I wonder how much 100mg nic base, I can afford to buy, between now, and when they start really clamping down?
I believe it has a shelf life of a year. (Or so mine says on the bottle). So the biggest issue is storage. A 100mg liter bottle will give me 5-6 liters of finished liquid. Not sure I'll live that long. :w00t:

Regardless, I'm not getting too far ahead of myself. China will always sell it. They'll just label it as Vegetable Glycerin, freeze dried carp or some such nonsense.

I hope they don't mind me pasting this part here but this is what was stated:
"We thought about these changes to devices and looked at the data of how many people use these levels and we decided to make the changes sooner rather than later.

We hope this does not inconvenience anyone. With the FDA deeming regulations coming out recently, there may be a possibility of more changes in the future. We think making changes now will help our customers for the future of vaping.
"

There have been a few companies that I am aware of that are making changes right away like this, also, doing away with some flavors, flash sales and deep discounts of merchandise, jacking up prices and doing away with their B&M in favor of online only sales, I think we have only seen the very beginning of this.

My goats are weed eaters. I lost one over the winter and was considering rehoming the one I had left, until I realized that without him I would have to keep the back clear by myself. Uh, no. They don't like to be alone, so today I got him a friend.
Are you goats Cubs fans?

If it was on a leash or in a shopping cart PetSmart would love to have a goat visit. I used to work there. Unfortunately, they don't sell goat food.
I thought everything was goat food? Remember that goat in Mayberry that ate TNT?

Just don't get the "best price" on 100 mg nic.
Because if it's got a bad taste, that's like buying 555 thirty ml bottles of bad 6 mg e-juice...
It's worth a few bucks more to get a brand that you like - or that's highly recommended...
Just had to point that out.
Some nic has a peppery taste, some nic has a reputation for a very "clean" taste. It matters in your DIY.
It seems one of the best price places is also one of the most recommended. I haven't tried the nic though. Actually I haven't tried any DIY at all. I have a bottle of nude armor in my freezer that I bought a while back, but I bought just for reserve purposes, and specifically so I could just put it straight in the freezer. Can't afford the armor this time around, because I want more than 500ml.

Kept in dark glass in the freezer, at least one of our resident chemists says he believes it may keep indefinitely.

Whether there are other uses or not, you can buy the exact Samsung batteries on amazon for half the price you would get them at the vape shop.
4 for $20, instead of 1 for $15 or 'special price' 2 for $20.

Same with LG and Sony batteries.

They don't put them up there just for us vapers.
Oh yes you can buy high discharge cells cheap Illumn.com - Flashlights, Batteries, Carry Gear, Intelligent LED Lighting, and More! Maybe not from Amazon but there are other sources that are not vape related selling high drain 18650 batteries.

Yes, I think there's a few here that can attest to first hand experience for about 4 years so far.

But with my luck, Mrs. Kodiak would thaw it out and use it for a soup base.

....and unfortunately by all accounts (ok some accounts ;) a lot of the high drain 18650 batteries being sold on Amazon are fakes, so that is the one thing I tend to avoid buying from there.

But the link provided - illumn - that's a trusted vendor.
I don't think we'll have any difficulty getting batteries...or wire, or glass bottles, or PG or VG.
It's nic and mods that will be the issue.
And I don't EXPECT we'll have any trouble with mods from China - it's just that China tends to copy others, and those others won't have as much incentive to keep innovating when they can't sell in the U.S.

I know I was just saying too about buying batteries from Amazon...:)
I am not going to count on the ease of mods or supplies from china, I am not going to count on being able to get things you want/need from much of anyone after 8/8/16, the market is just going to become more unstable and dwindle as time goes on.

I thought anything on the market can stay on the market for 2 years before it is either approved or removed from the market. That would give us until 8-8-18. Am I missing something?

Just because something CAN stay on the market, does not mean it WILL. I expect a lot of vendors will decide it's not worth it and just sell of their stock and move on. How long that will take, I'm not sure.

I think a lot of businesses will go out long before 8/8/16.
For many the mainstay that paid the rent was their own eliquid line, which after 8/8/16 will make them a tobacco manufacturer and the Federal government will have something to say about that along with the states. The law requires that everyone who intends to manufacture, import or export tobacco products obtain a permit from TTB, not an easy process, states require license/permits for sales of tobacco products and there are zoning requirements to comply with, so even selling other manufacturer's eliquids will be much more difficult, this is going to eliminate even more retailers.
