I do, I was partly being facetious and partly pointing out that we've gotten to a point in our society where people will argue about harm from everything.
Yes, but they do not obsess over it like vapers do. My point is that most people here are just as propagandized as Pamawoman's twit. They just express it slightly differently here, and perhaps not quite to the same degree but in the end most vapers are equally convinced by the propaganda that "there must be something wrong with it".
I'm in complete agreement with you. I even take the "extreme" position of questioning why we support age restrictions. It's not a popular viewpoint, though I'm not seen as quite the nutter I was before.

I don't support age restrictions. When everyone is carded when buying coffee, and the coffee is secreted behind a counter in the same locked cabinet as the cigs, then I might agree to age restrictions... and as already pointed out, accepting age restrictions absolutely says you accept there is something very wrong with vaping, so wrong young people should never dare have access.
The problem with age restrictions is that period of (averaging from when people have said they started) 3-6 years ( 6-9 in CA) from 13,14,15 to 18, that is more than enough to get one hooked on cigs.
Denying youth access to vaping denies them a harmless alternative that can get them off cigs before it's a problem.
"Except that" doesn't really respond to my point. It's true that it doesn't apply to vaping, imo, but the restrictions on vaping for those who smoke,(and no matter what the age), isn't a reasonable position for anyone concerned about the health of teens. Even now with studies that are seeing a low end of 30% effective cessation and 80% on the high end, those are better figures than cold turkey or NRT's that are at best 1% and even then, not for more than 6-9 months before recidivism.

I wasn't quite sure what you were saying. It seemed to be the usual line of impressionable age and along the lines of nicotine altering growing minds(as evidenced by rats). If you were saying that teens shouldn't be restricted from vaping, since it will likely keep them from developing a smoking addiction, we're in agreement.
