Impeachment is the process of bringing charges, he was not convicted. Basically, case dismissed.

Although he was disbarred and paid a fine for perjury as a result of a subsequent law suit regarding Paula Jones - much of which came up during the impeachment. But yeah, acquitted by the Senate....

As much as we wish to Speak our piece on this years Inaugural Change, and trust me I have my concerns, None of us Want this Thread Locked.
Just reminding we have been warned and we have a Topic of concern to Focus more directly upon.

Our Focus needs to be on Congress and Cole-Bishop, H.R.2058
A Billion Lives
Corrupt State Legislation for Tax Profits from minority groups without just reasoning.

You deserve Better, I deserve better and this Country Deserves Better! :grr:

The local shop I used to go to has apparently taken a stand of:
"Let's get as much money as we can, while we can, and when they shut us down, we'll cash out and move on to the next fad."

It's sad too, because they had like 6 locations and were poised to keep growing. I'd seen them create so many jobs for people, and they were little bright spots of local economy booms.
But now, they're just in it for whatever they can rake in before the axe falls.

Such is the American Dream - Grab the money and Run
While it does temporarily boost the economy it is as artificial as one time Tax Refunds. A Placebo when a Cure is needed.

yeah what I figured. I had kinda lost track of it.
Actually, a few daze ago, the first Democrat stepped up to the plate and co-sponsored it.

I'd like to know where all the smart people are this weekend. Probably being smart somewhere. More smart than I anyway.

From what I have gathered and ascertained, the general feeling is 2058 isn't going anywhere while Cole/Bishop is going to save the day (well, you know what I mean). But... there are different feelings on that as well.

Cole bishop will soften the blow some but not save the day.

with Cole bishop the FDA sets standards for mods.
The "grandfather date" changes which will supposedly let more products stay on the market using an easier approval process.
Mods however are a separate issue as they are specifically mentioned in Cole Bishop.

E-cigarette players fume over favored security firm | 2016-06-18 | Indianapolis Business Journal | IBJ.com
State Sen. Phil Boots, R-Crawfordsville, said he thinks the state’s vaping rules look “a little fishy. … It’s an attempt to exclude people. It’s a back-door way of regulating this industry.”

But he added: “If legislators don’t hear from their constituents on this issue, it’s going to be a non-issue. When people don’t scream loud enough, legislators don’t respond.”
This is what many of us have been saying since 2009...
And on the whole vapers have not done nearly enough screaming.

Petitions , e-mails, what have you...

Kinda hard to outscream 13 billion dollars and the media din and junk science rattles drummed up by the other side.

And legislators did hear from their constituents. Except for a very few, their lukewarm dor ignorant responses have been posted in this thread.

Maybe them deaf, understand only $ign-language...

I think Vaper's have done Enough screaming. Actually, More than Enough.

They just haven't done it at the Right People.
Sadly, most of the screaming has been done by those of us here on the forum. Our voices just aren't loud enough since so many vaporers are not even aware that they need to be screaming and until/unless every single vape vendor (on-line and B&M's) get involved it will be just us. How do we get the word out to all those out there that don't know what is coming. I can't see it happening until it is to late. It probably already is but I keep fighting and hoping.

The battery/mod part irritates me personally and I think that should be removed. The FDA's power should not be expanded to cover consumer electronics or any other non food/cosmetic product INCLUDING tobacco other than the standards for growing the crop itself. It is a violation of their charter to do so. IT is the job of the consumer product safety commission to oversee those products and there are already standards in place for most regulated mods to follow when it comes to electronics and battery safety.

Correct.
The e-cigarette industry despite contrary belief is and always has been regulated
by Federal law.
Federal Food and Drugs Act of 1906
On the books in some form or another since 1906.

Very good point. I bet the Consumer Product Safety Commission was not consulted by the FDA before the FDA blatantly stepped all over their authority. Wonder if one agency can sue another agency for this breach? This may need its own thread to discuss?

Yes. You are Right.

But it is Actually Worse than that. Because Most of the Time our screaming goes No Farther than the ECF thread it is in. For the Most Part, it's all Contained within the ECF itself.
