All that would need to be done is for merchant banks to change the category of ENDS products from "high risk" to "restricted" and online vape sales can be curtailed almost overnight.

That's a prime point in protecting our right to vape. Those in power can eradicate just about anything they desire. Stocking up on all the hardware and learning to make your own juice is a step in the right direction. Winding your own coils is a must. Learning to make your own juice is equally important. Past that, you have to stock up on hardware, especially coils, wire, and mods, and all the components associated with maintaining the ability to mix juice, flavored and unflavored.

It's possible to continue on with our vaping and stay off the cigs. You just can't run out of any part of the needed hardware and components of DIY juice. I'm confident that vendors who sell juices and hardware are destined to feel the pressure of those who want to shut down vaping.

Government does realize that the tobacco tax cow will die out if vaping steals away all the current purchasers of packaged cigarettes.

I wholeheartedly agree with everything you said. Just remember flavoring, VG, PG and wire for coils won't be banned. Nicotine is likely to be banned or heavily taxed and regulated. Batteries are possibly another weakness

I agree. Nicotine and premixed juice could be outlawed. PG, VG, flavoring, and coil wire all have other uses that have little or no association with vaping. It's why I have 4 liters of 100mg nic re-bottled and in the freezer. If I stop vaping one day I want that to be solely my decision.

I just included coil wire, PG, VG, and recoiling supplies as a completion to the stock I intend to maintain. Coil wire is used by florists and for various other wire tying applications.

Should we be stocking up on 18650s too? I haven't read much about that. I wonder how long new batteries, stored at I think it's supposed to be a 40% charge will last??

It's possible that batteries may very well become an issue and harder to find (at least decent ones). I don't know what to tell you as far as storing them. All my batts from various places recently have come to be charged at exactly 3.5V so I assume that is what manufacturers charge them to for optimal storage. But I have no idea how long they would last in storage even if you check them and keep them at the "right" voltage.

I'm not sure what to do about batteries. I really don't want to hoard them.

Thank you. I really don't want to be hoarding anything else, especially since the Corona virus has sparked shortages of everything! I bet Mooch has addressed this issue. I need to go mosey around in the batteries and chargers area.

why do you guys think we can't be jailed?
this country always has money for new prisons.
us leading the world in people locked up makes
me ashamed.
The US is the only country in the world people don't mind being locked up. This country has become soft on criminals.

trading in banned substances?

I don't know of any laws that would send someone to jail for vaping. I don't think that will happen. Perhaps if we were buying and selling vape gear commercially after the products had been banned it might happen. Who knows? A large number of members here have stocked up so we will have all the vape gear we need to have for the rest of our lives without buying anything that has been banned.

I am unashamed. Perhaps we have more incarcerations due to more crimes committed.

I have a few 18650's that are years old and still work fine. What happens over time is that internal resistance rises in a cell due to little pathways that form in the electrolyte and that leads to a slow partial self discharge in storage. Rotate your cells to extend their lifetime.

If you have a charger that displays internal resistance that can be used as an indicator of health. Most, if not all chargers don't read internal resistance accurately according to Mooch's testing. Different chargers will read different values and some aren't repeatable. My latest charger purchase, the Miboxer C4, reads IR with a repeatable value for each cell instead of giving me some random number each time. Whether or not it's an accurate or even a ballpark number is up for grabs, but since it's repeatable I consider it to be a good reference indicator of cell condition.

Thanks for explaining this. I will look at the Miboxer C4 charger.

Many of us have plenty of VG around. Also hand sanitizer is hard to find. So is aloe vera gel.

I got this off the WHO website, they had a 10L recipe for hospitals, so I scaled it down to 1 or 2 liter batches. I added a few drops of some essential oil for fragrance.

Thought I read the alcohol content needs to remain 85% at minimum to be effective. 6ml vg and 0% dw would be a better mix imo.

This is awesome! I made some on Sunday, but mine was a much rougher version. Since there was no 90 + isopropyl alcohol to be found in this town, I went to the liquor store and bought 95% alcohol by volume Everclear and used it along with the aloe vera gel from the health food store. I just did 3 parts alcohol to one part aloe vera. If anyone can't find the 90+ alcohol, a trip to the liquor store can fix you right up!! I put it in spray bottles for sanitizing surfaces and I also put some in the little soft plastic ejuice bottles for my husband to carry in his pocket at work.

I do the simple approach:

Given 70% isopropyl is all that's kind of readily available in my area:
7 oz iso 70% + 1 oz vg = 8 oz hand sanitizer 61%

Shake before use.

(90% iso is nicer, as it gives more headroom to add vg, but you work with what's available)
