    So out of curiosity I just called one of the 2 local vape shops in my area. The person on the phone had no clue about the vape mail ban or PMTA.

    Let me repeat that...

    The person on the phone had no clue about the vape mail ban or PMTA.

    Was that person the owner?

    Unlikely but I don't know. However, if the employees are unaware of these things then they aren't informing their customers of the issues therefore they aren't doing their part to get vapers to take actions that can be taken. Advocacy only works if you engage in it.

    Owners are probably not telling their employees, because they're afraid they'll quit due to job insecurity and mistakenly afraid to tell their customers, thinking they'll just quit vaping. Some probably would.

    Maybe, where is a vape shop worker going to go get a job these days? (I live in an economically depressed area of the USA)

    What? They're not hiring clowns in the circus where you live?:lol: Our governor has just completely opened up our state, so jobs, except for oil workers (thank you, Biden) aren't a problem. These kids can get jobs waiting tables at the now fully opened restaurants and bars.

    I can see why a B&M owner wouldn't be discussing vape mail ending with employees or customers, as those customers are already coming to the store and they as well as the employees won't have a problem until PMTA decisions come out. The ones who are staying in business for now are likely looking forward to more traffic once their internet competition is crippled.

    It's the people who are not yet coming in to the stores, ordering over the web, that are affected.

    I have a question regarding the (horrible) upcoming shipping ban. Is ejuice and nicotine included? I thought it was just hardware but I’m seeing different things and I thought I’d ask you fine folks who are in the know. Also, what is the last date that stores will be legally able to ship? I think I remember reading April 24, 2021, but again, I want to confirm that with a reliable source.
    Finally, I know internationally we have the PayPal issue but have found the work around with gift cards at FT. So will we still be able to order vape stuff from FT after the ban? Given that packages originate as China post and are usually marked with something generic like “electronic items” (or in my last shipment, “filters”) the package wouldn’t be against the rules and be deliverable once it’s transferred to usps?
    Thanks in advance for your help/answers. It’s so sad things have got to this point. I’m glad I stocked up but worry about my friend who despite my warnings hasn’t stocked up much on hardware and doesn’t do diy ejuice.

    Yes. Everything that is considered "tobacco product", including non-nicotine vape hardware and substances.

    Source: Text - S.1253 - 116th Congress (2019-2020): Preventing Online Sales of E-Cigarettes to Children Act

    ...“(7) ELECTRONIC NICOTINE DELIVERY SYSTEM.—The term ‘electronic nicotine delivery system’—
    “(A) means any electronic device that, through an aerosolized solution, delivers nicotine, flavor, or any other substance to the user inhaling from the device;

    “(B) includes—
    “(i) an e-cigarette;

    “(ii) an e-hookah;

    “(iii) an e-cigar;

    “(iv) a vape pen;

    “(v) an advanced refillable personal vaporizer;

    “(vi) an electronic pipe; and

    “(vii) any component, liquid, part, or accessory of a device described in subparagraph (A), without regard to whether the component, liquid, part, or accessory is sold separately from the device;...

    Everything that is even remotely related to vaping in on a no-fly list. Sorry, Chels. There's no date set yet, but many stores have already announced that the last shipping day will be March 26...

    No idea. Probably, but if your package should get caught, you might get a letter from the US Customs.:facepalm:

    As UncleJunkle posted, pretty much everything from nicotine to drip tips can't be shipped to consumers. The FT and Chinese vendor issue is most likely to be a crap shoot, with some packages getting through but they won't be legal.

    It's time to have a serious talk with your friend, and at least have them pay for a liter of 100mg even if you order it. It's OK to mix for a friend or two but they have to put some effort or money into it so you don't deplete your stock.

    Thank you. It doesn’t seem like FT cares as much as other sites (like Heaven Gifts who can’t seem to come up with a payment method for US customers) so maybe they will take the risk and ship to us.

    @ChelsB What 440BB said. Also, forget the vape mail ban. Anything that does not have a PMTA submitted to the FDA is illegal to import as far as I know. And if it does have a submitted PMTA and it was rejected, it is illegal to import as far as I know.

    Will you get arrested or fined? Not likely. You will get a letter and your products will be "destroyed".

    You won't get your money back from FT because FT has put USA on it's vape ban list to cover it's ..... You agree that you will take it as it comes and not hold FT responsible for customs confiscations.

    Well you did what you can, you warned your friend. At least until September, they can at least buy all their stuff at a vape shop and pay out the nose for it.
    But be careful with "friends". I don't really know any local vapers but if I did they wouldn't know I have nicotine - I 'd tell them I vape 0mg.

    I pleaded with my neighbor to stock up. He’s giving it a half hearted attempt. I am pushing him for my benefit more than his cuz I know where he’s going to mooch when he runs out.
