Interesting comments, I've never considered pharma could have a hand in it. I tend to agree that it's difficult to pinpoint who's pulling the strings without some deep (unbiased and apolitical) research. Does anyone do unbiased apoli... yeah no :)

I do research - for me, though I have no commercial profit motive.

When the nation of India, who I used to think was an up and coming third World nation, outlawed all vape products because the prime minister of India said she was watching what was happening in the US {remember all the people dying from what turned out to be black market THC products?}- therefor she decided to outlaw vaping in India {there are now heavy duty fines and even jail for possession of vape products in India}

So I did some research - Heavy rates of both cigarette smoking and lung cancer in India !!!

OK, now that I think about it it makes sense.
- In a country with over population being a problem outlawing vaping and having more people smoking cigarettes may help - So keep up the good work India
and reduce your population !!!

Hell - We don't need that kind of crap over here
- We are not that overpopulated and all indications are that vaping is a way of nicotine/tobacoo use that is much, much safer than almost all other tobacco products, especially cigarettes.

And remember to keep track of our enemies - the politicains are not all bad, lets keep up the education
- But maybe people in the business should realize the 'gold rush' is over- It was the rapidly expanding vape use, especially among the young, that bothered the anti tobacco crowd tha most - a relatively stable vape market designed to appeal to tobacco smokers who want to quit lit tobacco is sustainable.

But never forget the arch villian: Mickey Blunborg [SIC] who spent one billion dollars for anti tobacco
and well over a hundred million anti vape - What I keep wondering is how many politicians are in debt to him??? - Wonder if he bought off the prime minister of India ???

    Somewhere between here and there
I learned last night that the vape mail ban has been added to the budget bill that will most likely be signed. I had read about the bill and emailed representatives but just found out it had been lumped on to the budget bill.

The one where if a Bill Can't be Passed on it's own, it is Stuffed in on something that Can.
I don't recall coming up that many people got off on telling others how to live their lives. It's rampant now. If this is the woke age then I'm going back to sleep.

Hurdling back in time to becoming the empire from which we chose to secede?

In any case, how can it be that one can buy a "smoking lamp" online but not a vape mod or tank? Or a cigar cutter, or a...

BTW, the word "b-ng?", er, I mean smoking lamp, is sensored.

Looks like maybe for my upcoming birthday, I might be gettin' a garage freezer and a few liters of nic.

Anybody dig into the legislation enough to know if Nic is covered?
I wouldn't be surprised if they left it out. Clearly, the people writing this code don't have any idea what they're doing...

Maybe it just feels that way. When I was a lad going camping in the mountains we used to carry a map showing which counties didn't allow you to drink beer on Sundays. There were plenty of rules back then, just different rules than today. Meet the new boss, same as the old boss.

From what I can see nic is a grey area and may not be covered by the current rules. They would need to pass specific rules to enable its sale to the tobacco industry but not to individuals. Like licensed buyers only. They could pass that overnight though.

I learned last night that the vape mail ban has been added to the budget bill that will most likely be signed. I had read about the bill and emailed representatives but just found out it had been lumped on to the budget bill.
To quote myself as I wrote this earlier:

"The new Covid 19 relief bill is supposedly banning USPS delivery of vape products.

Did you know there has been, and probably still is, a ban on sending any drinking alcohol products through the mail? - But I still get my red wine online and if local they deliver with their own truck and out of state they use private carriers.

Same will now happen with vaping and if Fedex and/or UPS will not deliver, someone else will.

Yes, vaping will become more expensive to buy online, but even as it is in my state adult signature is required even through USPS and that often costs 7 dollars more per order - So what?

The only thing to worry about is where will the restrictions stop? Vermont, Bernie Sanders home state has banned all online purchases !!! Can they outlaw all online purchases, apparently some states already have, restrict interstate shipments - Or, like in the nation of India, outlaw vaping entirely?

Funny how many from my generation fought over 50 years to get marijuana either decriminalized, or as it is in my state, and more and more states in the US, legalized completely.

After all those years and how many billons and trillions of dollars wasted in the war on drugs, not to mention the misery and suffering caused by this so called war - Do we now have to go through this again with tobacco products such as vaping ????

Is it because many of our politicians are creeps - who enjoy misery and suffering???

For the children you say mister creep politician? - After all the suffering you caused my generation, you have no ....... right to say you are doing anything to protect those under 21 from vaping

    - Until you can tell us how to protect those under 21, over 21, and all the rest of US from you !!!
