Argg I missed that you were doing that.
Got the juice today bad, Thank you. I am having wicking issues with it though. The pg I was using was great, but with the peg I am getting dry hits. I guess I am going to have to take out the filler cap.

I'd be really surprised if those are true 3.7V devices. I've yet to see a production battery, aside from the Kangers, that are "true 3.7V" units.
Got burned by that advertising a few times myself (T-Rex and MaxX).
but instead of trying to re-seat the filler plugs I just inserted the washers flat side down and pushed them up against the top of the cups.
I am not a big vapor either, and have become accustomed to 1 second draws. I've been calling them little sips, heheh. My problem is that I find myself holding this thing in my lips when preoccupied with something, and taking these sips each time I breathe. I eventually come up for air when it dawns on me what I am doing.
I don't like my juice at 3.7 volts either, and adapt the KR8 to a 3 volt 510 battery. This is a perfect combination for me and my juice. Fortunately, I found my sweet spot right away and hope others can find theirs too.
I can't remember now, but has anyone tried the XL's with the filler plug removed? (just the silicone washer and mouthpiece)? I'm trying that now with both the 808D and 510 version and it seems to working ok. No leaks so far and vaping fine.
Do keep us posted 'banjo'. I preferred filling these by dripping on the plastic versions, so this would be nice if it proves to be leak proof. From what 'bad' said above it should if you don't overfill.
BTW, Did you remove the filler ring altogether and just use the regular or seat both flat?
You're welcome Charlie. I doubt if many of us here will be leaving the filler ring in, but for right now I am trying to test these things just like they came out of the box.thank you br, that's the kind of experiences we need to see here. now get that old digital camera out and work on some more info. Someday this will all be put together in a E2 user guide and your last post will be included. PLAY with your camera old timer.

If you don't remove that filler ring, it's almost impossible to get water or juice or anything else out of there.
