The gub'min's sole purpose is only to protect us from the enemy.
But the gub'min has become our enemy
and now only tries protect us from ourselves... at gun point

Hmm...

If the gov't's sole purpose is to protect us from the enemy...
And the gov't only tries to protect us from ourselves....

Then, We are the gov't's enemy :- ) QED

The thing I like in the Cole Bishop amendment which is not present in 2058 is the requirement for the FDA to spell out what requirements must be met for approval. As it stands now, even if 2058 passes and keeps everything on the market as of 2016, the current Deeming provides no real guidance on how new approvals will be decided and granted. You could spend $2 million dollars completing a PMTA only to have it denied with some vague suggestion on how much more crap you have to provide for reconsideration. Under Cole-Bishop, those standards will be known in advance of the 2018 deadline.

The other advantage to that disclosure prior to the 2018 deadline is the opportunity to challenge the basis of those requirements if they onerous, arbitrary, and capricious. If they are so onerous as to being impossible to meet, there is certainly a basis for legal action, as the Tobacco Act does not empower the FDA to outright ban tobacco products. In addition, knowledge of the requirements for approval will also allow a vendor/manufacturer to better estimate the actual cost of completing the application, and not simply rely on the "predicted expense" the FDA calculated. Under the current regulation, even if 2058 pushes the grandfather date to 2016, you would still have to literally complete your application blind, hoping you hit all the checks the FDA will require for approval (assuming there are any).
I'm a little confused, what are you talking about? The only standard I remember in the Cole-Bishop Amendment is the battery standard, which we REALLY don't want the FDA messing around with. Did I miss something?

Damn! I've been waiting for somebody to put two and two together.
As I keep saying, vaping actually has little to do with this.
Dacronian nanny laws and worse are being passed and enforced on
all aspects of society. We as parents are no longer in charge of what our children eat or
study. Morality is being legislated and immorality enforced.
I could go on but I'd be preaching to the choir.

In a way it's a good thing this FDA thing is happening.
It's serving to wake up many vapers and snap us out of our complacency

Regards,
Hazy

I've had some really bad DIY too. And I also vape some most excellent juice made by a reputable juice company. This one just happens to suck regardless of where it came from.

My first 6 months, and I kid you not, involved testing over 800 Flavors. Bottles from 3ml-10ml and a Few 50ml mistakes I thought I would like.
I averaged 1 in 10 I could tolerate and one in 50 that were acceptable but nothing special.
Finally I decided to Dump that much into DIY and have not looked back:thumb:
Yes, I have created a Few FrankinVapes and even Baby Powder(4 different ways) but at minimal cost/loss and a great learning experience.
Now if it isn't right I know who and what to blame.:thumb:

Never going to happen...
you taking bets? Much is going to happen before it gets fixed.
But I have great faith that America will once again stand for liberty..and Donald has nothing to do with.

It has already begun, in part right here

Yeah, I was thinking/hoping for the same thing in the 90's when we came way closer to the R word than we are now. Still waiting.

I'll take that bet...

Thing is this, If it's only a few of us that are active we are just blown off. It's all a numbers game, if we as a community do this on a regular basis we will get noticed. But if only a few of us are active we're ignored as an acceptable loss and not threat to their seat of power.

Bottom line get active, regularly contact your Congressman and Representatives (write, email, webpage, Facebook, etc.). Cite "facts" and back up with the real science, great source is the National Health site in the UK, include things like the paper released by the Royal Collage of Physicians. Tell those in power to justify their position when the actual "legit" science supports Vaping and banning/restricting supports Big Tobacco .

Patty Murry's time should be up, she has been there forever and I have supported her in the past, NO MORE! The only way to change this "nanny state" that I live in and love is change. I personally would like to start that change by making Ms. Murry a private citizen. I also recieved the canned responce. Simply not good enough anymore!

You might consider mentioning ProVape in your messages. They are in Monroe, WA. Even if you're not a fan of their products, it is undeniable that they are the kind of small business the US should be proud of and the regulations will close their doors.

I think you may be caught up in the Dem vs Rep BS.
The parties are both corrupt. What is going down has been going down since right after WWII but the plan is one that couldn't be forced on the population, it had to be slowly put in place...so we couldn't tell we were getting screwed until it was in to the hilt.

5 bucks then. Or I'll gladly bet my VAMO

Proudly designed and made in America. Isn't that what we want?

Revolution?
LOL...good 'cause George et al grew rope.. ...
Too early for that then..nobody really felt too oppressed.
If that was going to happen in the 90's it would have happened in the 70's/80's when all the vets where still ticked off. VVAW
urged us all to get slingshots in case our guns got taken away. They knew it was coming
I'm sure you're aware of what recently happened in Nevada,
the Bundys, LaVoy Finicum?
