Meanwhile Canada has a similar problem with 'control freaks' and their well funded cartel out to destroy vaping:

News Alert | New Brunswick Bans Flavours | RegWatch

Another Canadian province bans flavours in nicotine vaping products in response to the moral panic over teen vaping.

There are a lot of American makers of liquid that this could be a lifeline for, as they are going through the PMTA process. A small potential victory in the face of annihilation.

I will be visiting a Mr. E-liquid store to celebrate if this court order comes to pass.

I'll take any victory at this point. I found nobody who made menthol as well as Mr. E.

Hmmm... it's been a minute, or a few years since I was active on this forum. Stocked up everything for Vapocalypse 2016 and kinda lost keeping in touch with the up-to-the-minute narrative, since I've just kept adding cool new things to vaping pile for the last 5 years ... but oddly enough, I've mostly remained idled out in Dicodes & Svoemesto and found nothing earth-shattering to change my daily drivers.

So... within the past decade vaping has successfully been driven underground or to junk at gas stations similar to the blu e-cigs I started with back in 2009 (but loaded with nic salt); recreational or medical cannabis is legal nearly everywhere, jurisdiction by jurisdiction psychedelic drugs are being decriminalized, the glorious Nixon administration's "war on drugs" seems to be drawing to a close altogether, and publicly listed companies on NASDAQ whose stock I'm quite happy to own are running clinical trials on candyflipping (Does doing ... + .... make you less depressed? Anecdotal observations say: it sure does, plus, it's fun).

Everything is allowed except for vaping nic? Wow, go figure. Cigarette companies, lobbyists, and tobacco bonds seem to be the (un)holy trifecta for controlling the highest level of organized crime (government).

It'll be interesting to see what the next decade brings.

Vaping has been over and about to get banned/driven underground ever since we started, I guess it's finally -- almost -- happened. Perhaps most interesting, the few vape shops I visit in person seem to be entirely unaware of their predicament, except for flavor bans.

I used to vape mostly tobacco flavors, but ever since they've been banned I've discovered that I like being able to DIY Ice Cream Cookies with Cherry Swirls. F--k the police state.

Happy Apocalypse to all my old friends I see in this thread, and may the Force be with Us (a few decades of frozen nic and 100s of mods doesn't hurt either).

Cheers!

When I picked up groceries the other day, the person saw my vape and asked questions as she wants to stop spending over 8.00 a pack for cigs. When I explained about the PMTA and mail ban, she was surprised because she said a new vape shop just opened around the corner. She wondered why they would do that with vaping being shut down.

    She's not the only one.

I've been noticing this trend for years even before vaping was the big issue - Continuous anti tobacco, of all types, advertising and 'they' keep citing statistics saying less and less people were smoking - And yet 'smoke shops' keep opening up all over the city {Las Vegas} and now many are combinations smoke/vape/gift shops - My local shop just stocked up on loads of new vape juices and hardware - Asked him if I could order online from him {because of the looming postal ban}, and he said legally he could only buy from his wholesaler.

Now here is a new question - Some states have completely outlawed online sales of vape products completely.
NOW CAN DEALERS ISSUE CAGTALOGS YOU CAN BUY FROM??? and/or can you place orders over the phone???

None of the major carriers (USPS, UPS, FedEx) will deliver packages known to contain vaping products. That's what's killing online stores - and maybe giving brick and mortar retail a lifeline? Of sorts. Still seems a high risk opening a shop that caters to a market that's being attacked from 4 different angles...

As of today the USPS is still shipping vape products and some online dealers have gone back to using USPS because USPS claims they can not yet enforce the vape product ban.
Meantime I've already received an order through one of the many independent shippers that are willing to ship vape products.
But why are all the stores still open and opening?
    - Seems they use a versatile model of retailing - Most will sell any tobacco product they can legally sell and some are combination snack and gift shops as well - I guess you might call them 'survivors'.

Read the laws. They likely do not say "online". They likely say internet and mail order or some other words that include all sales made using mail delivery to the home via a courier. But you have to read the laws you are questioning in order to find out.

If I was in the vape and/or tobacco business I would get a lawyer who specializes in this type of law - I read somewhere there is a law firm {I imagine there are probably several} that specializes in tobacco/vape law.

In talking to a friend yesterday she told me a new vape shop just opened a few weeks ago by her. I was surprised to hear that too thinking with all the new regs and more to come and the looming mail ban, credit card processors shutting down services to vape shops why would anyone want to open a vape shop.

Some of these new shops might be getting into business with the intent of positioning themselves as CBD vendors, not just vape. For now, CBD seems like a more profitable and safer business venture. For now.

That's a good thought! Although here I swear there is one on every corner, heck you can even buy it at local grocery chains so...
I'll have to ask her if it's a vape / cbd shop.

Your spirit and aggressiveness is admirable. I mean that. I’m speaking on the whole, not anecdotally. I think you have to look no further than vape shop owners and staff…many of whom had no idea that Deeming even existed.

Many moons ago I tried to get together on a weekend with vapers in Downtown Chicago at the large Picasso statue. They were told to drop in to the area anytime from 12 noon to 8PM.

I notified at least 10 vape shops in the area by email and by phone. They were all emailed a flyer. I posted the info several times on this site and others.

I never saw the guy, but allegedly one guy did show up.

Some vape stores said to me that they were having sales and that they would not direct anyone to meet up to discuss the PMTA and to get organized.

The Picasso statue is hard to miss. Especially for a Chitowner like I once was.
