What consumer chit chat? It is clear discussion of vaping vendors is prohibited here. It would seem consumers would like to discuss vendors. Who has better deals? Who offers better selection? Who stands behind products? How do the products get used? What are different ways to use products creating better experience? Almost all of that kind of discussion would at some point reference vendors.

Got this advertising ban in the TPD2 as well - been/and still gets discussed in EU-based vaper forums.
But the TPD2 is just about a half-baked as FDA deeming regs and local governments aren't done yet putting meat on the bones.

Some forums have stopped advertisements already as most of the smaller one are run by enthusiasts on a shoe-string budget who certainly won't be able to afford some shysters trying to squeeze a fast buck off them r engage in any legal tussles.

Consensus is that it puts you tubers in a tight spot if they review anything they got for free.
Cuz a malicious lawyer or an agency of the same mindset could call it advertising as said you tuber has - no matter how indirect - a monetary gain.

The very moment it's paid for it is what it says : a review - personal opinion.
Covered by free speech.

So posts discussing stuff always start with a disclaimer that its personal opinion - plus there is private mails and messaging. Free speech again.

"software" is included in the deeming regs.....

So? :D

Upload to Chinese server. Or anywhere else outside USA.

What's the FDA gonna do ? Send in the Marines ?

Same with international shipping. DHL alone ships 2.6 million parcels - per day.

Add the other biggies on the market like UPS FedEx TNT what have you and you proably look at triple that number.
I think US customs has bigger fish to fry than liquids.

I do not Believe US Government can hurt ECF with Vendor Bans. However Oliver may have to make some adjustments to Viewing Access.

ECF is already an OVER 18 site and That meets Advertising Age restriction. Implementation of Member Age Verification may become a necessity.........Though none of this is relevant to US Vendor Members if there is nothing left to Advertise.

Would like to see a petition started and people pushing legislators for a new law that bans any company that is currently engaged in the manufacture of combustible tobacco products from also manufacturing E-Cigarette products or related components as well as prevent individuals who have vested interests in said companies from having interests in E-Cigarette companies for the good of public health since said companies have:

: Proven unreliable track record in protecting the health of their customers
: Have a monetary incentive to see these alternative nicotine delivery systems fail
ECT... fill in the rest.

This is one regular people might think is a reasonable step not allowing BT into this market.

That'd be fun to watch, but unfortunately it's unrealistic.
No legal grounds, plus it's too late.
Tobacco companies already bought their e-cigarette companies.

Your probably right but as I see it the FDA just regulated thousands of small mom & pop's outta business so I have no sympathy if mega billion dollar BT loses they're investment in ecig companies.

I'd like to see a Law that requires when a House or Senate Member argues For/Against or Votes on a Bill, that they have to were a Jacket with Logo's on it from Companies that they have received Money From.

Something like this...

ECF didn't have any advertisers to speak of when it began
LOL..maybe Oliver will just fire some admins and moderators..

Well he could do that but it wouldn't help financially.
We don't get paid.
We don't get special kudos or handouts or special treatment from suppliers.
We use the same discount codes everyone else uses and shop for the best prices just like everyone else.
Heck, we don't even get to enter the ECF Contests - they are for the members to enjoy, not staff.

Reynolds owns VUSE.
And they bought the company that owned Blu, then sold Blu off to Imperial Tobacco.
Altria owns MarkTen.
NicoCigs, Puritane, Vype - all big tobacco e-cigs.

I hope that either
a) We get the regs thrown out or dramatically revised
or
b) It's a total FAIL, with a thriving grey/black market and cigalikes from BT getting nothing but mocked

Ok, but think of all the gratitude and appreciation
as well admiration you get as a mod/admin. That alone is worth
a million bucks..you're a rich woman! If Oliver fired you
he could hoard all that and keep it all to himself ... :D:cool:;):)

I also want a law that says you must pay your income tax with cash to a teller who takes it from you. None of this withholding from your check stuff. You should be made to get good old fashioned cash, go to a federal teller and fork it over. People would better understand just exactly how much of their hard earned money goes to government and there is no better way than to watch the stack of cash go from your hand to a fed's hand.

I agree is is very unlikely but could makes some noise as just about everyone smokers, non smokers and us all hate BT so it might get some attention to the fact this industry is being handed over to one of the most hated group of corporations.
Also most all of the deeming standing on no legal grounds. Right?
Yea if something like that were to be pulled off they would have to sell them or shut them down just like the options current vape business are left with under the consolidation effect of the deeming.
