing to throw in a few bucks, when the hat gets passed.
C'mon you cheapskates. Buck up! Vaping has saved us all some money, it's time to put some of it to good use!
