I kinda think we should have our politicians via lottery, not election, and NOBOBY is excluded. No one. I can't imagine it would be worse than what we have going on now, though doing it that way might just be a recipe to add MORE sociopaths to the general population 
But seriously, I think sometimes the desire not to BE a politician is a qualifier to be an excellent politician, but unfortunately even the best of us with "Absolute power..." etc., might fall victim to the sociopathy from politics, though making sure EVERYONE and ANYONE would be possibly up for their "turn" might lead to more interesting outcomes.... If you know the laws you are making are going to APPLY to you for the next "lottery cycle" I think that might be an interesting outcome. Also, we turn all the lobbyists into unpaid street mimes. I wouldn't even toss them a *penny*, LOL.

The alternative warning statement, under 21 CFR § 1143.3(c), for applicable package labels and advertisements reads:
"This product is made from tobacco."
Products that are not made or derived from tobacco do not meet the definition of "covered tobacco product" and are not required to carry any of the required warnings or to submit a self-certification.

Clearly this Product does Not meet the Statutory Definition of a "Covered Tobacco Product". So, at best, it would be considered a "Component" in the eyes of the FDA.

The warnings have popped up on atties and mods all over the EU after the TPD2 kicked in.
Actually the warning is only required in the UK afaik, but them Chinese just print'em on anything these days (just to be sure).
Since the atty shown above also has the "2ml" in red on it, I think it's a EU marketed product regulated by TPD2.

We never wore helmets when I was a kid either and I think the only time I wore shoes in the summer was for church on Sunday. During those months I'd get up, do chores, have breakfast and then spend the day in the woods and fields running around, fishing, etc until supper then it was back out til dark. All without adult supervision. Now my sister won't even let her kids leave the yard and they have to stay where she can see them. I'm glad it wasn't like that for me.
I remember the summer when I turned 12 we stole a bunch of scrap wood and stuff from the barn and spent most of the summer building a "fort" out in the woods.
Got my first gun, a youth model .22lr, for my 9th birthday. Most would probably flip if that happened these days and don't want their kids having bb guns or even toy guns and I'm not even that old. Glad I grew up when I did.

Did that, too! Broken thermometer. A little got onto my senior ring and when I rubbed it it turned a really nice shade of shiny silver. I finally rubbed enough to get it all off, but it probably just sank into the gold.
When I found out that mercury was an absorption issue for skin I quit wearing it. I finally sold that senior class ring for $400 in the 70s when gold prices soared.
We grew up during a time when Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry Finn were on the suggested reading list in grammar school classrooms. As long as I was home for supper all was good.
Nowadays, some kids don't even view Boy Scouts as something they want to do. There's no wireless for their tablets camping out in the woods. Lucky that we all had transistor radios. If we were too far out for an AM station it didn't matter. We found other things to do on a camping trip. Fishing and Capture the Flag were good choices. We learned early on that there's worms for fish bait under the leaves in the woods.

is the kid laying around watching tv/playing computer games and calls granny on the phone to bring him another grape soda. 
I truly do feel bad for the kids today. They have no idea as to all the fun they are missing out on. During the summer we came in for meals and bed time. During the school year we came home from school, got a snack and back out we went until dinner time.

So true... I am always amazed at how things change. Around here, we get radio PSAs to take your kids to the "forest" for parents, as if the idea of taking them to a park is somehow novel.... Also, given it's AZ, it takes about 45 minutes drive from my location to GET to a forest, so the "I wanna swim, I wanna climb trees, are we there yet?" "Why yes, son, we are!" message is a little unconvincing... But, I thought it was pretty SAD when parents are invited to transport their kids to the forest, rather than have them just play online. I too was one who could go amuse myself wherever, whenever. That worked out great while in Sydney and I would ride my "adopted" horse all over the place, or even get on trains to go to the beach after school, etc. Then we moved to the US, and my parents got all freaky about "crime" and whatnot, LOL, that's when I took up biking for serious, as I wasn't old enough to drive but needed to get out of my house, badly. I'd regularly bike to Mt. Vernon and back from Potoamc, it was an over 100 mile ride, and kept me busy all day (by that age, my parents were HAPPY for me to be out of the house whenever, LOL).
I also remember my little brother and his pal setting GI Joes *on fire* and the school (which was a Waldorf school, for those of you who may know them, kinda a freaky weird art school) administration didn't know what to do as a) they believed in wooden toys for kids and actually thought my brother was torching them due to being plastic, not just being a Kid,
, and couldn't decide whether to punish them or admire them, they did end up being punished in the end, but very lightly.By contrast, MY kid in a public school got called to the carpet (as did I) for being bored in class after finishing his work, and drew a picture of his video game-- I got called in for the "Colombine Treatment" as I like to call it (I'm not joking about Colombine, but this seems to be when the schools really turned on kids, for good) and I was most indignant and eventually the administrators had to back down, but seriously? This was middle school and half his friends were smoking.... various things... during recess? Surely there's more to worry about than a picture, there...
I'm glad my kiddo had lots of outside time, he also had *the best* daycare provider for awhile who lived on a farm, let the kids play in the stream and dam it up, as well as fighting with airsoft rifles and climb trees and swim and whatnot. She was the best, totally organized, Catholic, and had about 8 kids of her own, she somehow managed organized chaos at all times, and despite all this action, the only real injury my kiddo sustained was throwing a rock, repeatedly, into the air until it finally hit him on the head. I only blame my kiddo for this, though he continues to maintain to this day, "I do not regret it, Mom." I was so happy to have found her, and we took the kid everyplace we travelled that was fun, including my honeymoon actually. My ex had to suddenly go to rehab and my mom was travelling.... That ended up the best trip ever, and the husband was very understanding about it.... 2 weeks traveling in a small car with a 6 yr old, LOL, it was really something. I don't think there's a state the kid hasn't visited, actually...
I don't run into so many kids these days where that is the case. I don't' think our newest generation are vegetables, but they have a LOT to learn about having fun, IMO, and that's usually not their fault.
However, it's interesting how automation and electronics are hemming us in, much like governmental interference in all aspects of life, I had to regularly "deprogram" my kid from some of the nonsense he was learning in school, it's truly pathetic. I wish they had focused more on math instead, despite passing the GED in 10th grade, I think my son did that with knowledge learned from his Private Catholic school through 6th grade. In a TOTALLY mistaken assumption when we moved here, I actually had my kid REPEAT a year since I was certain the curricula were different.... and they WERE, but not in the way I had expected.
I'm in a "privatize everything" mood ATM. Including e-cigs, I feel a private company would do a much better job with that than the FDA or anyone else...
